Rewatching the trailer a thought sprouted in ma mind. Why Harbinger identifies himself with the Collectors? He says "We have returned." Wasn't he present since the beginning of the war? Also, Shepard must feel completely intimidated seeing Collectors alive and kicking on Earth. The Suicide Mission turns out to have been a failure.

'We' is likely the Reapers. Omega DLC will probably fit right into ME3 as the 'return of Harbinger' DLC, as if it was never not in the game. (whereas Leviathan seems more like a standalone adventure). Consider Omega DLC the Shadow Broker of ME3, while Leviathan is the Overlord of ME3.
Suicide Mission wasn't a failure. You crippled the Collectors for sure, and stopped their attacks and attempts at creating a Human Reaper.
If IT is true, Harbinger likely hoped to obtain you by the beginning of ME2 anyway
, but other factors/factions complicated things, over and over. But yeah, Shepard himself may have been the intent for the Human Reaper, so Harbinger is like ..."Pffft. What-ever. We're invading anyway, we still have Collector ships, and we've already invaded your mind. It's a matter of time before you fall to me and we take you in."
ME2's mission wasn't a failure, but everything in ME2 was a delaying tactic against the Reapers while the galaxy gets prepped in SOME fashion for the invasion, even if officials deny the Reaper threat.

Harbinger is the big bad, the real Intelligence. Why are people so blindddddddd. He's the leader, and basically has all of the OTHER Reapers indoctrinated under his heel. He's the biggest rogue AI I've seen in my life.

Yes this is true, regardless of what I said about the Suicide Mission.
Everything in the pre-ending DLC plans are likely set up to put together puzzle pieces of the story for us, but on Shepard's end, just further show that he is efffffed up in the head.
I wouldn't be surprised to see a scene where Shepard freaks out a little, in private, about how the Collectors are still up to things and he was never able to completely end their/the Reapers' plans.

I think the reason people are so "blind" is there is no definitive evidence to prove this. Imagine if we had a trial to convict Harbinger as the Catalyst. Would you really have the evidence to get people to find him guilty? I mean it's good speculation but let's refrain from talking about it like absolute fact.SwobyJ wrote...

I've never needed definitive proof in other stories for things right in front of my face.
I guess it is my writer's mind, but this is kind of how specuation even works, in fiction.
It's like the Joker's Sister story. Even if we listen to the whole thing, I guess unless Joker himself confirms what exactly happened, in detail, there will be people that say "Nah, its just speculation. It might be Joker's sister, but we don't know."

(I believe this story was deliberate in style, by the way. Many of ME3's mini-stories are.)
It's called inference. Harbinger has 'inferred' pretty much the whole plot with ME3-Shepard since ME2-Horizon, but that still isn't enough for many people yet. I understand that, but it does make me /facepalm at this point.
