Something about that armor looks prothean to me. I cant really explain why. Too bulky to be a salarian, really, so I'm going turian or prothean.

Edit: No, I think I figured out why it feels prothean to me. It looks like DA:O templar armor, and protheans are like templars in space. Jerks who want to control everything.

I'm going to go out on a limb, a Quarian with no mask?  The hood design reminds me of Quarians

yeah but it has a cloth hood and the armor is bulky like Turian armor. However it does have that chest bulge that all Salarian armor has. Really, bulky Salarian armor? No.

Here's an idea out of left field. The objective is to get into Omega? So, what if it's Kasumi, the ultimate thief or so we're led to believe?

The hood matches hers except for the center stripe and the face would be vaguely similar if we could clean up the image CSI-style:

Now some people might have Kasumi dead in their game or never picked her up at all, so we could say it's some other infiltrator character as a stand-in, which takes me back to a Salarian, Turian, or human in bulky armor with Kasumi's hood. On the other hand, It could be Kasumi's character model straight out in armor that is more bulky than what she normally wears for more protection or for some other reason.

EDIT: a larger Kasumi picture

Maybe it's Javiks old flame. I would pay money to see Javik having a heart again. It's either a new species that we have heard about, but have never seen, or Turian, Salarian, or Prothean.

I'm about 90% positive it's Kasumi, with the lip tattoo/makeup and the oval face and the very recognizable hood.

Ooh yours sounds a bit plausible to me. It really could be a stand in infiltrator to not spoil the Kasumi bit. Besides Kasumi had her own mission once upon a time

I'm thinking Turian, mainly because of the brooding, dominating, militaristic pose/stature. It would be nice, though, to have a female Turian in the game. Then I wouldn't have to deal with fan artists thinking that they have head fringes like the males, even though we have published proof that they don't for the time being. Bioware could always end up changing it of course.

Edit: It also kind of reminds me a little bit of the priest robes in the Evolution graphic novel. And we already know Mac Walters really loves robes.

To be fair salarians also wear hoods, and the head appears kind of bumpy, and Kasumi's doesnt.

Plus, such an elaborate getup like that doesnt seem like something Kasumi would wear. It'd be hard to sneak into anything dressed like that.

Actually, when I look at it closer, the idea that the armor is buky is an optical illusion. We're seeing her body from an angle and behind a hologram. I'd argue it's the same armor she usually wears, with the collar. You can see the outlines of her breasts and looking past the hologram you can see her smaller arms crossed as she leans back against a wall, pillar, or possibly a pylon or column in the war room, where this hologram would be, so maybe it really is Kasumi afterall.

Hey everyone, what do you think when you compare the blurry photo to this one of Kasumi?  Call it a CGI upgrade if I could really do that

The head isn't bumpy. it's the pixelization of shadows on her face.

The pose is also kind of what made me think prothean. You can almost hear it calling us primitives.

And hopefully if its a turian female, people will finally shut the hell up about them.

It almost has to be turian. Turians wear bulky upper body armor. The armor is somewhat bulky in the back as well so I'm positive its a turian.

It seems a lot like an armored version of what the Salarian councilor wears.

And I counter with this. It looks nothing like a Salarian hood. It doesn't have the horns of a Salarian. It's rounded:

I don't get why there is even a discussion about that. It's a bit more fancier robe for a Salarian female. Human, or Turian head to shoulder would be way off.

Even when I squint I dont see how you get Kasumi from the picture.

The face structure really doesnt match any alien we know, unless we're seeing from a weird angle, and really doesnt match Kasumi's.

Think of seeing Mario in 8 bits. He doesn't look like Mario in New Super Mario. That's because he's pixilated in one and high quality in another. Same thing in the Kasumi assumed photo

Look at it again, it has a definite edge left of the middle stripe.

the red mark is exactly where her tatooo would be. Factor in the pixelization of the shadows on the face and the face is a hooded, shadowed oval. The hood is practically the same except for a few stripes.

I guess the two best ways to determine what/who, is to hire a professional or just wait for the dlc lol
