I'm not sure how my youtube video about the cut "retake omega" lines from ME3 got public, but I've now got an inbox full of youtube emails ¬_¬.

Wait, wait...what?

I wouldn't say it's definitive proof of Retake Omega but...well, I really want it so I'll remain optimistic. Nice find

To be honest, I think there was originally going to be a Retake Omega thing in the main game, but they ran out of time to make a second hub world so inserted that lame mercenary groups quest...
However that doesn't mean they're not going to release it later and charge for it.

I pretty much figured that they were always planning it as DLC, I just thought they'd have released it sooner, as the first paid DLC. Between EC and Leviathan, I thought maybe it'd been put on the back burner and they may have either forgotten it or decided not to do it. Glad to hear Priestly spoke about it at SDCC, though.

Actually I think it might have been cut because of the difficulties they were having with the new reaper creatures the Adjutants. I can’t remember where I saw it mentioned, might’ve been in the final hours app, but the Adjutants were going to be able to teleport around the map but apparently it broke the physics engine. I imagine they cut the Omega quest until they could figure out a way around that issue.

Too quiet on the WNT official thread. Could someone go over there to start up debate or discussion? If anything check it out....

I remember reading that, too. Seems it wouldn't be that much different than what the Banshees do (or even some of the new Earth characters), but the coding may be vastly different. Or they teleport in a different way.

Waking Nightmare Theory eh? Wasn't that originally one of our Indoctrination Theory variances...? Maybe that was just me. Always thought the big variances were Hallucination, Dream/Nightmare, Waking Nightmare caused by resisting indoctrination.

Could also be caused by Near-Death experience (Harbinger's death beam).

Haven't checked BSN for over a week and there is a part III of this thread and Leviathan dlc is announced. These are interesting times we live in.

Did anything noteworthy happen in the last week or so?

NDEs are generally related as either magical pain-free "Ascension" stories or as "Trips to Hell". There are some very bizarre ones, certainly, but I don't think I've ever heard of one like Shepard's. Admittedly, though- as I pointed out yesterday morning- psychics do claim that some people, when killed very suddenly and that are under a great burden, never quite realize that they've passed on. I suppose that this could happen on a NDE or unconscious level...

Just some speculation about the Easter Eggs in Firebase Vancouver. I think that's about it...

Well, some are literally Easter Eggs. Also present is a Christmas Present, Heart-Shaped Box of Chocolate, and a few other holiday items, all tucked away in the lab areas. Pretty much every major N. American holiday is covered right up through early spring.

Haha nice. I haven't played it much, and only on Gold, but I'll have to look for that next time ^_^

How do you guys view the possibilities for the "You have come too far" line? Obviously, I mean besides the literal interpretation.

Can't help but notice the SMG featured in the firefight screen shot looks of bloodpack origin. Maybe the fabled new enemy for MP, the mercs? AND Leviathan?! Seemingly reaper voices at the end?!?

I also wanted to mention that I think the "new areas of the Citadel" feature may potentially be the most important part of this DLC, depending on when in the game they are accessible ;)

"You have come too far ---" and now you must die.
Or
"You have come  too far ---" to fail now, you must stop the Reapers.

Random guesses. As it is we won't know a thing for certain until we play it.

*snip*

More than likely the Blood Pack "donates" the weapon to Allied Forces once they fall in behind Aria and the rest of the Mercs. I'm more interested in that silver weapon in the Rifle spot on Shepards back, looks like a collapsible BFG of some breed. And looks like the Reegar Carbine in the shotgun spot, good stuff.

I thought that, too, but unfortunately I think it's probably just going to be an addition to it as a Hub World, since a common complaint was there weren't enough of them. I don't know, we'll see. It definitely has potential.

Yeah, i'm hoping it means access to the inaccessible core of the citadel (where the keepers come from). But it probably won't. :(

Honestly anything to do with Keeper origins and stuff would probably be a separate DLC
