When the omega picture first emerged on this thread it ws about the first thing i had to say about it "it's kasumi..look on the lines on the hood, similar to kasumi's". But now that i think about it it, it's only the hood, isn't it? And for all i know, n7 furys also have the same gear as kasumi. By now i really doubt it's her.
Do N7 furies have the same hood?
yes but not the accessory design in the picture that matches the sides of Kasumi's hood:
The outfit itself is Kasumi's though.

yeah I was reading that. You can't discuss new ideas on this forum because people will just dogpile you without listening to your argument sometimes.

see the leather wrapped around a ring in the center of the chest? the leather armor plates that go all the way down to the lower abdomen? It's the same.

Considering it's missing the pictures for the actually announced Turian Havok Soldier and Ghost Infiltrator, I'd take it with a grain of salt. It also seems to be missing the Quarian picture that's in the text list, completing the supposed 16, though I believe Bioware also said that they will be added over time.TJBartlemus wrote...
You guys seen this yet? New volus characters...really BioWare. <_<

What we really need is for someone to look into the files themselves. Anyone know where the best place to start? I'm up for it.
I'm also up for Platinum most of the day, though I've only done it on one map so far (Glacier).
Though, seriously? Volus?<_< I sure hope it's a cover. 'Cause if it's true, I'm going to be doing a lot of trolling on public matches.

I'd like to think so - the way Volus have been portrayed in the game up to now, it would look a bit ridiculous to see them waddling about in MP.
If it's for real, I could live with it provided that when a Volus got its suit punctured it flew around the map like a deflating balloon as the suit depressurised.

I took it as a transmission to all allied personnel. It seems like a speech Adama from Battlestar Galactica would make to raise morale and give people hope.

To play devil's advocate, there's no reason that their suits couldn't become armored, like the Quarian suits. Granted Quarians just get sick when their suit is punctured and Volus would just blow up, but still. Their suits of armor could be hard-sealed magnetically or something with back-ups.

There are bits and pieces within the lore that suggest volus are capable of bearing arms and fighting (not all that effectively). If they are going to be in MP I suspect they will be purposely handicapped characters meant to be played by people who want the challange.

I've heard that argument before, but I believe they could actually use that to improve Javik's character. Who is Javik? He's the Shepard of the prothean cycle. It would be only fitting to have him in charge of whatever protheans they find no? I think that would add to him. Plus, I think it's actually less cheesy to find more cryo-stasis pods intact that just 1.GethPrimeMKII wrote...

EDIT: I'd rather see synthesis proven to be a legitimate possibility that see playable protheans.
From a pure gameplay perspective however, protheans make more sense than volus for MP. Volus would not really work in cover, and they would most likely have to create an entirely new skeleton mesh thing. I think it would be a bit of a joke too. We also have every other squadmate race as a playable character in MP, except protheans.
More speculation: BW seems to be adding/spreading around some of the previously unique or rare powers from DLCs. The new batarian brawler vanguard has Lash, the new drell has Homing Grenades, etc. Protheans would be a great and obvious way to spread around Dark Channel. Oh, and they need to add Slam to MP. Who has slam? Javik has Slam.
