And literalists keep making threads about how they don't understand how Reapers like Harbinger can have a personality, when the catalyst says the Reapers are just following their programming.

I've heard that argument before, but I believe they could actually use that to improve Javik's character. Who is Javik? He's the Shepard of the prothean cycle. It would be only fitting to have him in charge of whatever protheans they find no? I think that would add to him. Plus, I think it's actually less cheesy to find more cryo-stasis pods intact that just 1.GethPrimeMKII wrote...

I agree. In fact, I think it's a cover for playable Protheans. We'll know for sure tuesday, but protheans make way more sense. Also, WTF your signature?GethPrimeMKII wrote...
Part of me thinks Volus in MP is just a hoax. Anyone agree?I would rather playable volus or elcor over something that invalidates Javik as a character.
EDIT: I'd rather see synthesis proven to be a legitimate possibility that see playable protheans.
From a pure gameplay perspective however, protheans make more sense than volus for MP. Volus would not really work in cover, and they would most likely have to create an entirely new skeleton mesh thing. I think it would be a bit of a joke too. We also have every other squadmate race as a playable character in MP, except protheans.
More speculation: BW seems to be adding/spreading around some of the previously unique or rare powers from DLCs. The new batarian brawler vanguard has Lash, the new drell has Homing Grenades, etc. Protheans would be a great and obvious way to spread around Dark Channel. Oh, and they need to add Slam to MP. Who has slam? Javik has Slam.

The Vanguards in the pic are Volus and Batarian. Speaking of which, the trailer deduction matches this list on 3 out of 4 accounts: the trailer shows what some have deduced from power use that the Krogan is an Adept, the Batarian a Vanguard, and the Asari a Sentinel. Based off of that we're left with the one that doesn't match: the Drell. Based of the trailer, it should be an Engineer, not an Infiltrator. The Geth seemed normal, but it could've been the Soldier.
Works either way. Homing Grenades are tech, and suit the precision of an Infiltrator. Drell makes way more sense as an Infiltrator than an Engineer too. Also, Turian Saboteur Engineer. Which biotic power did the asari use?Either.Ardrey wrote...

6 new characters could be seen in the trailer, three used biotic powers, and the Drell wasn't one of them. If the the list isn't entirely true and it follows the classic format, at least somewhat, then they'd release them up to 6 at a time, completing all 6 classes before repeating classes. At least that's my reasoning, that even if they do this as a staggered release, they'd still do it in order as best possible.AresKeith wrote...

I'm not against adding Volus to the MP, but 4 is a little too much. And they would be the offical reason for why BW used the same outfits for the other new characters.
@Either the Drell could also be another Sentinel

The leader of the enemy lying? Surely this has never happened before. I mean why would your enemy lie? Further why would a constuct responsible for the death of trillions think your death is nothing. Yes, it's absurd to think your enemy would ever lie. It's just bonkers. I mean we can trust these guys right? The Reapers are totally legit bros. They've never lied or decieved anyone. It's just not in their nature.
No sorry, theCatalyst is suspect because he speaks as the consciousness of the Reapers and the Reapers are monsters. No matter how you look at it, they've needlessly and cruely murdered trillions of sapient beings, destroyed their civilizations, and preserved them as flesh-jam in a robotic starship body. But they would never lie, no not these guys. They're too moral to do that.

For any of you who have me on 360, I'll be farming FWGG today.
Or you can try and get me to tag along in a platinum match, but we'll need a few really elite players for that. I'm still rusty because I just renewed my gold subscription after a few months without.
I'd run with you but i don't have many high level classes yet. The highest level class I have is an N7 demolisher. I'm way behind. I don't even have a Batarian or a Vorcha yet.

" The Reapers will show us no mercy. We must give them no quarter. They will terrorize our populations. we must stand fast in the face of that terror. They will advance until our last city falls, but we will fail. We will prevail. Each of us will be defined by our actions in the coming battle. Stand fast. Stand strong. Stand together. Hackett out."
One Hackett tells everyone, including Shepard/us that we can show them no mercy, and kill them all.
Two Hackett is remind Shepard, and the player, that the Reapers will harvest/kill every advanced race, and will not stop until the last city fails.
Three foreshadowing at the end, when Hackett says " Each of us will be defined by our actions in the coming battle.' The end is our actions/ Shepard's, and the endings we pick is defining us, and the Reapers.

There can be Asari Infiltrators, as long as they don't train or use their Biotic abilities. Otherwise it would break the definition of Infiltrator as a Combat/Tech hybrid.
