Nothing about the literal ending makes the slightest sense. It's disheartening and unnerving to see how hard people defend synthesis. They can't even muster up any arguments besides I love it because I saved the universe and nuh-uh IT isnt true.

I am on their thread right now.

I don't want you hanging around with those literalists. They're a bad influence. Next thing I know you'll be messing up the front lawn controlling Reapers everywhere or trying to synthesise me with my toaster and I'm not having that.

There's something I don't quite get about IT. Or rather, its fanbase.

It's fine that you enjoy your own theories, of course. But you seem to want to actively prove anyone who chose a different ending from you wrong, and ensure that their entire game has been screwed up. Is that really productive or helpful?

Are you actually capable of reading anything you're in ideological disagreement with?

I don't think that's an accurate description of all ITers. If there was someone who was doing that I'd say it's because you guys are wrong. Personally, I couldn't care less about proving you guys wrong, but you're wrong and IT is right there's no in between. So that's the way I feel about it, I don't think there's any need for a "everything is a valid interperetation" anyone who believes in the literal ending is just wrong.

If pointing out the themes of mass effect is wrong....

Anyways, that was an ITDLC thread that got derailed by people who hate IT. Productive...

I'm a very open minded person. You don't know a damn thing about me. Get over yourself and find a synthesis thread to play in.

So your hypothesis here is that Bioware will definitely release an ending canonizing IT, yes?

Oh no, opinions!

Look, I don't go in synthesis threads starting crap. But if I'm in a thread dedicated to IT DLC that gets bombarded with "derp derp IT sucks" then yeah, I'm going to point out how deluded and oblivious they are to both Mass Effect and real life.

I don't need you to like me or agree with me. I find you annoying and would rather never see another one of your posts again. That is all

What do you think would happen if you went on another forum and espoused your desire to forcibly transhumanize the planet so people will stop fighting eachother and get along?

I doubt it would go down as well as discussing the atom bomb drops in WWII or even the merits of totalitatiranism...

Blame masster blaster for starting that one.

All I'm asking here is your hypothesis. I'm assuming that it's that Bioware will release IT DLC that canonizes Destroy as the only valid ending. Is this correct?

I accept your opinion and respectfully disagree with it.

Is it so hard to do the same?

Validation may or may not come in the form of a DLC.  It is our HOPE that it comes in a DLC or Dragon Age: Awakening style expansion.  It may yet come in the form of Mass Effect 4 or 5 or a writer's admission.

Or it may not come at all.

So what would your plan be if IT is never validated at all, and is thus discredited by the rest of the ME series?

I have yet to see discreditment and will drop the IT if I ever do.

Obviously, if years start going by I'll have moved on to another game.  I will still likely believe the IT, though.

Not at all in order to keep with the open story they would have to make shepard wake up.....but I'm strongly against Synthesis because even realisticly it makes absolutely no since and near impossible to just alter everyone's genetic make-up and make them part synthetic.

The point of the ME universe is that a large part of it is feasible in our galaxy and not just space magic cough**

As someone stated earlier:
Bioware had this idea to trick the players and see what happens. What they got is real-life indoctrination of a considerable part of the community which is refusing to take into account any advise from those who have a different opinion. They believe that what they did was the salvation to the galaxy (Synthesis supporters) or that under their rule as Harpard (Control supporters) the galaxy will find itself in a new golden era.
Especially frightening is Savial(?). IF Control would have to be taken literally, imagine the freedom you'd have in such a galaxy with him embodying the collective will of the reapers. Everyone disagreeing with him on some interpretation of the game Galaxy of Fantasy would be turned into a husk.
