Well Spot I never have gone to the Synthesis thread, until today, and to me it was worth it. It's funny though I didn't feel no sorry for them, nor anything. It felt like I was puching blow after blow, and they only could come up with the same arguments we saw on here.

I know mb, but going in their homebase is inviting them to ours.

Yes I even told them not to come to the IT thread. It was between me, and them alone, but you know how it is. They wanted to go to our thread, and do what I was doing. I could have done more damage, but I told myself to stop.

Spot if you want you should go see what I did. You don't have to, but ya.....

Apparently some think that the volus characters may be a placeholder:

Seems unlikely to me, but the Omega DLC has a lot more mystique around it than Leviathan (largely because they learned their lessons from us leaking large parts of the script of Leviathan on here in advance...)

Also, because they couldn't really do much in the way of twists in Leviathan. You were going something powerful enough to kill a Reaper, whether it was a rogue Reaper or what it turned out to be wouldn't hav made much difference, you find exactly what you were looking for.

With Omega, do you really think they'd have a DLC that was just about killing Cerberus people in Omega so Aria can have it back? If that was it, that wouldn't really be DLC worthy.

The premise is so weak there pretty much has to be a twist, a real twist. Even more than that, look at all the possible twists/subjects to cover:

-Omega was designed/built by the Reapers
-Why does Cerberus want it?
-Omega-4 relay is nearby, and thus, Collector base remains
-Collectors confirmed, why are they there?
-Totally unforseen twists as a result of any of the above
-Totally unforseen twists as a result of totally unforseen other things

Sorta funny cause I made a similar comment on Leviathan before it came out. The only twist in Leviathan was that there were still Leviathans all these years and "confirmation" that the end was created out of Shepard's memories. Both things we knew already and I was waiting for some big twist that never came... :crying:

I have much higher hopes for Omega though. With the return of the Collectors in MP it is certain they (possibly Harbinger or at least VO) will make an appearance in the DLC. Also add the possibility of Omega (hint from a ME book) is of Reaper origin...it should be pretty big.

I have a few guesses for the Omega DLC. I think that Omega might be a factory of some kind. Why else have a facility (that was used for mining) on / inside an asteroid. It might possibly be able to clone collectors (cause all collectors are confirmed in ME2 to be clones of original prothean husks) or even be a secondary reaper factory. To support this idea it is also confirmed from the book that each race / cycle has added to Omega and lived in it. This makes killing / collecting for huskifying easier.

There is also the possibility that there is some type of device or that Omega was a Prothean Crucible. Who knows....

I'm really sorry mb. If it was anywhere but the synthesis thread I'd consider it....but I can't take any more of that level of crazy. I know I'll just end up wanting to vomit/scream/cry all at once

Also, does anyone know, from the final hours app, if they ever say how late in development they were considering thatindoctrination fgame mechanic?

I believe it was sometime near when they had to delay the game for like 5-6 months. November I think...

Well A part of me wants to go back there Spot, but I keep telling myself they will just come here. Well I did leave the Top Ten backbones of IT over there at their thread, and I think that should have done a good portion of damage.

The big twist in the Leviathan dlc was speaking to the Leviathan, and it's probably the most memorable part. Or that's what I think, at least.

Edit: And I missed that you mentioned that.

Look at the codex description for Omega:

Built in the mined-out husk of a metallic asteroid, Omega has been a haven for criminals, terrorists, and malcontents for thousands of years. At times the station has lain idle and abandoned for centuries, only to be reactivated by a new group of outlaws seeking a fresh start. The space station's original elegant design has given way to haphazard expansion by scrabbling factions of every species. There is no central government or unifying authority on Omega, and nobody can recall a time there ever was one.

It could be a very old version of the Crucible?

Could also be when they started on ME 3 part 2?  Particularly if the intention really is to do a part 1 and 2 when they originally had a complete game but was just too expansive to keep making paid dlcs at a prohibitive price point.  They may have had to rewrite how some of the game played out hence to 5-6 month delay

Hmmm....just went back to the supposed "fake" DLC schedual. Well so far it actually has turned out to be correct....

http://pastebin.com/X7PP8Xgg

Well knowing that it got the name of the Retaliation MP DLC name correct, and it wasn't made up we at least have to give it a second chance.

Well if it's November and they finished in February, then only 4 months prior to launch indoctrination was their proven narrative intention. How likely is it that they completely changed course that close to going gold?

Hey. It got the MP DLC name correct. We got to at least recognize that it might be legit.

How many months was it in production total? Find that out and put 4 on top of the total like a fraction and there is your probability.

" For this reason, BioWare was able to begin production on Mass Effect 3 before Mass Effect 2 was even released."- wikipedia

So since at the latest January 2010 me3 has been in production. Two years in production and I'm supposed to believe they completely changed course from indoctrination 4 months before launch?

So 4/27 probablility that they changed the main idea / theme. Yeah...right. <_< If you want it in percent...that would be a 14.81 % chance.

How much do you want to bet that when we were all complaining about changing the ending and BioWare announced the EC and bringing people back for that, they were actually bringing people in for the ME part 2 because they already finished the EC just before the game released and was just brilliantly withholding it to end up with what we've all been discussing is or is not shepard dead.  Is or is not shepard indoctrinated?
