On the note of the Extended Cut music tracks; I figured out why Synthesis's music just feels wrong, like there's something almost hated about it.

In Mass Effect 1, everytime you died it played Saren's theme. Over the course of the game you would be conditioned to hate this music, and so, everytime Saren shows up and it plays, you automatically hate him. Great player manipulation there.

In Mass Effect 2, there were two different tracks that played in the Galaxy Map: one was the normal one, and the other played while you were scanning planets. Not just looking at one, only when you're scanning. Planet Scanning was easily the most hated thing in ME2.

The Synthesis theme is based on the Planet Scanning theme!

That's my opinion arguing. Taking a break sounds like a good idea, MB. That's what I do when my thoughts get a little too "hot."

That is creepy and your ideas about player manipulation between mission failure and animosity towards Saren is pretty sweet!

Yeah, that orb in Shep's cabin kind of went nowhere. I doubt Hellish's "truth" is true though.

That is very cool, is this a coincidence, or is Bioware hinting at something. (I'll take your word on it because I don't want anything to do with synthesis or control (I haven't even seen the full synthesis or control endings because I actively hate them)).

Speaking of soundtrack, I was listening to the Extended Cut songs and found curious that the destroy ending epilogue follows the same structure?(don't know how to explain it) with the memorial wall one.
I you listen to them one after another it seems like a part of the same song, versus Control and Synthesis being all techno stuff (they seem out of place).

This struck me too. Try playing them in sequence without breaks... it's pretty clear which one is "right".

Also, if someone tells me the control theme spells "happy ending" I will laugh directly at their face until I keel over and die from lack of oxygen.

Hello! :) Oh, and about the synthesis EDI thing: I thought it was pretty funny, because at first I was like you, thinking it may be a bad things, then I realized it was quite fittingly a joke. "Methemagician". So, even Bioware understands that synthesis is space magic. Posted Image

Good news for us actually.

Edit: Ninja'd

well it could be that BioWare did this because they saw how dense everyone is. I bet there's going to be a thread on the vindication of synthesis because someone either is too literal or they just can't grasp the hidden meaning

Haha everyone saw Methemagician [smilie]http://social.bioware.com/images/forum/emoticons/wizard.png[/smilie]

Agreed.  But I think that Hellish is right to point it out...there's more going on there that we haven't figured out.  And this is why I still have hope that regardless of how much we have figured out (or at least think that we have figured out), they way it is all revealed in the end will be at least a small surprise.

Edit:  It has been too long to go without this...

Lord I yelled at you because I was having a conversation with you. You called me a child, a troll, and I was making logical sense, but always dis regaurd what other people have to say. Not once did I talk about IT, and I was particaparting on why Destroy is not Genocied.

But no when ever a person speaks against Synthesis you cast them aside. I mean read some of the post you make to. Your no better than me Lord.

You didn't make logical sense, you spewed a bunch of opinions at me and expected me to take them as fact while calling me a coward and accusing me of bowing down to the reapers amongst other things.

When I argue, I provide my reasoning and attempt to display my points in a courteous and logical manner.  You made it clear you wouldn't pay attention to such attempts at civilized discourse.  When I did, you attempted to mock me.

So yes, I called you a child.

I mentioned all the stuff below back around 1220's. I asked if where Shepard was was standing outside between the connection of the crucible and citadel. Though I didn't think it was in a vacuum. I figured there was a glass dome or something

In a VACUUM.

Where is Shepard? In space.

The amount of foreshadowing in this quote in unbelievable, especially considering who said it...

That's just it Lord, why else don't people pick Destroy.

" Oh because if I kill EDI, and the geht that's bad" It's war. People die in war, and I hate it that people us that as an excuess. I mean we killed thousands of people all tp protect the galaxy, and most of them were Indoctrinated. People that were once respected people turned into the Reapers slaves/ puppets.

You said Legions supports Synthesis, and I was angry because he never did. Comparing him wanting the code for his people, and him dying for his people does not even compare what Shepard does in Synthesis.

I mean you asked me why EDI, and the Geth would be okay with dying and I told you in the past, that the Geth were willing to die for their creators, and EDI was willing to fight to the Death to end the Reapers.

I also called you a coward because you can't do it because the Catalyst says so. I mean did that ever stop you from leaving the Citadel in ME1, when the Normandy was grounded. No

I told you that what would Anderson say, or if any of your squad memebers say if they were there at the end of the game. They would say " Kill the Reapers." Some of the Synthesis supporters said that Hackett, Anderson, and all the people you meet and aided Shepard were wrong, and their opions don't matter, which they do.
