In Mass Effect 1, everytime you died it played Saren's theme. Over the course of the game you would be conditioned to hate this music, and so, everytime Saren shows up and it plays, you automatically hate him. Great player manipulation there.
In Mass Effect 2, there were two different tracks that played in the Galaxy Map: one was the normal one, and the other played while you were scanning planets. Not just looking at one, only when you're scanning. Planet Scanning was easily the most hated thing in ME2.
The Synthesis theme is based on the Planet Scanning theme!

That is very cool, is this a coincidence, or is Bioware hinting at something. (I'll take your word on it because I don't want anything to do with synthesis or control (I haven't even seen the full synthesis or control endings because I actively hate them)).BleedingUranium wrote...

Speaking of soundtrack, I was listening to the Extended Cut songs and found curious that the destroy ending epilogue follows the same structure?(don't know how to explain it) with the memorial wall one.
I you listen to them one after another it seems like a part of the same song, versus Control and Synthesis being all techno stuff (they seem out of place).
Also, if someone tells me the control theme spells "happy ending" I will laugh directly at their face until I keel over and die from lack of oxygen.
I think they arrested one of those in an industrial estate near me recently...NebuchadnezzaRT wrote...

Hello!Oh, and about the synthesis EDI thing: I thought it was pretty funny, because at first I was like you, thinking it may be a bad things, then I realized it was quite fittingly a joke. "Methemagician". So, even Bioware understands that synthesis is space magic.
Good news for us actually.
Edit: Ninja'd
well it could be that BioWare did this because they saw how dense everyone is. I bet there's going to be a thread on the vindication of synthesis because someone either is too literal or they just can't grasp the hidden meaning

Agreed. But I think that Hellish is right to point it out...there's more going on there that we haven't figured out. And this is why I still have hope that regardless of how much we have figured out (or at least think that we have figured out), they way it is all revealed in the end will be at least a small surprise.
Edit: It has been too long to go without this...

" Oh because if I kill EDI, and the geht that's bad" It's war. People die in war, and I hate it that people us that as an excuess. I mean we killed thousands of people all tp protect the galaxy, and most of them were Indoctrinated. People that were once respected people turned into the Reapers slaves/ puppets.
You said Legions supports Synthesis, and I was angry because he never did. Comparing him wanting the code for his people, and him dying for his people does not even compare what Shepard does in Synthesis.
I mean you asked me why EDI, and the Geth would be okay with dying and I told you in the past, that the Geth were willing to die for their creators, and EDI was willing to fight to the Death to end the Reapers.
I also called you a coward because you can't do it because the Catalyst says so. I mean did that ever stop you from leaving the Citadel in ME1, when the Normandy was grounded. No
I told you that what would Anderson say, or if any of your squad memebers say if they were there at the end of the game. They would say " Kill the Reapers." Some of the Synthesis supporters said that Hackett, Anderson, and all the people you meet and aided Shepard were wrong, and their opions don't matter, which they do.
