Don't even. We have gone over the end so many times, if we haven't found something there yet it is unlikely we are by speculating. What we need to do is analyse everything else. Mainly the end of ME2 and most of ME3. Otherwise all we can do is be off topic or wait until Hellish posts his CW video, the IT evidence paper is posted, my WNT video is posted or any other project I'm not aware of is posted. Too much waiting is what I say. I need proof NOW. Sadly this is unlikely going to happen any time soon.

Last time I checked Mr. Smarty it was me who suggested that the starkid was in a "dream halo" when Shepard saw him on Earth.... yes an Otter caught that when no one did... this otter can catch new things.

Yes it's from that episode. Awesome pic too. They should have totally given him one, but Halo 3's engine is much better for RVB so I'm pretty happy. Halo 4 has a jetpack though so...

So towards the end of the last thread, someone was asking why Harbinger ignores the Normandy.  My guess is that Harbinger is counting on Shepard becoming indoctrinated.  It knows that the Normandy crew is absolutely devoted to Shepard and, if Shepard were stranded somewhere, they would definitely go the extra mile to retrieve him/her.  In this way, an indoctrinated Shepard would definitely be retrieved and taken back to the Aliiance command structure, where s/he can be of use to the Reapers

Except Harby lases Shepard. Unless he "set it to stun" I doubt this theory. Sorry.

Considering the fact that you can just wait and let endless numbers of soldiers run and get blasted by pinpoint laser bursts by Harby, the fact that he didnt disentegrate Shep with a pinpoint blast means he pretty much did  set it to stun

You're right too Byne. I know I wansn't the only one who noticed that Harby owned everything around Shepard with pinpoint accuracy but repeatedly misses Shep.

Edit: Though I won't count the standing around and letting marines die as evidence for anything though. You're supposed to run down the hill.

It remembered me of Archangel recruit mission in ME2. He shots at you if you're in the open, but only dropping your shields with stun shots, and he admits that when you reach him. The rest of the mercs that stand in the open are killed to the last.

Not that I am aware of, but such does exist AFTER he vanishes.

Judging by both the silhouette and voice over, the StarChild is the kid present with the alien adult/human grandfather in all of the "one more story" ending scenes.

That child is the one plot device which spans the entire game, and has come to symbolize the Reapers.

actually the IT'ers have a point that Shep was indoctrinated before he was aboard the citadel. It's the only way the catalyst can communicate with organic life. All the dream scenes were the symptoms of indoctrination, as Sheps mind became accustomed to the wavelength, of sorts, of this channel. Very over powering, could even destroy Sheps sanity. The fact that Shep underwent trauma every time he encountered a form of reaper strong enough to emmit that signal,almost put Shep in the throws of indoctrination.

But something is different about Shepard, for some reason he can withstand it, barely, and able to communicate directly with the catalyst during their meeting. It always bugged me that these visions were always confused in Shepards mind, from the first beacon encounter to the time he was wisked up to the citadel. Who prepped Shepard for that. Getting strafed by a reaper molten metal beam isn't bad enough, to being removed from your body and end up where they take organics to get harvested,without getting reduced to random atoms is a strange thing.

Shep had to be in some sort of trancelike state on the ground, his intellect taken up that beam(kind of like when they harvest the DNA and memories) to talk it over and decide.In a sense, Shepard was indoctrinated, but only enough to be in state capable of surviving direct contact with the catalyst computer AI, who appears to be just memory of Shepards dream state. It's understandable that the IT folks feels that the whole thing is a sham and trap. The only hole there is that if the catalyst wished to just 'take over' Shep, why not use direct control? Cause it said that the IM wasn't able to control cause he was truely indoctrinated. Like Saren, unable to resist and keep their independent 'self' as it were.

Not that I am aware of, but such does exist AFTER he vanishes.

The most obvious clues come from the vent scene and the evac scene. 

In the evac scene the child disapeers inside the vent without a sound. Shepard is left staring into the vent with a puzzled look while a mysterious reaper growl is heard. The reaper growl signifies indoctrination. Anderson also doesn't hear the child while clearly being close enough to have heard something.

In the evac scene soldiers are aiding civilians into the shuttle. It is emphasised by their actions that everyone, able boddied or not, is being helped aboard the shuttle. Yet nobody stops to help this child. In fact nobody can even seems to notice the child.

Maybe harbinger is missing that first leg because he was the first made reaper.

As in he was a prototype,then the form of a reaper was improved.

Or he might of lost that leg somehow,because you can see the gap where the leg should be.

It's not that the literal interpretator think so. Just that it makes sense when you consider rebellion as opposition.
