I'm not the one to act clever..but i'm also not one to give in to the threads very own..always in a bad mood badger. Don't get me wrong rif, no hostility towards you. But you've been raging about the volus the past two days (i think) AS IF it was the end of the world for you...you won't change anything. Yeah, the constant b*tching does get tiresome. But then so does blaster's (childish? enthusiastic?) crusades, insane literalist invasions and OT trains. All of this not having much to do with IT. It is what it is, ITer's home away from home, and every home has a disfunctional family in it. It's not always a bad thing though...

On Topic: If Refuse were different (not the middle finger we seem to have gotten), would that have been a valid choice to throw off the indoctranation attempt?

Sheesh, what's with all the Vol Clan hate? As far as I've been able to tell based on what I've seen, they're fine. And if the Quarians can fight, then the Volus can fight. All it takes is a custom modded suit of armor.

Well, from the point of view of the lore, I don't see WHY the Volus couldn't fight.  I mean, it says that they rely of the the Turians for protection, not that they can't fight at all.  And they have one of the most powerful dreadnoughts in existance.  And like I said, I know they wear suits for a different reason from the Quarians, but I still don't see why, if the Quarians can fight, they can't fight.  And from a gameplay perspective, they're quite effective.

The lore actually says that they can fight, just that they aren't very good at it.  Remember, client races of the turians still serve time in auxillary roles supporting the main military before they get full citizenship.  So, while the volus may have arranged a special deal of some kind, I am sure that some of them still served as support soldiers.  And that is exactly what they are in MP: a support class.   We may play as elite strike teams but, out of an entire species, some volus HAVE to be good enough to qualify as an elite support soldier.

Besides, the galaxy is fighting for its very survival.  If it meant saving your species as well as everyone else, if you fighting would help the cause the most, even if you are a terrible combatant, wouldn't you volunteer?

I'm with you, Dwailing.  All of this volus hate really baffles me but I'd give it a week or two before it all blows over and the volus are accepted...people will actually learn how they should be played by then

I say we do this because for the one's that just played and only played ME3. They don't know what happened in ME2, or ME1 if they didn't have comic that let's themchoose, yet they only get a small portion of the game when they just choose the major chocies in the comic book.

Think about it, they can't even finish a sentence without taking a deep breath, and all of a sudden they are world class athletes, is all i am saying. But as mentioned before, i am not offnded or anything by the inclusion of the volus, i'm just saying i will not play as one.

The constent one, then I hope Bioware mp creators make Elcor, and Hanar troops since they had to bring volus out in MP. On that note I want my elcor tank, and they should bring specters to MP, since they brought N7 opratives, Justicars, battlemasters, and so on.

Right.  Morbidly obese midgets who move at the speed of a gimp tortoise and blow up at the slightest suit puncture are totally fine for the most high risk strike op missions possible because the codex mentions auxillary troops and that couldn't possibly mean they're behind the front lines doing something they're actually capable of.

I mean it isn't like SP is going to get any better lol. The most we can hope for is more pre ending DLC to 'expand' the story of Commander Shepard and possibly provide more 'hints' at a sequel or the state of the galaxy post RGB.

Badger I see your point, yet the others are right. FFZero came up with a good idea, but most of these people that play MP are spraging every where, and runnging up to Banshees on Gold as volus. I am sorry FFZero but Volus can be killed in almost on or two shot if you play on Platinum, and Gold.

But since Bioware gave the fans Volus for mp, then they better do two thing.

Elcor tanks, Hanar, and Specters for MP. Giving the fans what they want.

Last IT giving the fans what they want. Literalist have their ending, while we have ours. It's a win win.
