Very funny plfranke, I wouldn't be a TIM, more like Grunt. Since Grunt is my avatar, and sometimes I think like a Krogan, yet I think like a shamen.

You are like Merrill from Dragon Age 2, in krogan test-tube-child form, with associated traits: unhumanly naive, simultaneously belligerent and friendly and completely oblivious to your own being arms deep in evil.

I am not convinced you are not a role-played character, actually. You are just too...too... That's it; You're just too -- more like a charicature of a kid than an actual one.

I may be blunt here, but I really bear no hostility.

So volus is a premium char then.

Yup. Ultra Rare.

Now I hate Volus too. I was actually indifferent, but yesterday I got the Volus adept. And my only wish is to get a couple of Asari adepts.
The character unlocking system is really stupid, unfair, counterproductive and frustrating. Random draw is OK with all weapons, consumables and gear. This is only about what you HAVE, and all the gear does not make the game. With low level gear you may not be able to go for platinum or gold, but you still can go for bronze and have fun.
The characters are entirely different story, since it is about what you ARE. And the current random system is not politically correct and fascistic even, since actually it says YOU CAN NOT BE WHAT YOU WANT. Now I have almost complete set of characters, some of them in full colors. And still I can not unlock the ones which I wanted from the very beginning.
****, this ME is RPG after all – while not let me chose the character? OK, why not let me at least UNLOCK a wanted character after a 100 or 200 or 300 or 400 missions? Since now I am really desperate – the developers keep adding new unwanted (for me) characters and broken weapons (collector SMG anyone?) and my chances to unlock WANTED character only decreases.
It is not fun any longer, and I am really tempted to change for other game, where I can really chose what character to play.

Looks like Omega is getting released on November 27th, and it will cost 1200MSP or 15$.

Link to interview with Mike: www.youtube.com/watch

Shame it ruins the 9 week theory.

So you get to play with Aria and a Turian female. No mention of the collectors though, but that was not a serious interview. Like Gwyphon said

So, someone on the ME reddit posted this piece of concept art I remember seeing from before release:

http://i.imgur.com/6mPPA.jpg

And I'm thinking, what the hell happened to it? Seriously, it's obviously Earth in the background and a scene like that would have been so hauntingly beautiful. So where'd it go?

Also, with IT , do you think we'd get to be able to see scene like that?

I am officially intrigued. Although I'm not sure how it can be "twice the size" of any previous ME3 dlc as the Extended Cut was 1.9 Gb and already right at the limit of what XBox live will allow.

Conversations that will never take place:

BW: "So, microsoft, we've got this DLC here which is guaranteed to sell an absolutely enormous number of copies and make you millions of dollars in commission."
MS: "Oh great"
BW: "Now, unfortunately it's over 1.9GB - is that going to be a problem?"
MS: "Sorry, rules are rules, we don't want your money."

I mean, really? Does anyone think that it'll actually be a problem?

Maybe that's what they meant with that other update that was supposed to prepare us for future DLC?

Well, i'm up for it. But this better be good. I can't stand another downer, then they'll lose me.

^_^ Yeah Microsoft didn't get where they are today by turning down money.

It does seem a very arbitrary and small limit in the age of dsl though. Anyone know why that is? Fortunately being a PC and PS3 gamer it's not such a problem for me [/smug mode]

Same here. I've not even downloaded Leviathan yet.

But if they pull off an epic IT reveal (with a decent happy ending for heaven's sake), I'm planning to reward Bioware by splashing out on the trilogy pack and all the DLC for the PS3. Then I can play the whole epic saga on my big TV without becoming a martyr to mouse inflicted carpal tunnel syndrome.

Does anyone else think that the Omega release date is... uh, further away than expected?

I mean, the 27th of november? I was under the impression this thing had been in QA for weeks...

He did say it's much bigger than Leviathan. Costs more too. Or maybe they're waiting until I finish university finals, which is awful kind of them

I think the size restriction is for total size of the package. Once unpacked it could very well be twice as big. MS only cares about the size of the file before its installed.

I think...

It's a bit later than expected but they never gave anything to hint at October. Retaliation just came out and unlike MP DLCs in the past, it is bringing a lot of new ideas to the table, the whole Challenge system is meant to keep things going for quite some time. They probably don't want to detract from what is almost a "reboot" of the MP side of the game.

The $15 price-tag has me excited, Omega is starting to sound more and more like an expansion as opposed to a traditional DLC. It's certainly going to be more than "Retake Omega" for Aria's benefit. There's the potential  of Collectors and Harbinger as well as more Cerberus, maybe the adjutants, maybe something else we haven't even guessed yet that will start giving more shape to clues we've seen already. There's certainly more to it than we initially thought or that Invasion leads us to suspect.

They could be putting the release date back to avoid clashing with the other big releases, you know Black Ops 2, Assassins Creed 3, etc. I think like last year all of the major releases are happening within a 2-3 week window, so late october to mid november.

Also the $15 price tag is interesting, and from the limited info we have, it sounds more like an expansion pack than your normal sized ME DLC.

No, not in the least. Stop grasping for straws to justify Hellish's attention whoring.

I challenge BioWare to make figures and statues that resemble as closely as possible the in-game characters. C'mon, you can do this!

It's the anime fad. Middle to upper class suburban white kids have finally stopped trying to steal the "hip-hop" culture, presumably after being scolded too many times for calling the cops in their school's DARE programs "pig" and "cracka". They've moved onto a culture famed for tentacle rape hentai instead. You can tell this targeted at these wastes of DNA because, like them, they're sticking Japanese words into otherwise English sentences. Hence "Bishoujo". What you see is the literary equivalent of synthesis. They took two perfectly fine things and combined them into one unspeakable horror that needs to die in fire.

And to answer the next question, yes. Everytime someone adds something like "-san" to an English sentence, I want to punch them until my arm stops working.

Only if he continues to play Grunt.

Grunt as the main character would be amazing.

Every conversation could have a Renegade interupt where he headbutts someone.

I would buy that game. Especially if he meets people that call him "Grunt-chan".

Why? Most games DON'T allow you pick gender. Bioware games and MMO's mostly do, but other than that... you're excluding yourself from a ton of excellent games. BRB, enjoying the hell out of Witcher.

masster blaster wrote...

What about Wrex Estebanus? Wouldn't you want to play as him, or Garrus.
I know I would. Heck I don't mind playing as Legion, or Javil, or Thane, or Mordin for male.

Female I will not go into because that will cause a flame war bigger than March 10th.

You won't go into females? Huh. I think my shuttle pilot is like that too.

What is really puzz;ing about that concept art - it is clearly 100% citadel over earth. And yet at the same time it is clearly Paris..... It is like paris is carefully overimposed on top of the citadel, just like there several images of different cities overimposed on top of one another and composed into one omage in that recent femshep wallpaper...

So you think this might be "the" Wake up DLC with post breath-scene content?

It would be great if they could wrap this up before Christmas. I'd love to be able to play what's become my favourite franchise over the holidays without the looming dread of the endings.

I was only referring to Mass Effect. I meant that a Mass Effect game without character creation would not be something I'd like to play. I don't mind about other games, though.
And yes, the witcher games are fantastic.:)

EDIT: Top!
