What is really puzz;ing about that concept art - it is clearly 100% citadel over earth. And yet at the same time it is clearly Paris..... It is like paris is carefully overimposed on top of the citadel, just like there several images of different cities overimposed on top of one another and composed into one omage in that recent femshep wallpaper...

...  I know I shouldn't, but I can't help myself...

How many seconds do you think it took Paris to surrender?

So, someone on the ME reddit posted this piece of concept art I remember seeing from before release:

And I'm thinking, what the hell happened to it? Seriously, it's obviously Earth in the background and a scene like that would have been so hauntingly beautiful. So where'd it go?

Also, with IT , do you think we'd get to be able to see scene like that?

Looking at their track record... I'd say about 25 seconds. :P

So Omega on Nov. 27 interesting now let's see if Bioware is going to do somethin on Halloween. It may not be Omega, but could be annocument, or a reval of a trailer.

This is pretty off-topic, but I'll post it anyway, because it was just so heartwarming!

I hope that BioWare will make something like this if the IT is ever confirmed in a DLC/new game.

Timing would be about right for a first trailer - maybe a shorter teaser to start with and then a longer one in a couple of weeks to keep the hype going. Or maybe they will wait until N7 day? Unless I've missed something we still don't know exactly what they're planning for that.

With the price point at £10/$15 I think we can expect something substantial, after all Leviathan was a good chunk of gameplay and story for the money. They may well use a bunch of the assets already deployed in Retaliation e.g. new Cerberus troops, collectors etc. to keep the download size low for Xbox. I think in IT terms though we can expect something Leviathan-like, where there will be no outright confirmation, but more clues for those who spend the time to look for them. I wouldn't expect any sort of reveal before March, fitting in with what BW said about a year's worth of SP DLC.

Only if you thought the Citadel part was real.  In which case, I have an absolutely lovely bridge for sale.

So we have leaders now? I'd call this a brotherhood (sisterhood?? does that even exist) where each member has equal rights. Especially, there is no commitment needed to be IT supporter and this thread does not feel like some kind of dictatorship or olgarchy, such as Sevial's little Control Fantasy World and the Different Ascension Thread.

Oh, and Volus are terrible. Every one I've met so far has been hopeless, and can't even get to the extraction point on time.

The volus I've played with were fine (and I play with PUGs). You must just be getting unlucky.

Restrifer it was a joke because byne is thread master, so that makes him leader, and most people on here agree that byne is.

Agreed Restrider. But Byne deserves kudos for being the creator of the monsteroriginator of the thread, helping organise evidence and generally keeping our speculation train a-rolling. But, yeah, we're just a bunch of people enjoying a game, not a social movement and long may that continue.

The way I see it, playing and discussing games is a thing I do in my spare time for fun (teh lulz, if you will). Some people, across the literalist, IT, pro-end, anti-end and whatever other camps take it far too seriously - look how many people take criticism of their interpretation as a personal attack on them and their values and that seems to be the root of most of the flame wars and falling out. Nothing wrong with a bit of impassioned debate and literary criticism, of course, but let's not forget to enjoy our trilogy because of it.

What, you think he'll survive even with the indoctination theory confirmed? Personally, I don't think so.

I always thought that Anderson wouldn't survive the trilogy - the mentor type of character often doesn't (eg Obi-Wan). I was actually surprised when playing ME1 for the first time that he wasn't killed helping Shepard to steal the Normandy. In a way it bothers me that his final moments in the Citadel sequence were quite touching - this would be rather cheapened if it is all a hallucination.

He'd be perfect for making a heroic sacrifice, like staying behind to save Shepard after they discover him/her in the London rubble.

It's how I reckon he'd want it really, to go out with a bang in a way that really means something. It's difficult to see Anderson retiring and fading away.

I challenge BioWare to make figures and statues that resemble as closely as possible the in-game characters. C'mon, you can do this!

It's the anime fad. Middle to upper class suburban white kids have finally stopped trying to steal the "hip-hop" culture, presumably after being scolded too many times for calling the cops in their school's DARE programs "pig" and "cracka". They've moved onto a culture famed for tentacle rape hentai instead. You can tell this targeted at these wastes of DNA because, like them, they're sticking Japanese words into otherwise English sentences. Hence "Bishoujo". What you see is the literary equivalent of synthesis. They took two perfectly fine things and combined them into one unspeakable horror that needs to die in fire.

And to answer the next question, yes. Everytime someone adds something like "-san" to an English sentence, I want to punch them until my arm stops working.

I don't mind those anime statues. They have value of their own. But there should be a choice of high-fidelity ones too.

Byne is our "unofficial"  leader. He started the threads so everyone kind of looks to him for things sometimes.

So long as we got another epic Anderson conversation I see no reason why he needs to die. Breaking the mold and not having the mentor fatherfigure die would be good.

If anything, I find the way he was killed in the hallucination to be extremely cheap and infuriating. He died for nothing, being shot by Shepard! It can't end that way!

Honey Badger's going to rip your face off. Right after he's done eating that snake- ew look at him ripping it's head right off. Honey Badger don't care. He'd take on a Reaper bare-pawed and rip out its eyes.

Yeah, it does get out of hand. There's a difference between having a different interpretation of a story, and telling someone their mother should DIAF because they believe in IT.
