Why announce it 1.5 months before release? I thought Bioware's new policy on announcing content was announcing the release date only when the product is already done and ready for shippment - like giving a week, two weeks max before actual release date..

I liked Petrovsky. I hope he is not indoctrinated and turns out to be some kind of ex-Cerberus held prisoner or something.

Is he ever mentioned as being indoctrinated in any Mass Effect medium?  I've heard others say him being there could mean he's indoctrinated or something but I've never seen his name and indoctrination brought up in the same sentence.

Obviously if he is indoctrinated, then we got ourselves a ballgame with IT.

What i like about Petrovsky, besides the fact that he is russian and awesome at the same time, is his saying about gurillia warfare - and how it applies to the IT. ))

In this instance, I think Omega would be ready for launch well before that but they're holding it back for two reasons. First, to give people plenty of time to enjoy (read: spend money on) the new MP content. The DLC more or less revamped/rebooted MP. Also, if they're releasing two new MP characters a week as rumored, they'll be finished with that the week before Omega drops. Second, releasing it in late November avoids competing with the impending AAA title releases.

You guys are going to be disapointed when Omega is released and the fact it has no tie-in to Indoctrination. Let-alone, nothing this year will tie in with Indoctrination, nor will the next one.

I'm constantly baffled by why people believe IT is real these days. People really are grasping at straws now. No disrespect, it's a cool theory and probably would have been a better recieved ending, but it's not going to happend- it just aint.

I'm glad you work within BioWare's inner circle and can definitively say what is and isnt going to happen.

I liked Petrovsky not necessarily because he is russian, but because he was an ambivalent character. He would be perfectly suited for what I thought of Cerberus in ME 2. Kind of respectable goals but trying to achieve them in a shady way.
He also is a character that is able to show empathy and respect to his enemies. Furthermore his affinity to history was something I liked.
He is classy, respectful, thoughtful and more a strategist/tactician than some kind of aggressive mook with the tendency to act like an attention wh0re with an affinity to other people's comestible goods (guess who I am referring to). This kind of makes him to the anti-Kai-Leng within Cerberus and thus a formidable opponent (or even a valuable ally if he is not indoctrinated/integrated).

Oh so that was why Leviathan was focused heavily on Indoctrination and featured a Illusion sequence whose start mirrored the start of the end sequence exactly.

Also the mere fact that Cerberus is involved means Indoctrination is involved because they are, you know, Indoctrinated.

We're not. As long as those dream sequences remain in the game, as longs as that kid shows up at the beginning and the end; IT will continue. IT cannot be stopped.:)

With all due respect, please be quiet unless you have something of value to say.  You will not change any opinions here with anything short of a quote from a BioWare dev, in context, that says that IT is well and truly false.  Since you do not have a quote, please do not post.  Thank you.

P.S. And no, it would not be inaccurate to take the, "With all due respect," the way Ashley takes it when on Virmire arguing with Kaidan. :)

I'm no longer holding out hope that Bioware is going to include Indoctrination Theory to Mass Effect canon. I have, however, added it permanently to my headcanon for the end. Narratively speaking, it's the only thing that makes any part of the ending make any logical sense. I love Mass Effect 3, but I vehemently detest the last 10 minutes or so, and avoid them at all costs.

Why not?  I mean, they added a few new things in the Extended Cut, in Leviathan, and they left so many of those things that were not originally explained unexplained.  I still believe that they're going to do something with IT, and, moreover, that they originally intended it.

If IT is the only logical explanation that makes sense of the ending, it's logical that BioWare will include it (if they didn't do it already) in ME canon. Posted Image
