I just thought of something that didn't occur to me till now. Remember how the Quarians haven't been converted into a Reaper yet just about everyone else has. Plus the Quarians haven't been indoctrinated yet right (as far as we know)?  So could it be because of the Quarian self contained suit prevents Quarians from being indoctrinated.  Plus take the average Quarian out of their suit, they'll die from minor injury/illness. It's why Harbinger says Quarians are weak and not fit to become Reapers (and due to the suits) not co-opable.

The Quarians also rarely if ever leave their suits. So is it possible that Tali may be the only member of the Normandy not actually indoctrinated to some degree unless you picked her as your romance partner?

Why would romancing Tali make her vulnerable to indoc?

If she isn't indoctrinated, she might be the Galaxy's last hope in ME4. The new protagonist!

Unfortunately, I doubt quarians are immune to indoc. They could be used as kamikazee.

I love Tali, but there's no way in hell I could put up with >20 hours of gameplay with her as the protagonist. My brain would die.

LMAO a great reason to have Tali as a wife right?  What you said is a common complaint with wives lol. By the way why she wouldn't be indoctrinated from the prior post cause she's in a self contained suit.

Indoctrination - Reaper "indoctrination" is an insidious means of corrupting organic minds, "reprogramming" the brain through physical and psychological conditioning using electromagnetic fields, infrasonic and ultrasonic noise, and other subliminal methods.

So the reapers are limited. At worst Tali is just indoctrination resistant.

Tali can never be indoctrinatedPosted Image! In all honesty, its unlikely they would pick one of the "original"/"well-known" squadmates to be indoctrinated. Most likely if anyone was indoctrinated,it would be Vega because he is new.

i just finished replaying all of ME 3 again... enjoying every moment of it by the way... and i just couldnt get into my head... why TIM had the really bad facial scarring at the end...

now i know he recieved surgery while on cronos station.. we see that in the cerberus video logs... what im bothered about is that we now know he recieved his surgery before we arrived on the station... yet when we have a live conversation with him in his main room via hologram he has no facial scarring at all...
so his scars from surgery have healed....

so why do we then see TIM with facial scarring and very obvious reaper tech standing next to us on the citadel...? true he could have been hit by a similar blast as shepard.. but he has no marks on his clothing.. not even blood... this leads me even further to believe that this is not the illusive man.. just another image created from shepards mind... given the timeline there is no reason for the illusive mans apperance other than to provide a very obvious clue to the player.. you... that TIM is being controlled by the reapers and his intentions are not to be trusted...

then with the very obvious lie about shepard not being able to survive the destroy... trying to sway his decision with self preservation and the option of not sacrificing an entire race... he offers you the "ideal solution" ... which really doesnt sit well with me no matter how many times i consider it... and the talk about being like a fire... their just doing their job is total bull... the look that banshee gives samaras daughter as it stabs its arm through her gut and then stares with joy and hate into her eyes is not what i would consider.. just doing your job...

yeah.. so ..kind of rambled on a bit there... sorry.. but its all still fresh in my mind.. and every time you play it you start to think a little differently about some of the stuff your seeing in it...

Implant rejection of a very exotic kind. It's entirely possible that he just stopped the upkeep of his implants as a side effect of his indoctrination.

What? Banshees only have one expression, it's a side effect of their faces being mostly skulls. And they can't emote with their eyes either.

well if we go with the ending all being in Shepard's head then he really could represent the reapers trying to control you via your implants?

Yes. If.
Although there's another possibility: the other two endings can be indoctrination attempts, but Shepard can just defeat them and succeed in either Control or Synthesis anyway. This'd be consistent with the indoctrination-supporting imagery while still allowing for a diversity of options at the end.

Well if you look hard you can tell that his QEC hologram is much younger looking than him in person so it could be hiding the scars to I guess. But personally I think it's just what Shepard assumed happened to him after you're shown that he undergoes reaper implimentation.

Why bother indoctrinating Shepard if all 3 choices are right. What an utterly pointless narrative and game mechanic. It's not pre-school where everyone's ****ty cat drawing is beautiful and unique in it's own special way. It's the Reaper Wars. Mistakes can be made. Choosing the options represented by the two primary indoctrinated figures in the series shouldn't be rewarded.

Well, for one thing, it's a game. For another, a lot of its advertising was based around being able to take multiple paths and succeed, and both prior games have done this with their ending, and almost all other, choices (the one exception being sleeping with Morinth, which is really more of an easter egg), regardless of who advocated what decision, if anyone did. This would be about the very worst place to break with that, and would anger a great many people, likely even some who did choose Destroy.
