And no one else shows any signs from this indoctrination? I'm sorry, but this is reliant upon an incredibly weak thread of evidence. And if that's the case, why would greater EMS mean that this Shepard could find a new way to leave Indoctrination, whereas if Shepard destroyed the base, higher EMS just means more ways to fail?masster blaster wrote...
Oh sorry was going to say more.
If you saved the Collector base, Shepard is already undergoing Indoctrination because you saved a base that was full of Reaper tech, and now at the end the first thing you get is Control. Ya that's right. Notice if you Destroy a Reaper artifact, the person affected will become it's self again for a bref moment.
Hence if you Destroyed the Collector base your resisting the Reapers Control over your mind. Hence your first option is Destroy.

Neither one makes sense, for the reason I posted above.spotlessvoid wrote...
Destroy isn't an option because Shepard is too weak to break free. He's almost completely gone. Or he's a failure and Harbinger doesn't even find him worthy. Both make sense

There is the recipe to make the ultimate ending, the genius plot twist that will have generations of gamers wonder at the genius behind the design of the game. Watch carefully :masster blaster wrote...
My questions is, why hasn't anyone found this place? I mean it's right under neath the Council chambers. I mean come on. No Organic has been to it, or even see it. Asari can live a thousand years right. They found the Citadel first, but never did they bother to look at a big long poll sticking right in the middle of this large space station.
Really.
Also I find it funny, that two of our chocies are already on the Citadel.
Who the hell bult them? Nobody that wanted to kill the Reaper would want to Control them, unless you were Indoctrinated, and got a crazy Idea to Control the Reapers.
Also I have been thinking about the Reaper brain, and a horrible thought came into mind.
If you have the brain, and pick Control. You loose Shepard forever, as well as in Destroy. You see if you have the heart, and the brain, the Reapers gain Control of Shepard's Mind ( the brain) and body ( the heart)
In Destroy the Reapers Destroy Shepard's body, and mind, but your war assets save you some how. Hence if you saved the Collector base your Shepard is more likly to get Indoctrinated easily in Control do to the brain, and heart.
Throw nonsense at the end of a game, with badly reviewed gameplay, pretend you were rushed by deadlines and concentrating on multiplayer, and voilà! The players will eventually find out your insanely thought-out storyline : it was all a dream.

Ho! He's a failure, but nevertheless Harbinger spares him and brings him up the elevator to have a useless chat with a hologram. Makes sense.spotlessvoid wrote...

When the artifact was Destroyed, he became aware again, but he didn't even remember where he was, or what he was doing.
Now if you savve the base, it still has it's hold on you. Maybe in Omega if you saved it, you can Destroy it again.
Also if you pay attention why is Control the first ending you get if you save the Collector base?
Makes no sense. Shepard should be thinking about Destroying the Reapers, not Controlling them.
Okay I have to go to bed, so night.

But the brain can survive and yet give Shepard the option to Destroy anyway, if EMS is high enough. What induces this change?masster blaster wrote...
Not really Xil. Like I said. If the Reaper artifact isn't Destroyed, like the Morielth in Evolution the person near, or has been to the artfact are infulenced by it. Until it is Destroyed. Look at Saren's brother.

That's also what Shepard and Anderson talk about when arriving inside the Citadel, and it makes sense, since in all cycles, the population of many millions on the Citadel must have been disposed of in some way.dorktainian wrote...
i always assumed the citadel itself was a huge reaper. like a venus fly trap - waiting in space for the right moment then SNAP closed arms and slusho processing time.

Destroy the brain, and Reaper shatter Shepard's mind, unless your assets stop them from doing so, but by saving the base, it will take more assets to help Shepard.

The brute was named to suggest its appearance: a large enemy with an oversized claw, able to pick up and mash Shepard into the ground. The Krogan were a perfect species to use as a model. We decided to swap out the Krogan head for something turian, making for a grisly synthesis of two species whose planets were closely linked in the invasion plan.

Even with the tacked on bull**** about having to kill EDI and the Geth, the vast majority of people still picked destroy. I wonder how large that number would be if it only killed the Reapers?
It probably would be depressingly low. Of course, by depressingly low, I mean there would be at least one who chose Control and one who chose Synthesis, which would be one too many for each.

exactly... it seems the perfect place to build a reaper ....right...? plenty of space to build it in the middle... and it would seem the previous cycles had only one major species ruling.... so the citadel would be full of the species you were wanting to harvest... unlike the current mix we have now...
even after the events of me1 were still using the citadel... people still dont see it as a trap... were so easily repulsed by the thougt of using reaper tech.. yet were all fine with using the big reaper death trap station as a base of galactic goverment... weird
would love to see the presidium tower detach at the end when shep wakes up and realizes the intelligence is actually on the citadel.. ordering hacketts fleet to open fire on it as it begins to flee... perhaps it activates the citadels mass relay... so close to earth.. the entire planet could be pulled through to dark space... damn that would be cool...

I will mock what people like you make of this thread, you can be sure of that. You are just repeating what others have found, and making it your own doing so. Yet with all the work that's been put together up to now, you fail to have better arguments than hominem attacks when any newcomer pokes holes into your knowledge. Since the material you use is not "yours", you quickly fall out of arguments, and turn to childish behavior to try to "protect your home" from invaders. Welcome to the Internet, fellow, and enjoy freedom. I wish you could stop suffering in front of everyone just for the sake of peace. Massster is much more mature than you are, maybe you should look at the spirit behind is writing. He never goes out of ideas, and never looses faith like you. I enjoy this thread because of people like him, even if I often disagree with him.
