Bioware recently announced a Sovereign replica, but why not a Harbinger replica? It just seems that the second one would sell better. Because they chose Sovereign, could this possibly be leading to a 'Sovereign's mind uploaded to the Citadel' reveal?

Yeah, but for those who hadn't played Mass Effect or Dragon Age it was a real "deal". Besides, the coupon could've been used to subtract $20 from the total price.

I'm fairly sure a direct battle with any reaper in a virtual world would end horribly.

When I think about it, something more than a cameo would be even better. Imagine that, a long-dead enemy raises from the grave and strikes back (supported by Harbinger). Cheesy but might work.

On the other hand, according to the Codex entry on AI, it's impossible to transfer it to another medium. Unless the Reapers have some fancy tech to do that, bye bye Sovereign's come-back. Also, if the Reapers had the means, why wouldn't they give it to the geth, which would save Legion.

we dont know if the reapers intelligence was housed in a specific part of the ship.... maybe like EDI it exists all over the ship and even just one piece is needed to survive...its another reason why i think EDI will make a return apperance sometime in the future... she turned herself good and devoted herself to duty, altruism and love... im sure that still exists somewhere on the normandy

I've often thought a virtual battle would be the only way to have a proper one-on-one boss fight with a reaper. Imagine the cheesy satisfaction of beating Harby's avatar to a pulp, then Shepard whispering in his ear "This hurts you, you son of a ..."

I forgot that EDI actually uploaded herself to a different medium. But wasn't that upload partial, the real EDI stayed on the ship. In that case, Legion might still be alive. He said he must go to them - kind of download himself from the platform. It doesn't make sense if he dies during the process.

exactly.. taking down a reaper in their own world would be awesome... we only have the control ending as clue to what the inside of a reapers mind looks like... and taking down the biggest baddest one of all in their home turf would be legendary...

i often considered the stargazer scene to be the harvested... living their lives inside a virtual interface inside a reaper... we already know the protheans can access genetic memory through DNA... perhaps the reapers also do this through means of technology...

If the people who were processed are now existing in this virtaul interface... the idea of "preserving a species in reaper form" is absolutely true... each reaper becomes the world in which their species now lives.....

I hadn't thought of that. I like that idea, it's genuinely quite creepy.

If IT is true, then EDI will continue to exist regardless of the 'literal' destroy ending. Legion on the other hand should remain dead. He was actually my favorite character, but some sacrifices had to be made. His and Mordin's deaths made the emotional impact so much stronger.

Yeah, every work of fiction must have some sort of conflict / dramatic question. Only the destroy ending with IT can provide that.

 Hey when you guys were talking about the limited endings for low EMS I had an idea about it.  Not necessarily compatible with IT so I kept it out of here, but if anyone's interested, I'd like to hear any thoughts.  Post is here.

Hey guys I had a crazy thought. What if Nazar is trying to gain a new body. Think about it. In control nazar gains control of shepards mind so that nazar can make himself a new reaper body.

Also In synthesis nazar fuses shepard with Nazar.

In Destroy Shepard well you already know about Destroy at this point.

Oh and what if the Catalyst wants to leave Harbinger, and have Shepard download his/her mind so that Star brat can creat himself the ultimate Reaper.

In Synthesis He fuses Shepard with Harbinger creating somethin unholy, that will make the galaxy quake in fear.

If Destroy is canonised then ME4 would be about a different antagonist, not about Reapers.  Unless it's about some far-away Reaper that was near a since-dormant Mass Relay.

There don't need to be Reapers left alive for there to be an ME4.  And there are theories which involve indoctrination but aren't IT or Deception, including mine and ealeander's (he posted his here).
