Oh my god he is hilarious!

And yeah, its started to get to that point with me. I keep going "Does no one understand narrative? Foreshadowing? Anything?"

Yeah, that's the way I've felt for months and Arian and Bill definitely agree. Hell, most of this thread is probably right there with us.

Yeah, that's the way I've felt for months and Arian and Bill definitely agree. Hell, most of this thread is probably right there with us.

I'll just pop in for a sec and drop some awesome examples of foreshadowing and good writing that Blur and I found in the last few days.

- "Now they've cut a swath, a no man's land, through the city.
"Definition: A row or line of grass, grain, or other crop as it lies when mown or reaped.

- Rupe Elkoss: Sanctuary's a scam.
Just awesome! It's a too-good-to-be-true dream world. Remind you of anything? Especially when you remember what they're doind there...

- Firebase Jade. Now, I know I already told you about how there are flies on this map and in SP, just because of one of Javik's lines. Incredible.
Anyway, while there has been some speculation that that map name came from this person's name, a more... likely scenario is that it is because of this.
Jade: A bad-tempered or disreputable woman.

Like say, her.
Crazy!

- For fun. You know how after listening to the Shepard VI, Shepard says: "I don't really sound like that. Do I?"

Well, the funny thing is everyone hears their own voice lower than it is to others. So it could actually be that since we're listening to Shepard from Shepard's perspective, we are actually hearing that lower pitched voice. Which means Shepard really does sound like that to everyone else! Whoa!

May not be such a weird question but why did BioWare release a single player weapons pack so late from the release of the game?

It really will impact primarily replay folks and people getting the trilogy and/or Wii U versions (and me since I went and got it lol)

Does this mean they will release more than just Omega?

The foreshadowing is amazing and I'm just now getting sad that so few understand or appreciate it...

There are tools a good writer uses. They are present in IT, they are almost completely absent in literal.

Has anyone ever considered that it wasnt shepard that made it to the beam first...?

When we see the scene with Hackett.... "somebody made it to the beam"....

What if it was Anderson who made it to the beam... Anderson gave the order of no retreat at all costs...
unlike Shepard who evacs his team.. Anderson makes his way past shepard who has now been hit by Harbingers beam... and makes his way to the beam and up into the station....

Harbinger..... aware that someone made it to the citadel... attempts to indoctrinate Shepard and tasks him with getting to he beam....

Now shepard has entered the citadel... he makes his way along the same route Anderson would have walked... the conversation he has with anderson is all in his head as he moves forward... eventualy making it to the chamber shepard sees anderson....... "Anderson?"

When Anderson turns around... Shepard sees Anderson acting oddly...more likely Anderson is suprised to find Shepard standing here after being blasted by a reaper...and lets down his guard....Shepard then starts holding his head in pain.... "aaaarrrghhh"..... Harbinger then makes TIM appear to shepard... so when shepard shoots Anderson it can be explained as TIM's actions....

A stand off then ensues... Anderson talks to shepard.. unable to pull the trigger on a friend... the converstation between them getting stranger and stranger as Shepard argues with anderson... what you say to TIM your actually saying to Anderson.... and perhaps what TIM says is what Shepard also says to Anderson...
and as the conversation gets worse... Shepard ends up shooting Anderson again... finishing him off...

But Anderson has already activated the controls... now under harbingers control... shepard attempts to stop it.....

If you're female he says "She did it."

If I were to play devil's advocate here, I'd say that the important part of the quote is "someone made it to the citadel." That could mean Shepard was the one who allowed everyone to accomplish their goals, hence the "she". Not that I agree with that. Posted Image

Hackett says "she/he did it"   but hes unaware of who... he like us just assumes it was shepard who made it up...

Yeah you're right. It is a very interesting theory. Would make me very sad that I betrayed Anderson though

Anderson states "I followed you to the beam."
So no, he didn't got there before Shepard.

it could easily have been harbingers words...  your taking things at face value...

also.. wasnt it anderson who contacted shepard when he arrives on the citadel...?
how would anderson have known that shepard used the beam...? possible answer.....he didnt... it is harbinger manipulating shepard... harbinger uses shepard as a tool to stop anderson from activating the station...

And this video just summs up all my thoughts about the Extended Cut.

Except that i really with there was an on/off switch for it. Cause for me it is still the same ending (waking up) and i like it shorter and more streamlined. And with out the god-awfull-stupid-condescending normandy pick-up scene, and overall sunshine-and-bunnies condescending tone of it.

we found an Earth-sized planet around Alpha Centauri B.

B is less powerful than our Sun, so the fact that it's as close to their star as Mercury is to ours (3 day orbit) means it would be cooler than Mercury. It might still need to be moved out further from orbit. Maybe we'll find another planet though. Still, it's encouraging!

Soon we'll find Thessia and Illium Posted Image

That system is only 4 light years away, the closest star to us has planets we can explore someday. It's pretty exciting. We'll probably never see it but wheeeeeeee! :D

I never thought that we would see a real life holodeck either.  But if you think about some of the tech that is right on the horizon - its no so unthinkable anymore.

If they actually can make this warp bubble travel happen - it might still happen in our lifetime.  And the science behind that seems legit...

You know that a huge increase in life expectancy (maybe even reaching to points of eternal life) are even more probable than any kind of superluminar spaceflight? Right now, eternal life is nothing that is against any physical law.

I always wondered why human ingenuity did only increase life expectancy to 150 yr tops in MEU...
Some kind of telomere-regeneration at hand would've ensured eternal youth (=/= immortality).

Oh, and for the warp buble to work, you need exotic matter afaik (matter with negative mass or some way to alter mass, some kind of Element Zero).

I definitely should play Texas Holdem more...

Morning guys. So thewill I see your little theory, but I have a problem.

How does Shepard survivie a direct hit from Harbingers beam? How is it possible for Anderson to be on the Citadel in real life or anybody if Coats says my they are all gone?

Also how do you know which words are Harbingers? Everything could be Harbinger?

Harbinger ,could be saying " Someone made it to the Citadel" to fool us that we are really there. That's my problem with your theory.

It's not bad, but if your saying Anderson's " I follow you up." Is Harbinger, then can everybodys voice after you get it by Harbingers beam is Harbinger in dissciuse?

Because space magic.

Really MB, it's not possible, so there's no point in asking

I'm half surprised Shepard's not yet tried to shag a Yahg.

So guys I have been thinking about the Normandy evac seen, and something was wrong about it. As your Shepard leaves your LI is holding out their hand like they want us to come with them, or they want us to pull them back towards us. I find it weird because it's like they know something bad was going to happen, and they wanted to stay by Shepard.

It's like they are the shackels of Shepard's mind. If you remove the squad members, then your leaving Shepard's mind ( the players) vunurable. Think about it when we are talking to people, doesn't our squad members like to give their personal imput, and don't we sometimes ask them which is the right chocie?

Also what's funny in the low ems ending, is that when we see our two squad members get turned into dust when Harbinger hits them with the beam, how are they infront of Shepard with no scrathcs, or burnt marks on them. When Shepard wakes up from Harbingers beam.

Also doesn't the scene look way different. What happened to the mako that was next to Shepard. Why are their Alliance soldiers that have their bodys in tact if Harbinger was disentergrating them? Why didn't Shepard call in Coats if his/her com worked? Why didn't the Normandy come back for Shepard if they found out nobody made it to the Citadel? Why is Shepard even alive at all?

So many things at the end makes no sense, unless you think

Bad writing, or
IT.

Also TSA was there anything in the weapons dlc ( the new one) about Omega script, new dlc, or new hints that point to IT?

i just wonder if bioware do indeed plan an 'ending DLC' but were so rushed getting the game out didn't have anywhere near the time to finish it, so they've been experimenting with multiplayer DLC - knowing the ending DLC will be a full on multiplayer event.

It appears BW have learned their lesson and stopped putting whole script files in every new DLC ;)

Dorktain, so it's like for mp we get the ending for free, and in sp dlc we have to buy their dlc to add more to it to wake up, or build a brigger amry incase the Crucible is a trap? Or am I missing something?

TSA, well that sucks, but I guess it's good not knowing about what may come in a dlc. IT anybody, and Shepard getting out of the rubble and finishing the fight.
