Thanks for this.  So imagine if Traynor was the traitor!!  She suddenly decides where the Cerberus base is out of nowhere.  Imagine if she was just luring you into a trap!  And that there's another way to finish the game, by not going there!  Possibilities, possibilities...

Also Traynor plays chess with you, which is a classic bad guy thing to do against the good guy!  Especially if they're good at chess!

Does anyone know if there's anything else you can do instead of going to the Cerberus base?  Like go to the Citadel maybe?  The description of the supposed Cerberus base was really weird wasn't it?  Almost like a warning?  I swear it said something about other ships recently docking there or something...

Her parents are from London.

While I don't think she's an 'enemy'...

Our more crazy theories are starting to peg damn near EVERYONE as at least partially indoctrinated in some form:
-Samantha
-James
-Liara
-EDI

Just off top of head.

This whole thing could be quite wrong though.

Ladies and Gentlemen,
I proudly present the results of the last poll. I have also updated the list an encourage you to take part at the new poll and the survey about your choice at your first playthrough.
I would also like to have you spread the word about these polls to anyone who is interested in this topic.

Since it got lost in another discussion... shameless repost is shameless

Okay, some totally random thoughts I had that do not have necessarily something to do with IT:

1. We do not know where Morinth hides in ME 3, but what if she was on Omega and we would be able to save her?
I know many killed her in ME 2, but compare this to Jack's fate in ME 3, if you refuse to go to Grissom Acadamy. Jack is being integrated and fights against you as a Phantom on Chronos Station (afaik). Now, if you could save Morinth on Omega from being captured by Reapers or their agents, you'll gain her as an asset and you won't fight her on Earth as a Banshee. Does anyone else see these parallels and the potential?
I am aware that this scenario is highly unlikely, since Morinth is one of the most disliked characters in the game and a chance to give her character more screentime is not on a very high spot on BW to-do list.

2. This is more IT related. Did anyone of you wonder, why all squadmates are on the Normandy at the end of the game?
I mean, the obvious inconsistency was that the two selected squadmates teleported to the Normandy in the original endings. This has been addressed with the extended cut (though the pick-up would've been way more realistic using Steve and a shuttle), but this does not explain how the rest of the squadmates made it to the Normandy!
Shouldn't Garrus be fighting together with the Turians?
Shouldn't Ashley be fighting together with some marines or spectres?
Shouldn't Kaidan be leading the biotic squad?
Shouldn't Tali be coordinating the Geth and Quarians?
Shouldn't Liara be commanding her wet squads and kill teams or assisting somehow with the Crucible and tech/recon in general?
Shouldn't Vega be fighting in an N7 squad?
Shouldn't Javik be fullfilling his fate as avatar of vengence?
Shouldn't EDI's mobile platform be assisting in tech/recon?

No, two of them are with Shepard and it is explained how those two are picked up by the Normandy. The rest should still be on Earth fighting.

The Kid? That's a surprising result.

Yeah, that changed about 24 hours ago. It was a tie between TIM/Anderson and the Kid, then the latter got a few votes more.

Looking back on it, I wouldn't have chosen the Kid had I realized that the Guardian was a separate choice, since I assume that the two would go together. Oh well...

Yeah, I am waiting for Omega DLC to see if that DLC will contain the same amount of (or even more) information related to IT as Leviathan DLC.
If that is the case, I would add an Omega concept and would merge The Kid and The Guardian to one point.
There would be two polls:
One to place the now combined The Kid/Guardian concept in the list.
Another to place the Omega concept in the list.
BTW: The thread is really sloooow today.

The kid can't be involved in IT...can he? edit: Also backbone of IT is Anderson being born in London.

I don't even know why people have to go on those polls to spew their bile. Yeah, we get it. You don't like IT. Stop being obsessive about it and acting like it killed your mom.

Yeah, but it's immensely stupid to be annoyed or get mad at the idea that someone has a different interpretation of a form of media. It's just more "stop liking what I don't like" BS.

I think it's because they feel you guys are living in delusion, and that you giving credit to something that is terrible as if it's a grand piece of writing (and even if IT is true, whether or not it's good writing is still up for debate) is insulting.

He can but the Guardian looking exactly like that kid (save for the luminescence) is a more compelling evidence IMO. I guess many voters were confused which one to choose.

It's still stupid to care that much about a video game interpretation.

@BatmanTurian Yup. Humanity is pretty stupid as a whole. It's unfortunate, but my view seems to be this:
I love individual people; I hate humanity. Make sense?

So I was thinking about Virmire today...we know that wasn't studying rapid indoctrination (since nothing was getting huskified)...but does anything ever suggest how he was implementing the slow indoctrination process? Might go a long way to help explain IT...

There was a lot of speculation that the child in the prologue was a hallucination before Mass Effect 3 ever hit shelves...
Even as soon as the E3 demo...

"The Kid" should include recurring appearances in dreams and the form the Guardian takes...

LOL. I know that. I was just surprised because there were seemingly more convincing options in that poll. I myself chose the Guardian. And there was Anderson & TIM too. The kid definitely foreshadows IT but it's only in the Catalyst's Chamber that we learn what purpose he'd served throughout the game. Therefore the Catalyst and his form are stronger catalysts of IT.
