Look, it just doesn't make sense, that's all. I've never said it wouldn't make sense to see them in any other DLC, but I'm saying it wouldn't make sense to see them on Omega, and you know why?
Because Omega belongs to Cerberus, and Cerberus is still fighting the reapers.
This may come as a bit of a shock to you, but Cerberus conquered Omega, not the collectors. In fact, the comic series "Mass Effect: Invasion" covers this quite thoroughly.
You're not entitled to seeing collectors in anything that has to do with the SP campaign. No one has ever told you that they'd appear there. They are an MP only enemy.

I think it's because they feel you guys are living in delusion, and that you giving credit to something that is terrible as if it's a grand piece of writing (and even if IT is true, whether or not it's good writing is still up for debate) is insulting.
It's still stupid to care that much about a video game interpretation.
Well, you no longer believe this stuff by your own admission, so me discussing it is less stupid than you coming in here.
I'm just stating facts as they are. You implied I was stupid by talking about it in this thread after I said other people were stupid for trying to halt discussion by insults. Therefore, you technically insulted me first. Don't try to turn it around on me.
I know the reasons and Thisoneispunny is right about them. It is nothing but childish blather lashing out at us since they can't talk directly to Bioware. Again, it's stupid.
Well, that is false equivalence.

"It's that ship. Sovereign. It emits some kind of signal. Undetectable, but it's there. I've seen the effects. Saren uses it to influence his followers. To control them. It's called indoctrination. Direct exposure to the signal turns you into a mindless slave, like the Salarian test subjects. But there's collateral damage, too"
"Sovereign's signal is too strong (weird sound effect here) spend too much time near the ship and you feel it, like a tingle at the back of your skull. It's like a whisper you can't quite hear, but you're compelled to do things but you don't know why. You just obey. Eventually, you just stop thinking for yourself. It happens to everyone at the facility. My first test subject was the man I replaced."
"The signal comes from the ship. It makes us obey Saren, but I don't think he controls it. Not exactly. I think... he's scared it might be affecting him. (weird sound effect here) Indoctrination is subtle, by the time the effects become noticeable, it's usually too late."
"Signal's not exactly the right word. There's some kind of energy field emanating from the ship. It changes thought patterns (weird sound effect here) Over time. Days. Maybe a week, it weakens your will. You become easier to manipulate and control, but it's a degenerative condition. There is a balance between control and usefulness. The less freedom a subject maintains, the less capable it becomes."

Basically, what is that sound effect?
It's like a swishing sound...
I checked other Rana videos and it happens in the same spots...

And she open an elevator that leads to testing grounds - open a door for you that leads to a place where subjects get exposed to the effects of indoctrination. why do we need Arrival again???? Rana Thanapsis was not in contact with object rho. In fact the only place she had contactact with the reapers was virmire - and i get the feeling she wasn't there for long.
We always assume that sovereign was a hologram or something....But there is really no ecqipment there either - just the prothean beacon. What if eve he was not real and just a projection into all our team brain? (since you know - this is the place where you expose subjects to sovereign'd indoctrinating "signal".
And another thing - color coding - if it is just a projection into you brain than the color is very telling - you see it how your brain interpret it -
In ME1 Sovereign is bright red (danger)
In ME2 however, Harbinger is Yellow. (not so danger any more)
In ME3 - the Guardian is just white, with the option of everything turning blue, or even green.
The Guardina straight tells you that he is trying to indoctrinate you - ha says - "it is not something that con be...forced...". And what do you know to be such a thing? Indoctrination - it is a slow and carefull process. If you force it - you'll get a mindless drooling drone.
Good job all who picked synthesis - you just gave the reapers green light to your brain. (and in real life too sadly, cause you really got brain damaged over a video game, that is sad)

It's one of those retrospect hint thingies, where the interpretation value is up for the player to decide:
You can either see it literally, or you can see it as a double entendre.
Or, that's my view on this.

And that really makes you thing what happens to Harbinger if you shoot that tube. And why is he not around to finish the job, when you wake up.
Fot me, the ending really was a Boss battle. And if you wake up from it, you not only get to live, but you also at least cripple harbinger.

I actually disagree.
The room with the beacon is likely the most private part of the base, a place where only Saren ever sets foot given the value and knowledge contained in the beacon. As such it would make sense for a communicator with Sovereign to be placed there as well. There is even a raised area above the beacon which seems to serve no pupose other than beeing a platform for Saren to stand on while talking to Sovereign.
The one in Arrival however I have only one thing to say about: Who would place a holo communicator in open Space!

Don't Strawman it, it was entirely plausible they'd share resources between the SP and MP campaign. And the standard practice is to deny everything so we'll see when it comes out. If it's a big reveal as part of the story; they obviously want to keep it under wraps as long as possible.estebanus wrote...
Did you really thinki that we'd be facing collectors in Omega? Really? Because that really makes no sense. Did you even think that we'd be seing the collectors again before that MP DLC was released?
I mean really, big whoop. Look, I'd rather be fighting soviet Spetznaz than Cerberus. We've never killed one of those in the series, have we? Neither have we killed any combine soldiers, or dragons!

Could be. But I want to think that Harbinger has a firewall set up to prevent that from happening. The purpose of the ending should remain to complete the indoctrination of Shepard.demersel wrote...
