Reaper forces met a surprising amount of resistance at Illium. Its leaders were paranoid about keeping their fortunes, and were influential in both Terminus and Citadel space. They acquired a large defense fleet and a high number of fission weapons, and in the brief space battle, used them on the Reaper fleet's troop transports rather their near-impervious capital ships. As a result, the inevitable ground invasion has been slowed to a crawl as the Reapers manufacture more troops.

Basically, what is that sound effect?
It's like a swishing sound...
I checked other Rana videos and it happens in the same spots...
The leslie/echo type effect?
It is not part of the music, then? Separate sound files?
It does have a "whispery" quality to it - don't know whether to guess it more than part of a topical mood sound bed.

Is it just me or is Omega exploding in this photo?
Also, the Normandy wouldn't be flying towards it if that were true.
So why is Omega (the asteroid portion) illuminated? If it was the sun it would be like an eclipse, not illuminated. Personally having the ability to blow it up would be awesome. ME3 needs MOAR EXPLOSIONS!!!!
Also...on Collectors in SP...totally possible. Why impliment it in MP to not have it in the DLC? There is also foreshadowing about it as well. In the books at least...it is told to the reader that Collectors are known to make deals there (makes sense cause of Omega relay) but also that there is a possiblilty that Omega is of Reaper origin. (Hinted at in Retribution. [fun fact: synonym for retaliation is retribution.]) I even thought up a possible reason in 5 minutes. Omega is a cloning factory for producing collectors. Totally logical...
On the survey for top 10 proof of IT, I feel the Guardian must be in the top 5. I mean really. It is damning proof. Literalist or not, it shows that the LEADER OF THE REAPERS IS IN SHEPARDS MIND. That's what IT is all about!!!!!

“"Let none in my sight continue to live, lest their impurity displease me." The Word is clear on this, friends. Humans are the hands of the Reapers, here to commit the galaxy to ruin!”
“"Bring unto me the children, that I may watch them grow to soldiers for the cause." The way is clear, my friends. Draw your weapons for the Word, or face its terrible wrath!”
“The end times will come, not with a bang, but with a sigh. Those who
dip their extremities in the well of sin and vice must repent with
fire, oil, and gun! Let not fleshly friendships and base urges compel us
to sin and neglect. The Word makes its demands, and it demands
obedience!”
“"And on this great station, the pure shall be rejected, and the
lesser races given their places in heaven. And this shall be the
beginning of the end." The end times are upon us! Repent and restore your souls to glory!”

Mind = BLOWN
Seriously, what the ****!
Why haven't I played ME2 since ME3 came out?
The pure shall be rejected? You mean like, the ones who stay true to their beliefs, the ones who refuse indoctrination?
The lesser races given their places in heaven?
You mean like ascension, as in synthesis?
Holy guacamole!

Fission weapons on Illium. A second Tuchanka is about to appear in the Galaxy.demersel wrote...
Illium is a classic garden world, an entrepot between the Terminus Systems and the Asari Republics. To abet this trade, the normally stringent custom laws of Citadel space on product safety, proscribed materials, and sapient trafficking are relaxed. This world is hot and massive; ground settlement is only possible at the higher polar latitudes. In more equatorial locations, the population is housed in arcology skyscrapers to escape the heat of the surface.

Strange how there are always some random eruptions of trolls/lit(t)eralists in the IT polls and they all try to reason against the theory in such ridiculous ways. I can get it, when people lose hope and are disappointed, but stating that the lit(t)eral endings are more consistent and logical than IT without at least trying to back these statements up with something is just an insult to anyone who has put some thought into the ME series and the ending(s) of ME 3.
And they are all so predictable (insider joke for spotless).
Anyway, it seems to me these little trolls read our thread, then jump into your polls to harass us because they think they will be safe from moderators in the comments section of your polls ( unless I'm wrong and you're posting a new thread every time you make a new poll). I think we should call this to the mods' attention. I've reported posts but I don't know if anything has come of it.

Outside game evidence such as the community managers, Gamble, and I believe Mac Walters (but I could be wrong) saying that there is no more ending content coming, does not great IT evidence make. There are certain statements that could be taken as cryptic, but it's a tough sale, especially to hardened literalists.Bill Casey wrote...

The ending has been changed twice now by a free and then a paid DLC. Bioware are notorious spinners and liars. We all know that by now. Your argument is invalid.

the paid dlc added 2 lines with the catalyst. The other ending "change" you're referring to expanded on the literal interperetation of the ending, but did nothing for IT. Bioware's stance on this is that the extended cut represents the conclusion to the story. Any additions to this won't change the core of it.BatmanTurian wrote...
