Going back to the size of the Omega dlc for a minute, there's two reasons why I think it might be smart move for Bioware to release the IT reveal as part of this, rather than wait until next Spring as many hypothesised.
1. Christmas is coming and they have the Trilogy pack to sell. This pack is designed to appeal to people who are curious about ME but haven't taken the plunge yet. However the negative buzz about the endings, while somewhat abated, is still hanging around and is likely to put people off. If the ending is as epic as we all hope, it will redeem the franchise and give it a new lease of life just in time for the biggest marketing period of the year.
2. Bundling the reveal together with mid-game dlc to make a more substantial product, diffuses the potential "Azura's Wrath" backlash from people who (perhaps rightly) resent the notion of the true ending of the story being held hostage for more money.
Releasing the ending on its own might seem like the proverbial "nickel and diming", even if it sells for a relatively small amount. Throwing it in with Omega however, which many would have bought anyway, makes it seem like a bonus freebee. No-one complained that Throne of Bhaal represented the true ending to the story of the Bhaal Child in BG because it was a tremendous package that was worth the money, and added lots of new content, some of which was accessible during the main campaign
Of course I may be way off base here, but it does strike me as a sensible move on their part.
Edit: ooh look I'm on top of the page!
