Exactly! Overlord has been my main argument against Control and Synthesis endings!

Hmm, small wonder, if you free David he lets you into the armory at Grissom Academy. "Lots of guns"

Which ending do you use a gun?

I know, I know, I really pulled that one outta nowhere but there isn't much else to talk about...

That was actually a reference to the first Matrix, which is ironically also something we see on the sheet for the ending :P

Ha! I see that reference now!

I wonder if David knows kung-fu also..

Man, that reminds me of just how much I wanted the fight with Kai Leng to be some kind of awesome hand to hand fight between him and Shepard.  Why BioWare?  Whhhhhhyyyyyyy!!!!????

Just go melee, doing that all the time when facing him :D
quite effective on insanity.

Wel there are dlc to be made, so Martin Sheen itsn't done yet.

He was quoted saying that after ME2 came out. Or before ME3 came out. I forget.

It was before ME3.

However, that could be part of a larger quote from him that could be somewhere along the lines of:

"Oh, I'm here for the DLC as well. I'm not done yet! *laughs*"

And Bioware would just cut the start of it.

Not saying that's what happened, just saying that "Not done yet" could mean several things.

Haha I don't think Marine hand-to-hand would have been a match for Kai Leng's... whatever he had. Besides it probably would have turned into an "omni-blade vs. wakizashi" fight.

Adding a scene that combined forcing the omniblade down my throat, the addition of swords into the far future, and Deception Kai Leng probably would have made me sell ME3 before I watched AngryJoe which led me here :)

To be honest with the strength enhancements Shepard has gotten (going toe to toe with a Yagh anyone) I think a fist fight with Kai Leng would have been a pretty short afair. B)

Someone should make a fan made video... Including the Matrix fight music!

So if he were to be in more DLC Omega would be the logical first stop (if you didn't DL it Leviathan had no TIM)

Hmm, I wonder how big of a role he will have...

Huh, I just had a thought.  In ME2, when you destroy the Collector Base, Shepard says, "I won't let fear compromise who I am."  Now, during the ending of ME3, if you choose Synthesis, you are compromising who Shepard is.  Literally, actually.  Remember what Star-Brat says?  "Your organic energy, the essence of who and what you are, will be broken down and then dispersed."  The breaking down of his essence?  That sounds alot like compromising who he is, at least to me.  Thoughts?

YES!  Could it be done with the Source Filmmaker?  I mean, I know that several Mass Effect characters are in Garry's Mod.

I posted something similar a few weeks ago. There are clones of Shepard kept in refrigerators in dark space. When time comes they'll be deployed throughout the Galaxy to divert people from fighting the Reapers to succumbing to their teachings.

Anyone else thinks it's extremely suspicious that the new OP hasn't been announced yet? Maybe Reapers attacked Hackett's ship and he's dead.

Heck no!  You can't kill Hackett!  He's like an older, more Paragon, higher ranking, Alliance Zaeed!  Everyone else can die, but he can't!

I remember all of that. We can only hope that they will include it somewhere.

And you are absolutely right, there is no reason Shepard should'nt be indoctrinated.

If you have played Mass Effect: Infiltrator, then you will know of Randall Ezno. A cerberus agent implanted with the Cerberus control tech that turned every other soldier into a mindlessly loyal slave.

People use Randall Ezno as a defense that people can not be affected by indoctrination but the mass of people a seem to forget that Randall Ezno and Cerberus soldiers are not Reaper Indoctrinated. The only face we see of a cerberus trooper was one killed by Alliance forces on Mars. He could have been dead for awhile and we see that he has implants heavily grafted onto his face. These implants work using the control signal created at Sanctuary that can be co-opted to control Reaper forces.

The tech in Shepard, while making him a vastly superior soldier, is not the same tech. The cibernetics were necessary to bring him back to life. They were not combat upgrades, pllus they shine red.

Ezno's and Cerberus' implants glow blue (though through moral choices Ezno's can also glow red, not sure how this works) yet they upgrade combat abilities and have been known to grant biotic powers. Ezno's implants "failing" could be because they were inserted wrongly or because his bodily simply rejected the implants.

Take heart ladies and gentleman that was a healthy dose of speculation :D

Essentially, most of the weekend challenges will now be geared towards individual/squad goals that will pop up on Friday 10am PDT on your N7 page. It sounds like they'll still be doing allied ops with announcements preceding, but much less often.

:? That kinda sucks, at least we will be getting consistent weekly "challenges" (I don't want to call them Operations) I really loved the large scale Operations. At least they are keeping them going, I guess

Uhm it also upgraded Shepards combat capabilities. That is also why she is able to wield the Claymore in ME2 (the real deal thing, not the modified version in ME3)
Also Cerberus started "upgrading" their soldiers even before the Sanctuary project was finished which can be seen in the vlogs at the Cerberus HQ.

Ladies and Gentlemen,
I proudly present the results of the last poll. ]list an encourage you to take part at the new poll and the survey about your choice at your first playthrough.
I would also like to have you spread the word about these polls to anyone who is interested in this topic.

On a side note:
What would you recommend? Kill Rana Thanoptis or let her live now that we know what will happen to her?
I actually liked her character.

I usually let her live... killed her once. I hate that there is no option to stop her in Mass Effect 2. Though I do believe that the news report is important to us it isnt absolutely necessary.  There are other long term indoctrinated individuals, though she is very unique.

Wait why wasn't David seen in Grimssion Academy? Didn't we could send him to the academy? He should be there, but is he? I never played Overlord to be honest.

He is in Grissom Academy if you played Overlord (and sent him to the academy obviusly, but who dsoent?) and he unlocks a armory containing a few upgrades.

Though that is minor compared to the small conversation with him. He clearly is feeling much better and says:

"I have been counting" - David
"Anything in paticular?" - Shepard
"The number of days you lengthened your life" - David.

It is a sweet line. He also appologizes to EDI for trying to hack her if you have her with you.

Tears crawled into my eyes at that scene just because of the music :o

ME3 had lots of tear inducing moments...Mordin is still the one which touched me the deepest, the scene, the music, him singing "Scientist Salarian" as he works and the knowledge of what you have accomplished in that moment made me cry deeply :crying:

Off course his sacrifice is entirely pointless if you pick Synthesis <_<

In addition note the color of their uniforms: red. Which was the alliance color in ME1. It still strikes me as weird as to why they suddenly changed it to blue. In ME1 I actually never realized the paragon/renegade <-> blue/red symmetry (only with ME2) as the colors were for me already used.
For me it was Alliance/Geth and Reapers <->Red/Blue
from the first time on you see the blue lights on Husks, blue lights on Geth tech, blue lights on Sovereign (though it had red lasers and lightning arcs, but you only saw the lasers at the very end), and in contrast you have the red alliance colors, red lights of Alliance/Council ships, nearly any Turian that was not in C-SEC (which was blue and therefor fishy for me at first) or neutral had red lights and armor.
This, for me, was actually also more fitting with the color schema at the end, blue for Reapers, red for the Alliance/Council.
The change to blue was always for me like they were screwing with my mind.

I mentioned it upgraded him regardless =] Bone-fiber upgrades, heavy muscle weavs...

But those are not the "upgrades" we visibly see similar between Shep and Cerberus. To me those seem like things Cerberus added to ensure survivability once they have recovered Shep's body.

The control chip, if you will, is in use and created before Sanctuary, OK, and then was co-opted by Sanctuary for use against Reaper forces, is that more agreeable? :D

Hackett is epic. Speaking of Hackett, take a looks at this video.

"Once decoded, the schematics are designed in such a way that allows our scientists to easily translate the information. It's not prothean specific."

Shepard: "Hmm..." Shepard turns around and think about this. When Shepard does this, it's a queue for the players to also think about it. It says "Hey Blank just said something important, think about it!"

What else do we know of that is easy for all cycles to use (and was previously assumed to be prothean)? Oh, right. Reaper tech. From conventional FTL and its "safety protocols" to the citadel, it's all reaper tech and it's all easy to use.

"...By using it,  your society develops along the paths we desire."

Thoughts?

Perfect timing! Posted Image
