What was with that old Krogan in ME2 on Omega. Didn't he serve Aria or work with her or something?Hrothdane wrote...
Because Omega is coming up, I decided to finally do some research into arias to see if one of them contains a connection to Aria T'loak.
Another connection is to the famous Toreador's Song from Carmen, another aria. Aria herself wears a toreador jacket. You could even say that bull-tamer is a good figurative description for someone that "tamed" krogan. Krogan are quite famous for charging people at a moment's notice after all
I have a feeling that her last name must have some relation to the allusion the writers were trying to make, but I have yet to find a connection.
Edit: I can't remember the exact circumstance; I just remember a side mission with a particular Krogan on Omega. It comes with the Toreador allusion, if I'm not mistaken.

Writers often giver meaning and purpose to names of places, characters of items, and the writers of ME are no different. That Aria one is subtle and really cool. A couple of my favorites are the obvious ones: Shepard and Harbinger.
Well, the Shepard thing is becoming a bad cliche. John and Jane are generic.

The best connection I've found so far is to Mozart's The Magic Flute. The parallel that strikes me the most is that the Queen (if you are feeling dramatic) of Night asks the protagonist to rescue something of hers, her daughter in this case. The protagonist finds out during the rescue that the Queen of NIght is the actual villain. The Queen of Night has a famous aria with a name that translates to something like "Hell's Vengeance Boils in My Heart" which she sings to her daughter.
Another connection is to the famous Toreador's Song from Carmen, another aria. Aria herself wears a toreador jacket. You could even say that bull-tamer is a good figurative description for someone that "tamed" krogan. Krogan are quite famous for charging people at a moment's notice after all

wow, that's some really great connections you have there.
Thank you.
I forgot to add that it seems likely to me that such connection were intentional, considering that the BioWare writers have already shown via some of the mission names and Ashley's poetry quotes that one or more people on their writing staff has a love of so-called high culture.

Harbinger is waiting for Shepard on Omega. When Shepard is about to win Harbinger will unleash is plan, and Shepard will have to make a chocie. Save Omega, or save Aria and her fleet.
Or Either the star system, or Omega.
You see Harbinger will Destroy the Omega four relay, or he will Destroy Omega. What you will choice is up to you.
Harbinger: " Prepare yourselfs for the arrival."

It appears to have been chosen because
1. It IS generic. Shepard IS generic until the player molds him/her into something unique.
2. The allusion to Alan Shepard, which has been confirmed as being intentional.
3. Perhaps a biblical allusion, as BioWare had some not-so-subtle parallels to Jesus and some religious name allusions in ME2.

I'm not even saying Omega has been moved to the galactic core...
I'm saying it is one possibility...
We don't know what it takes to move Omega...masster blaster wrote...
Actually if Omega was moved into the heart of the galaxy, then who did it. Can't be Cerberus because it would take hundreds of fleets to move Omega.

You should keep trying to upload a custom one. Sorry I wasn't much help last time. Did you try doing the whole thing over? Did you make your custom picture the proper size?401 Kill wrote...
Tell me about it, I sent my custom avatars to my online profile a week ago, and it still hasn't worked yet. So I synced ME2 up to my account instead today, and found this great photo. I think its better than the other one that I previously had (though, not better than the custom one that I want).BatmanTurian wrote...
I got sick of the generic garrus one I had and that pic uploading trick never seems to work for me.

Yeah, but relays cant transport themselves, so it had to have gone through one.

Though relay was a probable mode...
FTL would have taken too long. Unless it can transport itself by itself...
Relay more likely...
Is there a Mass limit on what a Relay can transport?

I dont know.
It always kind of bugged me that no one was ever surprised that the Citadel could be moved. Everyone acted like that was common knowledge. They were surpised that it had been moved, but not that it could be moved.

If they're shocked and say "It's been moved!?!" you don't really need them to say "I didn't even know that was possible!"
If they're shocked that it had been moved, it's pretty much implied...

You can tow a space station through a relay. It's not like towing an entire planet.

I don't know. Remember the asteroid in Arrival? It was much smaller than the Citadel and it wasn't trasnported. (Yes, I know size has nothing to do with mass.) Though, that is probably because the asteroid didn't calculate its mass right.BatmanTurian wrote...
