I've never actually seen that picture.

Its utterly ridiculous. Reapers scurrying around like bugs to fix the relay? <_<

Isnt it also basically BioWare straight up ripping off fan art of the control ending?

" Hey guys, how do we put this on again? "

" I don't know. Where are the instructions?"

" Phil, where did you put the instructions?"

" Oh... I left them in dark space. Sorry."

" You idiot."

" Well, it's not like I thought they'd win. This is bullsh*t, man"

Also - some interesting things i found in Arrival's description - - When you ask about the logistics of the project, i.e. crashing an asteroid into a Mass Relay, Kenson will say that it isn’t that hard as the parts are already available in Omega’s salvage yards. All it needs is thrust and guidance and if you get the right amount of power, and a decent VI to drive it, then all you really have to do is point and shoot.-  If Shepard asks how she was arrested, Kenson will say that they have been smuggling starship parts from Omega. Apparently guidance systems, thrusters, and an aftermarket Eezo core are labeled by the batarians as suspicious. Kenson will finish by saying that a few days ago, she took a few of the men on a scouting mission, and the batarians then pounced on them, but they didn’t find the actual base.

So... It is as i said - the war can be won just throuwing asteroids at reapers and the relays! And the equipment to make this possible is aplenty at Omega!
Moreover all those thing specifically were labeled suspicious by batarian government (which we know to be under reaper control by this point!)
I knew it was important! We take back omega - and we've got ourselves a start at making an arsenal of projectile asteroids to kill all the reapers!! Omega can taw them in and install all the needed equipment! EDI is much better than some VI, but even Shepard VI would do as a targeting system! And the crucible could be used as a great power source! - here - they ultimate weapon to kill all the reapers!

Conventional victory ahoy.

We haven't yet threw an asteroid into something in ME3, and it is kind of a ME tradition! I want it! I want ot throw an asteroid at the citadel! (face it, if we get rid of the reapers, the citadel and the mass relays will have to go. )

Not really. The reapers would be dead. Who cares at that point?

Sadly, the Reapers, are not the giant cuttlefish spaceships. The reapers are an idea. And while the technology that suggests that idea exist - they exist.

It is unknown whether you could be indoctrinated if the reapers no longer existed. My guess (and headcanon) is no. You can't convince someone to follow a doctine that doesn't exist. Indoctrination works by convincing you to become passive towards the reapers.

Rana.

Likely indoctrinated by Sovereign.

Still messed up in ME3. Dead.

It's not just passive towards the Reapers btw.

If IT is true, there are multiple paths to take you down the direction of the Reapers, even if no specific will is guiding you.
-Control = We'll use Reaper Tech or advance in that path, because 'somehow we're immune to its negatives'
-Synthesis = REAPER GOOD <3. MERGE WITH TECH NOT UGLY OR EVIL, IT GOOOD <3
-Refuse? = That's the passive you're talking about. It isn't the same as Control or Synthesis

I didn't actually mean your attitude would be passive. I mean you would be effectively passive. Like TIM. He thinks he's going to beat the reapers. His attitude isn't passive, but he is being effectively passive toward the reapers. Make sense?

Personally I find it beautiful. Everything worked out with no negative consequences despite the person picking the decision they just argued against and possibly even killed a guy over. Not quite as beautiful as synthesis, but still pretty high up there on the chart.

Just the fact that Harbinger is made up of potentially Billions of Leviathans, a species of which one can completely dominate the mind of any of our civilization's organics, makes it laughable that anything could control him.

Interesting! In this recording of priority earth, that i'm watching.. at 1.03.09 - Illusive man is about to shoot himself - and he raises his gun to his head, wobbling it a bit first - then it cuts to shepard looking at him - and she does the exact same thing with her gun!! 1.03.11   - that is a change brought in with the EC! It was not like that in the original.

That IS interesting... and quite disturbing...

Very weird! And Shepard lowers her gun as if she shot him herself. It all makes so much sense if it was in Shepard's mind...

Commander, that's like trying to tame a shark, somebody's going to end up dead. In this case, it's going to be the whole galaxy.

Can anyone find a video of that conversation? I can't... Posted Image

Yeah I know man. Did you see that one thread made by xil about new Harbinger quotes for paragon control? It was a completely serious thread where he said Harbinger will become a good guy and start saying things like "You've rebelled against the many, now suffer the consequences." It was kind of funny but at the same time really made me hope I never meet someone that ignorant in real life.

I believe people came to the conclusion that it was nothing. However, I did make a post that seemed to get lost in the shuffle. In every variation of the Illusive Man - Anderson confrontation that has some form of a gun shot, you can clearly see the gun fire. However, in the paragon reputation option where you talk Illusive Man down into shooting himself, the gun does not fire.

Edit: At first I thought this might be for purposes to make the scene seem less graphic than it really is. However, I just watched the mass effect 1 version where Saren shoots himself and you can clearly see the gun fire, even blood squrt out of him lol.

Wow, after watching that scene with TIM again I realise that the cinematics team really took liberties with 180 degree rule. They did the same with the decision chamber to an extent, nowhere near as extreme though. No wonder the whole scene feels so surreal. No better way to screw with peoples heads than to skew their perception of distance and orientation.

You're right.

The whole scene is surreal as hell...
The characters jump all over the place, The Illusive Man turns around twice at the beginning, Anderson falls to the ground twice at the end, Anderson breaks the fourth wall, etc...

That's beside the whispers, oily screen tendrils, time dilated reaper noises, I need you to believe, etc...

It's so obvious now... I can't believe people think this is baseless...

I didn't actually notice TIM turning around twice. I noticed Anderson though.

" I never worked with so many black boxes Shepard." What was in them I don't know.

Just so we're on the same page here, "black box" doesn't literally mean a black box that you put stuff in...
Black Box is typically a term for something where you know what you're supposed to do with it, but you can't really examine how it functions...

In other words, a lot of the Lazarus project was on a need to know basis. People were kept in the dark beyond what was absolutely required...

And here we disagree. I don't care if it's indoctrination and all of the awesome things included with that if this is how it ends. Posted Image

It is baseless but makes more sense than "Hey, let's end our flagship franchise on a cliffhanger that will never be resolved!"
