No closure for Shepard by the end of the DLC cycle = Mass Effect series dead for me.

I'm already hesitant about DA3 because of how crap DA2 was, now it seems another Bioware series is going to be added to my 'ignore the hype, don't pre-order/buy' list. A game without Shepard in it doesn't really interest me but that’s more because that most likely means all the other characters we love won’t be in it either. A Mass Effect game with no Garrus, Tali, Joker etc, doesn't really sound like a Mass Effect game I'd like. I play for the characters, not the setting.

It's just like the EC, Leviathan, and every other Bioware comment... We really need to lighten up here sometimes - myself included.

That looks pretty official to me. They wouldn't make an announcement like that if they weren't planning on doing that, and if Casey and Mac confirm it, I will hate this. Are they trolling? Are they purposely ruining the series? Or do they legitimately think that this is a good idea? Anyway you look at it it's just stupid.

Huh, now that you mention it... Harby DOES have yellow eyes, and he DOES always appear in a yellow hologram.

Oh Thane fighting Kai Leng to stop Cerberus. Oh wait in Control they were right after all, why couldn't I join Cerberus during ME3's beginning. Death pointless. Hell alot of deaths are pointless in ME3, and ME1/ME2. I could same more about Destroy, and refuse, but that's if you take things literaly, yet IT I hope is true.

Well said MB, well said. Basically, the literal ending means the series was pointless. All of it. That's no way to end a story. That's not even a story.

I don't really know what to believe to be honest. They said no abc endings, but we got abc endings, and now d ending. They said no Reaper off swith, but we got Destroy off switch. So I don't know if they will be no Shepard, or Shepard at all in ME4. They were also very clear that we wouldn't get ABC endings. Yet we did.

Well, one thing is for sure. It will be interesting this time around. No one will believe BW for all of the stuff they said before ME3. And I doubt there will be many pre-orders. EA loves pre-orders. Everyone is going to wait for reviews before buying any other ME game. I probably will too (yes, I know reviews suck).

I dont know why people are freaking out so much about them saying there wont be any Shepard in ME4.

They've said that since before ME3 even came out, and people are acting like somehow this is shocking news.
