He's not a reaper downloaded into human body. He's just some neraly killed reaper that is rebuilding himself, and in the process he, while he isn't a complete reaper assimilated Jack Harper into his identity - and liked being a human. Possiblby that is entity that was the darelict reaper - He ddecided to change his body and become something new.

Is this really demersel? For real? First off the spelling and punctuation is totally off. Second...demersel doesn't just make crazy "theories" out of nowhere without substantial proof. He does sometimes makes radical ideas but not this radical.

I'm... Pretty sure this is Demersel.

I haven't been on BSN in a while. So...I could be wrong.

First off he might be on to something. My twist on his idea is that TIM is real and a reaper is downloaded into his mind from meeting the artifact (the one that changed his eyes). You know what that download is called? Indoctrination. He is just saying the same thing but in different terms/words. (Am I touching upon the idea or am I just totally wrong??)

That is exactly what i am saying. With an addition, that by the time of ME3 at least, And maybe even ME2 TIM is not actually a human anymore - he used to be in jack Haraper, AND he liked being Jack Harper, being a human. - by the time of ME3/possibly ME3 he dosn't have a physical body anymore. And possibly that human reaper we found at cerberus base is NOT the same one we destroyed at collector base, but rather the one that cerberus was building - and he is the real illusive man. (maybe it is the same and they just salvaget it, but still by the start of ME3 he already downloaded into it)

So then these cigarette butts near the human Reaper have been there for a few months. It's a crazy cool idea, but I don't think it's credible.

However, it wouldn't surprise me if Cerberus were trying to build their own Reaper on Omega.

On the airlock in the Normandy it says 8-M-8. Similar to the tall object at the end which says 1M1. Significant? Heading to Earth now

Ok, this is me. Spelling is of, cause i'm excited, and because I have to type really fast. Truth or not, i think that story would be rather cool. The only real difference is that TIM is not an indoctrinated human, but rather a mind of an actual reaper, that is trying to rebuild itself, AND in the process liked being a human. That reaper is cross with harbinger for some reason, like a struggle for control over reaper - He wan'ts to be in charge instead of Harbinger. And he wants to make humans new template for the reapers since he liked being one so much. It is a nice story. He's still a villian, still a monster, but it really explains a lot about him, and a lot starts to make sense. Like all the cerberus resources - he's a reaper - he can make anyone do anything he wants. all his knowledge about reapers - he is one - and knows it from the source. Etc.

Wow, I actually speculated that like 20 pages ago and thought that might be the reason Omega needs to be blown up or that might be why it was towed to the galactic core through the Omega relay, which TIM has IFF's for.

Also might mean collectors and Harbinger would get involved.

Ladies and Gentlemen,
the results for the seventh poll are out. The list has been updated and I would like to encourage you to participate at the eigth poll and my long-time survey about your choice at your first playthrough. Spread the word!

If you ask yourself why I changed my avatar, I have to say that this thread lacked a certain classiness, although there are people here with nice avatars aswell (Home Run, Badger, TSA, Otter and even Xil to name a few). Since there was no Illusive Man in this thread I thought that I may fill that role.

you know I didn't put a lot of thought in this but the guy you salute in my game looks eerily similar to my Shepard. Did this happen with anyone else that the saluting guy looks similar to how you designed your Shepard?

Heh, this happened to me in Dragon Age 2.
There was this one brief cutscene, where Hawke interacted with a character who was a dead ringer for my warden from DA:O. This character never spoke - just sneaked about suspiciously until addressed, got what seemed like a pointed lingering camera shot and then scurried off to deliver a message on Hawke's behaft.

A youtube video confirmed that it was no more than a coincidence, alas. :)

Interesting idea. A lot more than I have on why TIM acts the way he does. However I will hold my judgement until Omega comes out and spills the beans on Cerberus. :P

Wow the thread about the ambient noise on the Normandy is interesting (the posts from earlier). Will try to look for it later

The Normandy is definitely off in this game, I mean the child laughing or crying in the background, the strange humming in the engineering and shuttle bay, there was nothing like this in ME 1 or 2.

A more serious idea: What if the reapers governed by consensus like the geth, and the crucible allowed for entry into the reaper consensus to destroy them from within?

I seriously give you the following advice:
Collect your thoughts on your topic, look for evidence and supporting proof and create a more elaborated post/thread and let others comment on what you have come up with.
Right now it is kind of random and I think to organize what you think is happening would be the wisest thing to do.
You could create some kind of sub-theory and see what others think of it.

I'm not either, but it seems like a very real possibility and a good reason why he might be keeping Shepard in the dark about his plans. He knows Shep would freak.

" Commander Shepard. Just so we're clear, I'm building another Human Reaper to fight the Reapers. "
" What? Shep smash! "
