I think that Omega and the Crucible work in conjunction, like poles in a battery, they make "current" flow.401 Kill wrote...

I'm almost certain we'll get to know more about the Crucible's purpose and it's connection to Omega in the upcoming DLC.

The more stuff you play, read, watch, etc. your aresnal of knowledge grows as well. ITers have armed ourselves with much information. The ending is designed for people who pay attention.magnetite wrote...
So I finished reading Retribution at around 4:30 this afternoon. I really enjoyed it, and it does provide me with some deeper insight on Reaper indoctrination and the ending stuff.

You admittedly hate IT. You consider a compromise to be us agreeing to some theory you've created that you acknowledge not even believing in.
Heres a compromise for you:
Believe whatever you want and let us believe whatever we want.

And herein lies the real problem Seival fails to acknowledge, everyone wants to be right and wants to one-up the other for the sake of saying "I told you so", EVEN if it means that a game would be reduced to poor writing/lore breaking choices or that the company would die because YES people actually do take this habit that far.spotlessvoid wrote...

Sure. This is were we are right now...
...But this is called postponing the solution. And I think it can't end well. Too many examples in RL when postponing doesn't end well. I really don't want to see new waves of hate and holy wars (both on BSN and out of it) each time new ME3 patch or DLC comes out. We all know that most of holy wars are about conventional victory and IT. Only these two topics cause all the trouble in fact.
...This is just my opinion of course, but time will tell if I was right or not.

That's the point...
You guys are indoctrinated...
And you are blissfully unaware of it...
You're supposed to be all "No! I'm in Control! Nobody is telling me what to do!"
And we're all supposed to be like "Listen to yourself! You're indoctrinated!"

I'm on top! (No, that's not the solution. Not yet anyway!)
Also I just remembered:
Guardian: "The fact that you are standing here, the first organic ever, proofs it, but it also proofs my solution wont work anymore."
Shep: "So now what?"
Low EMS Guardian: "That depends on you."
High EMS Guaridan: "We find a new solution."
It's interesting how in low EMS it depends on Shepard as in did he destroy the Collector base or not, and how "we find a new solution" in that context maybe not just refers to the Guardian and the Reapers but Shep included.

Awesome, I've got MB and BT speculating with me!
So what exactly is the crucible? Is it a real Super Weapon? Maybe it's only function is to get Shepard to walk into the beam.
They've been setting this up all along
" The ****'s chess, it ain't checkers!"
Of course, if the crucible isn't a super weapon...how the hell do we beat the Reapers?
I think that facility near Rio is building something that could save us, or at least give us an edge. You know how everyone's always saying we can't build our own mass relays? And how still using them is developing along the paths the Reapers desire? And how at the end of ME1 we use a secret non-Reaper relay to get into the Citadel? Yeah...
