"Bioware" mostly meaning a couple of community managers. What I want to hear, is Casey Hudson (and or Mac Walters) come out and defend their "artistic vision". I want to hear from the almost totally silent writers. I want an end, once and for all.

Hudson did issue one statement waaaay waaay back in what seemed like the 5th century BC.

They wanted the ending to be open to interpretation as well as to keep people talking. Mac wanted 'speculations for everyone. To them, every interpretation is valid.

They only thing bioware has vehemently denied is more post-ending DLC and now Shepard in ME4.

Yoy know what I want? I want ME4 to come out so we can see how many of the pre-release comments turn out to be false. I imagine a lot of people will be waiting for reviews before buying the next ME game...

Yep, and now there's a rumor DA3 won't have a save-import

Woot? And what decides if Sister Nightingale is dead or alive?

Just to add to the ‘whereabouts in London is the final mission taking place’ discussion from yesterday, last night Megumi and I came up with a rough area of where the beam could be.

Posted Image

As we can see here in this cinematic the beam isn’t too far away from the river Thames and according to the names of the files to do with the London level part of it takes place in and around Oxford Circus, my guess would be the FOB.

As you can see here in this map we start off by Big Ben then we make our way to Oxford Circus/FOB and then to the beam which Megumi and I think could be somewhere within the area circled in red. However since to the best of my knowledge there’s no real way of knowing in game where the Beam run takes place, as there’s no landmarks of any kind to go by, this is all pure 100% speculation. Personally I think it’s where Buckingham Palace is/was, which led to me finding something interesting but most likely coincidental.

Look at the Palace from above, see anything familiar? Two paths branching off from a central focal point…like the decision chamber.

Posted Image

Like I said, probably a coincidence. However, if we’re right about where the beam is I find it interesting that it’s placed pretty much right next to where the UK’s government/military HQ is.

Also just to add, the detail they put into the London cinematics is actually quite incredible, even down to the details on some of the bridges, it’s all right.

Hey! Remember one of the prerelease clues was a link to the website for MI5? Is this anywhere close to where it's headquartered?

Sort of. The MI5 HQ is nearby, it's pretty much just down the road from Big Ben so it's near the area we're talking about.

The answer is "Bad Writing".
Or IT?

I'm more inclined to believe the former than the latter.

Bad writing makes less sense than the starkid's logic...

If the only alternative is the IT being true, then I suppose that bad writing wins for me.

Why? There is infinitely more evidence for IT. I am an evidence person.

That depends on how you view it. Ingame evidence dictates that you're right. However, if viewed from another perspective, those things may just as well appear as bad writing to other people, or inconsistency in the story.
However, BioWare's response to the IT has made it pretty clear. For me, at least.

"Bioware" mostly meaning a couple of community managers. What I want to hear, is Casey Hudson (and or Mac Walters) come out and defend their "artistic vision". I want to hear from the almost totally silent writers. I want an end, once and for all.

Those two guys have largely been in hiding ever since the ending. Good luck getting them to say anything. They probably don't even give a damn about the IT.

Well of course not if it wasn't their intention. If it was, you can bet they care about it a lot. I hope literal is wrong just because synthesis is an appauling crime.

If it wasn't, I seriously doubt their ability to write even the simplest of stories. (Unless of course they go with "The Puzzle Theory", they do claim to take ideas from fans right:lol:?

Currently on Grissom Academy. Interesting datapad I guess. Why indoctrinate Shepard? As if we don't know already but...

Vital retrieval subject due to high-level biotic abilities paired with high leadership testing scores. Considered prime candidate for indoctrination and high-level enhancements for subsequent long-term infiltration relocation.

Saren/TIM's implants anyone?

Btw is it just me or are the 3 huge structures around the beam 3 Reapers who dug in? If yes it's like "Indoctrination for everyone!" 8D

Possibly.  Gotta love how the characters are just staring at the beam as though in a trance in this picture.

Assuming you're not joking.

Those outer spikes are pretty high.
If those are indeed Reaper capital ships then it's not the Sovereign class ones we've seen. Any Reapers from the end sequence of ME2 that have huuuge ass backs? Either there are Reapers who can extend their back (the Destroyer in London got massive gun on it, so it's possible).

But I think it wouldn't be a too big of a deal for the Reapers to just build that thing. After all, it could have the purpose of luring Shep there. That's a goal that's probably worth such an investment. :D

No I was not joking. Also think about it. Sovereign was about 2km in length, compare that to the Empire State Building which is merely 381m (or 443.2m if you add the tip), the WTC was 417/415m (or 526.7m) and the fin that is what we see here is about 1/3 of the Reapers size.
You could only argue that there are 3 smaller ones that look identical, though I agree I would just say they are downscaled.

Or perhaps they are examples of the "missing" Reaper types seen at the end of Mass Effect 2 but seemingly not in Mass Effect 3.  In particular, the connical one on the far left in the picture with Harbinger waking up the fleet.

They did say, a while back, that one of their focuses for DA3 was making decisions have an effect in a meaningful way, both past and present, within the game world. To me, that says they're involving save-import of some sort at the very least.

I seem to "vaguely" remember the phrase "they gave us the same crap with sprinkles on it". After experiencing the real ending, the EC just seems insulting:sick: to be honest. Multiple months for a picture montage, yeah right.

Oh yeah, I can totally see how much they cared about the fans' demands after experiencing the game myself.

Has it ever ocurred to you that both Casey and Walters aren't good writers? I mean, the main storyline (AKA the crucible plot) totally gave that away.

Because the people who are satisfied don't need to go ahead and **** and moan about it.
The people who raged about the ending already were a minority in itself. A majority of the hardcore fanbase yes, but in a total perspective still a minority.
Along comes the EC. Many, probably most, are now satisfied with the endings, those that are easily pacified. The smart ones, those that see what kinda bullcrap the EC actually is, of course keeep on ranting, and naturally, they're louder than those that are satisfied. The minority within the the minority is still unsatisfied, and rightfully so.
