When all the DLC is released and we still have the ending were Shepard takes 'The Breath' and then it ends...

It would just be plain ass lame.

We'd probably spent tons of hours in 'our' Shepard, just to end it like that? It's all ok for being a 'Cliffhanger' but if it's 'our' real ending then it's the worst ending off all time.

It's like the writers said, well... Time's up, just let him take a breath and let de player 'imagine' how it ends.

**** me.

Personally, I wouldn't be fan raging as long as all DLC pretty much 80-90% confirms IT without the exact confirmation words from the devs/overt plot, and we get enough details to have a good idea of how the story can continue, even if its not exactly shown yet (until ME4?)

However, no preorder, and possibly no purchase of a future game, becuase they still did not FULFILL THEIR STATEMENTS about ME3 and its endings.

If remember correctly - there was some crucible war asset that basicly was a virtula reality operator's interface...

Indeed, no pre-order for me. I did recently buy some extra DLC since I had some spare cash and fancied something new. But no pre-order, I will wait until I hear from the fanbase.

Shouldn't take long, the internet was practically on fire within three days of launch of ME3!

Well they need to end this properly, because if we get stuck with the 'breath' ending of destroy, i see no point of entry for ME4?

Because if i'm correct, they said that in ME4 there will be no more Shepard or Shepard 2.0.
Or would they pull an Deus Ex - Invisible War on us and you'd meet Shepard at the ending of ME4?

They just need to give us closure on ME3 before we even want to play ME4, right?

I can image that Shepard will play some part in ME4, reminders of his great sacrifices and accomplishments.
Maybe you'd even find that little box Liara made for Shepard in ME3..

Tons of possibilities, but they have to end ME3 properly.

A guaranteed way to sell ME4 would be to say "Hey, we're done with Sheaprd, but he'll still be in the game and we'll explain what happened to him! Bring your save file!"

I'll put all my hope and trust in the upcoming DLC, those will destroy or save this series.

I've got some more info in the Predator/Carnifex switch, but first, I'm going to compare the gun symbology to the same thing in one of my favourite movies: The Bourne Ultimatum.

Contains spoilers (obviously).

Near the end of the film, Jason Bourne confronts the head of the CIA program that he used to be a part of. As someone familiar with firearms, I notice the smallest errors relating to them. This is not a small error, it's very obvious. Actually, I've since figured out it's not an error at all!

Bourne's signature gun, and the gun he carries throughout the final sequence of the movie, is a SIG Pro, while the gun he uses in the flashback of first commiting to the program is a Glock 17.

As seen in the clip, when he first points his gun at Dr. Hirsch it's a SIG Pro, but in the very next shot, when it's up to his head, it's a G17. Then we enter the flashback of him shooting the unknown man to prove he's willing to do whatever they ask. He uses a G17. As soon as he does, Hirsch says he's "no longer David Webb" (his real name).

The clip ends there, and I was unable to find the rest of the scene, but the very next thing we see is back in the present, with Hirsch still at gun point, but then Bourne says "I'm no longer Jason Bourne", and the gun is now back to the SIG Pro again, like it really is.

Even if you haven't seen the movie, you can understand the symbology (I hope).

This is exactly the same as the Predator/Carnifex symbology in Destroy, and we have proved beyond a doubt that it was intentional.

Two more interesting things I discovered about that: One is that in the flashforward of Anderson shooting the Destroy tube, he has a Predator the entire time! That makes perfect sense, as he represents the part of your mind that is not tainted by indoctrination.

The other thing is really cool. The Banner for Solo Mastery, the one with broken-armoured Shepard walking away from the beam, the one that's already interesting with just that, you know what gun Shep's holding? You have to look carefully, but there's no doubt it's a Predator!

I think that this Banner, along with the Reaper Mastery one, that has a Harbinger hologram in the dream Citadel hallway, should be the official Banners of IT Posted Image

Nice.  I've seen the movie and never noticed, that's some awesome subtle cinematography there.

And I totally agree, its fits perfectly.

As a side note, I'm wondering how ME4 is going to tie into ME3 without Shepard.  Considering the whole 'we didn't have to worry about divergent storylines in ME3 since it was the end of the trilogy' comments...  I really have to wonder what they are planning.

That is all awesome but what about the fact that in the Anderson/Tim confrontation TIM is the one that has the predator? What if it is all reversed? What if in fact it is anderson woh represents the indoctrinated part of the brain? (since he could be very indoctrinated for real in priority earth?)

While he could turn out to be indoctrinated, yes, this is the Anderson from Shepard's mind, and Shepard's projection of Anderson most certainly is not. As for TIM having the Predator, it's because ideally he shoots himself with it. The Predator has always been the indoc-breaking gun

-Saren, even though he had the Spectre Carnifex on Eden Prime, breaks indoc with one
-Fai Dan
-Dream TIM
-Freeing the Rachni Queen from the Reapers in ME3
-Every time you point your gun at TIM's hologram in ME3 (lol)
-Every time you fight Kai Leng in ME3
-The soldier added in EC who headshots all the husks, which to me represents Shep fighting indoc
-Shepard in Destroy

I know I'm missing other examples, but the point is that Elanus Risk Control should market the M3 Predator as a gun capable of breaking indoctrination Posted Image

On a non-IT note, I just watched the EC Destroy ending again, and wow, the Krogan have weird weapons Posted Image The Asari all have Avengers, while one has a Paladin, which isn't too weird. But the Krogan Posted Image, one has an Eviscerator (Cerberus!), one has a Crusader (N7!), one has a Chakram Launcher (!), two have Vindicators (MP Krogan), one an Avenger, and one a Graal, which is the only Krogan gun there Posted Image Doesn't really matter, just very odd.

TIM takes the gun FROM Anderson during the sequence where Shepard's ability to physically FIGHT TIM (who is indoctrinated) is removed from him/her. ^_^

The symbolism is great! Nice job!

What if there is a third force we don't know yet know about? We know about the reapers, we know about leviathans. But there is clearly somebody else at work. The artifacts that leviathans use to control their thralls - they are similiar to those spheres we think are prothean artifacts in ME1 and ME2 but only similiar - those are really quite different - they are perfectly round, and they can change size and mass. The VI on thessia said something about patterns repeating itself, and reapers being only the servants of the pattern - we assume he meant the AI that created the reapers and that later poses as the catalyst. But that could be wrong (in fact it is most likely wrong). So what are those patterns besides the reapers? We know there is the shadow broker, that has been part several cycles at least. (and that it is more of an idea, a role, then something physical. We know that spliner factions arguing for control are part of this pattern - and it is also more of an idea actually (in fact the illusive nman straight out says it). The reapers are really more of an idea. Sure, the have form, but they are born out of an idea.

I just noticed...
remember the image of the Geth Dreadnaught with the strange light I posted some time ago
Posted Image
Notice the brown/pink colors from the light, and the blue colors that are the regular colors on this mission on the deck above and below.
Now compare these with
Posted Image
It's the exact same color scheme.

Also finally uploaded the low EMS ending post EC as I couldn't find it here if you want to skip to the Guardian here

That's also the same light that we see Earth bathed in at the end, it never quite looked like normal sunlight to my eyes. The same light that some assumed was the presence of Harbinger.

I always thought Vendetta was talking about indoctrination itself. The Reapers being just as much a servant to it as any other indoctrinated being. Or Vendetta's full of crap. Or you're right. Who knows? Posted Image

I like the idea that indoctrination itself is actually the real force we're fighting, and that the reapers are more like pawns of this force that truly is unbeatable through conventional means.

Needless to say I'm looking forward to Omega.

Or it's just the foreshadowing most people don't want to accept. They say the Guardian has no foreshadowing whatsoever which is not true if you look at Vendetta, and now Leviathan. On the other hand the Beacon with Vendetta in it makes Reaper noise, and the motives of the Leviathans are unknown. Though that still doesn't remove the foreshadowing, it might have been some sort of Reaper plan all along. Maybe each cycle has some chosen one (again the Matrix reference), and this is their way to control that.

Ladies and Gentlemen,
the results for the eigth poll are out. The list has been updated and I would like to encourage you to participate at the ninth poll and my long-time survey about your choice at your first playthrough. Spread the word!
I also made another survey on a totally unrelated topic that still needs to be resolved.

And please think about a way to incorporate Anderson's behaviour in London and the datapad hinting that the beam is a huge con into one of the IT's Top Ten points. I'd also appreciate it, if you could provide me with links.

The pad says nothing as it's never stated what is meant specifically. It can be very well just a husk factory near the beam.

This kind of thing is the reason I love this thread. Even if the gun thing turns out to just be a glitch, I've learned something new about the world of movies. Great stuff.

Btw, consider your post of the lightning on the Geth Dreadnought and later on the Citadel as added to the list. I just have to finish work and I'll update the list.
The Citadel has not that many points and your's clearly is a bigger one that has to be on that list.
Edit: Guess why?
