]It wasn't the story in the mission that bothered me, it was more the construction of the levels you had to figt through. It seemed more like a chore to me than anything else.

In that case Leviathan was even worse - level design there is just plain terrible.

I don't think so.

Specifically the mission to get Ann, that one was annoying. If ever a mission dragged on waaaay longer than it should have, it was that one.

I can agree with you on that one. That mission was definitely overdone. Shepard was way too close to Ann from the beginning of that mission for it to take that much time.

I know she didn't die, but I heard she was appear in the game but got cut out like Kal'Reegar

But they could bring Kal back with a Palaven themed DLC

Oh, I didn't know that. That's really odd, actually, because her voice actress voices a lot of random people in ME3. Posted Image

Same with Harbinger's VA Posted Image, I hope they think about bringing her back and make a Palaven themed DLC

@estebanus I say scrap Allers period and give Tali a proper face

Arrival was pretty Meh for me too, but it did have its good moments with the Stealth type mission

And I would have liked more temperary squadmates in ME3

According to the original leaked script of ME3, you were actually supposed to have several missions with former squaddies and other people.

Yea I knew about that, thats one of things that annoyed me about ME3

And them getting rid of Kal'Reegar and Shiala too

Shiala didn't die. Though I do wish she was in the game. Why couldn't we romance Shiala? Or Kasumi? Or Samara? Posted Image Those are literally my top three Posted Image

Because not every single damn thing out there wants to spread their legs for Shepard. The only one I'd liked to have romance would be Shiala, because a possibly romance was foreshadowed mightily in ME2.

Then I vote we trade Allers, Ashley, and Jack for my three Posted Image

Samara alread turned you down, and a justicar tends to mean it when she says no, I reckon. Kasumi has never shown any form of romantic interest in Shepard whatsoever. She'd much rather go for Jacob. The only one that really would make sense would have to be Shiala.
So yeah, swap Allers for Shiala!

Silly Estebanus, I mean I wish they'd written them as romance options in ME2 Posted Image

So theoretically, let's say that you have the possibility to utterly destroy its logic and tell it how flawed and corrupted its very being is to the point where it essentially becomes a laughing stock, and get a destroy ending where only the reapers are killed, and the geth and the rest of the galaxy isn't effected by it at all. Not only that, but you get a reunion scene as well.
You'd still hate the ending and call it complete bullcrap and that everything about it sucks?

Sorry to butt in. What you describe above would be an improvement, but it still wouldn't address the fact that the last 30 mins of the game are just plain tedious to "play" and I use that word loosely as we may as well be sitting watching a non-interactive cutscene for most of it.

The game desperately needs a boss fight. There is no climax, no excitement, no catharsis. ME2 gets some stick for the baby reaper - but at least that was good, honest, dumb fun.

That's one of my main reasons for supporting the IT - the hope that it will actually lead to something that is actually enjoyable - which is why we bought this game in the first place.

Oh right Posted Image

That'd be cool.

Just as long as they don't give her Allers's face Posted Image

Funny thing is if IT wasn't their intention....

We are both making them look brilliant when they aren't and give them the most epic back handed compliment ever:
"We thought your ending was so retarded it wasn't even real."
Haha

I'm prepared to forgive goofyness when I'm having fun. And compared to Final Fantasy bosses it's positively restrained.

If IT wasn't their intention then this thread must be more humiliating for the writers that all the moaning threads put together.

I imagine Casey and Mac reading this through their fingers thinking "Why couldn't we come up with sh*t as good as this?"

Already the soundtrack makes this ending great. "Suicide Mission""The End Run", one of the best tracks of the trilogy.

edit: :pinched: Thanks for correcting, BleedingUranium.

Everyone thinks it's "Suicide Mission", but it's actually "The End Run".

"Suicide Mission" plays on the floating platforms while travelling to the Proto-Reaper, which is also really epic!

I think even a quick cutscene of Shepard being turned into a husk post synthesis and Garrus having to shoot him and then just dropping his rifle, heart broken, would have been powerful. Everything just falls apart and the crucible is destroyed.

Or an indoctrinated Shepard getting picked up then wreaking havoc. I have this image in my head of Shepard ordering joker to get close to the where the crucible docked, then walking into engineering, shooting everyone as Tali slowly raises her hands like "Shepard, what-" as he drops her too, before overloading the core and obliterating the Normandy and damaging the crucible beyond functioning.

Not that Arians script doesn't blow this idea away.

The soundtracks were never a problem within the Mass Effect series.

Together with Deus Ex and Deus Ex Human Revolution, one of the best soundtracks ever.

Both so good. If the Suicide Mission track played during high EMS Destroy instead of that God-awful, depressing piano music it might almost make it bearable.

Almost.

I really want something like this for Synthesis!
