I very much like James, as yes his character isn't fleshed out as it should but he's definitely not a meat head. He's often the comical relief character, yes, but that doesn't degrade him in any way, just talk to him some times, he's much more then Traynor or Steve.
Agreed. I don't get the hate for him. I find him quite drily amusing, The way he flirts with Steve is quite funny too.
His depth comes out when you chat with him on the citadel after the council in the start of the game. I never knew he was there in first playthroughs. Then one day I noticed and went to talk to him. I was surprised to see he was deeper than what I thought. That's when I started having conversations with him and even using him as a player. I use him in place of garrus most of the time now.
Can someone tell me about this James related DLC or whatever it was that has been mentioned in the last few pages? The only one I know about is omega which I am likely not getting since I don't think it will be anything other than one long fight akin to all those cerberus missions and they were okay enough because they were short but if they were any longer, I'd be bored to death since there was no gain of anytihng other than foiling Tim which changes nothing in the end anyway.

Maybe because it didn't actually explain anything and we don't yet know their plan at all?
Things that are part of their plan - mars archives, citadel coup, sanctuary - all as far as we know succeded. They also got some sort of deal with the salarians, namely the Dalatress, since they do some dirty work for her. (Sur-Kesh, tuchanka bomb) - but this work is payment. Payment for what? We don't yet know.
Eden Prime dig site - also is part of their plan.
Benning is very weird too. - we don't actually know what exactly happened there.
Plus there is Omega, that is not even touched upon yet.
Belive me, we haven't even started to see cerberus in action.
I seriously hope that in Omega we will finally be revealed TIM / Cerberus's intentions and plans. It is really bugging me...

Me too. I felt it was appropriate given what was about to happen and how Shepard just watched Anderson die and is about to end the nightmare. It was very moving. And the music after the crucible fires is perfect as well. Honestly, I found the music to be very fitting for most of the scenes or most of the scenes that had impact. Grunt's scene. Mordin's scene. Wrex and Eve's scene. We got some ME1 music. I liked that.

I too like James' character. I don;t think I will be going out of my way to see Paragon Lost but... still, I appreciate his addition. Admittedly, I really didn't like him in the begining.
I am still on the fence about Omega. I gave Leviathan a chance and was pleased but not... blown away. I liked the scenes that pertained to IT and the suspense throughout the missions. Bryson's lab was alright, just flash and fluff though.
I don;t know whether to come here (IT thread) or read reviews/watch Youtube to decide about Omega...

His intention was to control. He wanted power and reapers are a lot of power. I don't think there's going to be anything beyond that other than maybe why omega was relevant to him, which I suspect had to do with the relay and getting that protoreaper back. Omega's location was pretty key regarding that.
Honestly, I always felt he was connected to the collectors and getting shepard dead so he could have her alive again to help him get to the reapers. And I'm certain he sent a salvage team to get that dead reaper after the IFF run. That's where they got the tech from. I'm wondering if he somehow got connected with the reapers much sooner than we find out about the IFF mission and perhaps that derilict reaper went back to EDIs creation back around ME1 time frame given it has reaper tech. He always struck me as equal to Saren's level of indoctrination throughout ME2. But by ME3 he's more obsessed to the point of insane.

Considering we are making jokes about The Derelict Man theory, I would say that there are some things we do in fact find silly.
I--for one--find the speculation entertaining. I can entertain an idea without accepting it. Also, see my signature.

Oh, paragon lost. I misunderstood and thought it was a James related DLC. What is it? Is it a DLC? I'm totally lost on it. What is it?
I only like Leviathan because it gives me major war assets and some nice interaction from my LI which is Kaidan. he's great in that one. I get total nausea playing through the dig site with all the shaking of the screen. Truly. It screws with my vision. TOO MUCH. Overall, it was a bit on the boring side though the information gathered from leviathan was fascinating.
I don't believe they will ever fully acknowledge IT because of fear of response from those who are hardcore synthesis or control. And there are so many of them in this forum. I also wonder if it's one of those social experiments or just a thing they wanted to see if they could pull off without people getting it. If you pay attention and think about all the themes and various events you are dealing with in ME3, everything screams that when you meddle with the natural order it is disasterous and when you try to control things you shouldn't it is disasterous. It's all there in the Geth/Quarian story (control) and in the Genophage history (synthesis - meddling). But you have to think about it rather than just play the game going from point A to B to C. If you don't think about all the things you witness and have to fix and all the reaction of the characters (like the salarians that don't favor meddling anymore) you miss the foreshadows and warnings. But they are right in your face and you've known about them since ME1 but now you are cleaning up the messes first hand. Actually, I suppose the story should get a lot of credit for that if we're talking IT because theme wise it has a very strong IT element to it. But I find a lot of obvious stuff that fall into IT context when you realize that destroy is the only option that truly gaurantees the end of the reapers which was the goal from minute one of learning about them.

Anything really, that’s the beauty of conditionals. Say if you play it post Sanctuary, there could be conditionals within the DLC that flag this and so you get slightly different content in conversations than say someone who plays it post Rannoch.
