Shepard's in rubble in london. Never even made it to the beam because you're wearing your armor then suddenly not? That's way to questionable to ignore. I still don't know how control and synthesis people justify that one or do they just completely ignore it. It's screaming WTF?! Too jarring to ignore. It's like they shove it down your damn throat. Armor. No armor. Please tell me where the armor went? Did it magically get burned off leaving my casual wear completely fine? And my skin? No burns there either? Very very very strange. Like a dream. Yes. Dream strange.
After I'm hit with the beam. It's gone. It was there but then it's gone. And I'm in causuals I dont' even wear.
No. I'm in london and I get hit with the beam and then I have to do that half death march to the beam and my armor is gone. It's normal game stuff. Everyone has it. I'm in casual wear after that, the outfit from the opening scene. There's nothing buggy about it. It's normal game.
Someone help me here. I cannot be the only one that gets up after the beam hits and finds my armor is gone and I'm in normal casual wear holding a pistol dragging my butt to the beam.

Thanks. I might but I'm less likely to because of the LI situation with my own Shepard. Her lovelife has its own story which I will not dare bore you with in here. I was actually gonna make a thread about it before I'd realised there was a dedicated LI subforum. And now that's been closed, I dare not incur the wrath of the mods by opening one here....401 Kill wrote...
Cool Poll! You should make one like that but for LI's! (I am not pushing you to do this. This is only a suggestion if you ever feel like making a random poll.)Davik Kang wrote...
To get over the rather traumatic realisation that I may have inadvertently come up with a plausible idea in which Shepard actually killed herself to avoid being turned into a Reaper, I decided to cheer myself up by creating my first POLL! Vote now!

I can see it now. Shepard butt naked on the citadel.
Well, it would be incredibly uncomfortable to be only in underwear in heavy metal armor like that.

Your outer armor is melted down to a blackened core, which is what is melted. It's not the n7 armor, because the n7 at the end is Shep's dog tags. But more importantly, shepard survives a blast from harbinger that melts off his/her armor, but Shepard's face, hands, etc do not seem to be burned at all from something that should have melted Shep's face off.
I'm aware of all this, but thats not what starlite was saying.
Shepard doesn't go commando under a piece of armor. Shep would have to wear a uniform underneith. Not the fancy one but the camos.
Yes, this is what I'm saying. I don't have burns. I have some blood on my arms. I'm in my uniform from the opening scene. But the armor is magically gone because I'm in a dream or hallucination - ie indoctrination. No other reason my armor just vanishes. What's weird though is that in the nightmares, I am in my armor. Trying to remember it it's the armor I really wear. Don't think so. I think it's N7 but I wear blood dragon and cerberus white. So that might be a clue. Different clothes than you really wear in dream/nightmare or illusion state. Yep, that's probably a clue.

They're all connected. They go on to the afterlife together. The end bookends the beginning. The beginning Jack opens his eyes, the end Jack closes his eyes. It reveals Jack was always the true hero. Jack becomes the smoke monster, Hurley the new island caretaker until Walt is ready to take it on, and Ben as their helpers. pretty profound ending to me. Special effects are not so important.
Not to mention, that the final fight in the rain is pretty epic and badass and brutal.
There some awesome practical effects there.

OMG! Seriously? I wake up in the uniform without the armor. How do you not notice that. Armor is gone. Not in N7 uniform. Not in my blood dragon or cerberus which are the two I do play in. But now I'm in my uniform. My armor is gone. How do people not notice that?

you are both right. The n7 armor is there over the n7 uniform.
The POINT of this is that it gets melted off and Shepard survives temperatures that would do that. It's impossible that Shepard still has flesh on his bones that isn't seared.

People dont notice that because it doesnt happen. It is apparently a thing that only happened to you.
Go find any video of the conversation with TIM and Anderson, the conversation with godchild, or just of Shepard stumbling to the beam. She is wearing charred armor in all of them.

Exactly! There's some blood on the arms, but no burns. No major damage. Nothing until the maurader shoots the shoulder. Then in the citadel the shot to the gut which is anderson's shot to the gut.

Hey, if you want the breath scene and a Shepard who isn't a babbling idiot with permanent brain damage...better pay up lol!
Yeah. I was thinking about how the 3 choices apply in lots of situations. The simplest one is machines - if IRL they develop personalities and advance beyond us, how can we react? We can try to control them (allow them no rights) destroy them (to stop the problem in the first place) or become them (by becoming computer-like ourselves). It's a metaphor for how to deal with such a situation if it ever arose, and comes up in various sci-fi literature and films.Andromidius wrote...
I know this is only the bravado of a rogue AI on the Citadel, but its interesting none the less. I picked up on this during my last playthrough as well. From its perspective, the downtrodden tool that's seeking escape, that's how it sees organic motives - destroy or control.
But it applies to other things as well. The three choices can be seen to be available to resolve all kinds of conflict. War between nations, even evolutionary conflict - does the species destroy the problem, use it for its own ends, or adapt to the problem? It works in evolutionary terms too as well as in terms of other conflicts. Can be extended pretty far. It's pretty clever.
Yeah but like I said before, why does Shep still have the 'dream' clothes on in the Breath scene?starlitegirlx wrote...
So that's my proof. It's BIG proof. Because how does your armor get blown off you so perfectly? How? It doesn't. It just doesn't.

Its not the armor I wear either, but I'm willing to let it slide, since making a charred version of every bit of armor would have taken far too long.
