On fem shep it looks like the uniform she's wearing at the opening. Not even any armor that I can tell. Nothing but normal uniform.

On FemShep its pretty clearly charred plastic looking armor too.

look at her left arm. The armor is burned off to the folded cuffs of her cloth uniform.

Well, if that is armor, it's not my shep's armor. You think it would match or looks similar. You think she'd be burned. Those clothes are burned but nothing happened to her arms? How is that possible? Your clothes burn, you burn. Stop, drop, roll.

But that is not the armor my character wears and throughout the game, I am in the armor my character wears, but suddenly I'm in something that looks like N7. And reletively unscathed for someone whose armor was just burned off as if by fire.

Its not the armor I wear either, but I'm willing to let it slide, since making a charred version of every bit of armor would have taken far too long.

This is all beside the point. The point is that it melts off to some kind of underarmor and Shepard survives it at all.

Again, I can see that. Starlite was arguing that Shepard is suddenly wearing casual gear instead of charred armor, and you are arguing 'Well, it is pretty charred, and there is some signs of casual gear in there.'

While you're right, its completely beside the point.

You're seriously concerned about an arm which is flooded with blood where the armor can just have blistered and broke, but ignoring the perfect haircut? :3

Precisely. Your clothes burn, you burn. Stop. Drop. Roll. Basic fire safety. So shepard's armor is burned off and there are no burns that are noteworthy. Just some blood. Not even that much. How is that possible? I have to be in an illusion.

1)Your Hackett stuff is amazing. *clap clap*

Thanks, though I feel compelled to point out that the reason I put all that together in two evenings was because almost everything I looked at involving Hackett pointed to the same conclusion. It's one of the reasons why I think the ME writers are smarter than we're giving them credit for at the moment. And also why I think Omega will involve more reveals, but that they won't be things that aren't already in the game - they'll just be things we haven't noticed yet.

No... it is completely the point. The armor is MELTED and BLOWN off but Shepard just looks like he/she has been in a minor barfight, not shot by a laser that takes down dreadnoughts.

I watched 10 of those episodes earlier. They're great! Thanks for linking the original one!

I don't know Davik. Maybe the hallucination is on the citadel. Or maybe Shepards armor is damaged similarly to the dream irl. We don't see arms or face, maybe the wounds are more serious. Maybe the hallucination starts earlier and that's damage from elsewhere, like the shuttle crash. Maybe Shepard did survive a blast that reduced where he is to rublble, wearing broken armor and no shields.......

Maybe it's a Reaper disguised as Demersel wearing imitation burnt-rubber N7 gear.

JOKE, sorry dem, just a joke.  Was compelled to tell it... couldn't resist... by a ringing in my ears that wouldn't stop... and the voices, saying... go on... do it... it'll be funny... jump in the beam... it'll be hilarous... whoops i mean tell the joke... you know you want to...

I swear, sometimes I feel like I'm the only one who likes the LOST ending.

I absolutely loved LOST ending. Not that it would give you any comfort I'm afraid. :D

I liked it. But was disappointed too. I anticipated some profound revelations and spectacular special effects.

They're all connected. They go on to the afterlife together. The end bookends the beginning. The beginning Jack opens his eyes, the end Jack closes his eyes. It reveals Jack was always the true hero. Jack becomes the smoke monster, Hurley the new island caretaker until Walt is ready to take it on, and Ben as their helpers. pretty profound ending to me. Special effects are not so important.

I don't see anything profound about it but what I liked about LOST was that even though the ending was surprising (let's call it that way) the real pleasure was to watch the whole series, wait for the next episode to reveal what happens next, experience the mystery.

Agreed. Most of all, I liked the characters and how they interacted. Also all of the very clever foreshadowing and literary techniques.
