Read Revelation, it's interesting how it's stressed over and over how strange it is how smoothly a new race is adopted in the council. Interestingly uplifted races who had no exposure to tech of the last cycle aren't that smooth. Even Javik tells you that, they had the tech from the race before, made the Citadel their HQ, subjugated any other race. Now the Asari, Turians, and Salarians had the most and longest exposure that tech and again made the Citadel their HQ. Other races with enough exposure easily followed and joined the council, races with less exposure like humans are an exception and it doesn't go that smooth. Races like the Krogan or Rachni go to a longer war until they're nearly extinct. The interesting thing here is the Reapers interest in the Rachni, and Harbingers comment about Krogans "Sterilized race, wasted potential." while any other race with more much exposure is called out to be flawed by their very nature. Also Quarians were considered, and they are also not part of the Citadel anymore.
one problem. An advanced race such as the Salarians haven't been harvested at all. Their homeworld all the way up to the end is free of Reapers. So why not have a Salarian Reaper? What do the Reapers not see in the Salarians? They are the Apex of the citadel with the Asari and Turians. They have a vast knowledge base yet are not harvested

Where Shepard and Anderson are teleported is more like the underside of the Citadel tower's base ring, because the Crucible attaches to the ring and is directly above Shepard's head. It also looks totally different in that at the chasm, you see stuff that looks like the engines of the Shadow Broker's ship, and if you look back as you are walking over, you see what looks like blood or goo cascading down to some other location.

I'm saying the shape of the space is a memory and the citadel sequence is similar.

I think it's cool, and I think you might be on to something. Also, are you SURE it's a Reaper? 'Cause there are SO many other things it looks like.

It does look like a Reaper, but it has nothing to do with the end of ME3. The Reapers built the Citadel, so it would be their kind of humour to let that room look like a Reaper.

That is a map of the Presidium Tower in ME1. The top is where the lift is, the ring is where the fountain is, etc.

I think what he's trying to say is that it resembles the final sequence, i.e. the walk to the room with Anderson and TIM, then the decision chamber. Huh, just realized, taken together, that sequence looks like a Reaper.

Oh now I get it. The seat of galactic government is located in a room that looks like a Reaper! It just so happens that the "recreated" part of the Citadel looks like a Reaper...DoomsdayDevice wrote...

It's strangely cook that the map of the citadel from ME1 looks like the reaper in ME3. I wonder if that was intentional. We only saw sovereign twice in ME1 during liftoff on eden prime and when it was humping the pole or whatever you call it. I have to say that some of the images of these reapers are just comical to me. In ME1 at the end it looks like it's having sex with the pole. In ME3 in the opening scene it looks like it's urinating on everything. The reapers don't scare me at all because of this. They're cartoons to me. The ground forces actually concern me more.

I hope you don't think I was snarking. I thought you were referring to the tower side that points up toward the arms. The general shape is right, which makes sense since Shepard meets up with the Catalyst on the underside of the tower.
