A quick warning. Don't, whatever you do, look in this thread: social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/355/index/14671208. The stupid. It burns.

And I had to look.... now, I am scared that people defend the reapers and the abominations they create.

If indoc theory were valid and this is what Bioware wanted to do, then they're doing a really good job.

My reply.  I think it should crush any rational arguments, leaving only the ranting ramblings of the insane or deluded.

Nice!

The thread is titled: "The Reapers are Innocent"? Really?
Really?
Are you serious? Is this a joke?
*Bangs head against wall*

Nice reply Andromidius. Judging by the OP I think we could use this thread as evidence for IT, since it appears to contain real, live indoctrinated persons. Superstitious awe... check. Mental disintegration... check. Bizarre and illogical behaviour... check.

Rankincountry was right. I'm laughing up a storm right now reading that thread, but there's a sharp pain slowly forming in the middle of my head.

Question: ...Could you blame an internet forum for causing a brain tumor?

I don't see why not.  A woman was able to hold McDonald's responsible for her spilling a cup of coffee on herself in court, blaming an internet forum for a brain tumor is nothing.

It's also an argument against control. I went in there to study the tactics of my enemy to see if I could use them against him. All that happened was my IQ got permanently lowered just from proximity. It's worse than the first time I played WoW and unwittingly strolled into Goldshire.

It's like watching rats trying to run a maze and instead of going for the cheese, they go for a dead end every time and are satisfied that they are there and fall asleep.

Let me guess, Proudmore EU server?

Never ever ever go to Goldshire on that server.  Ever.

Or Silvermoon.

The Rachni Queen, Eve's gemstone, Liara's gift...

Take your pick. If you have none of them, you've done bad.

I still have no clue what Liara's gift was supposed to be. She said it was one of her memories or something, but it didnt look anything like a memory she would have had.

Even Shepard seemed confused afterwards.

Hm, can't remember noticing that (youtube videos, so possibly EMS dependent) the Liara=LI version has a red light in it, Liara=nonLI a blue light.
Also, Shepard's concerned/confused look vs. Liara's cold looks are odd and definitely contribute to the overall awkwardness of the London FOB.

I never had a red light, if this is true it's Paragon/Renegade related like the endings in ME1/ME2 where it shows the Planet/Sun.

Steamwheedle Cartel EU. I think Goldshire is universal though. Nekkid night elves dancing on the postbox and all.

@Unschuld, I was Alliance and it made me wish you could kill your own faction. Mind you, the Horde weren't any better off what with Barrens chat...

That can still be twisted to mean their flesh is used to fill out the Reaper. So, yes, they are preserved in their current form, their DNA and such. But they are not preserved as living things.

It's also entirely possible that the Guardian is lying. And if synthesis rewrites my DNA, how can I possibly be preserved in my current form?

Haha, it's like there's two rules for Goldshire:

1. Every server has one.
2. The one on your server is definitly the worst.

"The decisions you make in Mass Effect 2 could have dire ramifications in Mass Effect 3."

Yeah. Okay, helpful comments during loading screens. Short of a few squadmates, nothing really changes what happens in ME3 meaningfully. Oh what could have been...

If you chose to save the Collector Base, you get only Control in Low EMS ending.

This^^

Also, if you add synthetics to my genetics then that is not preservation of it. That is not its current form. Remember, the crew after all have these weird glowing patches on their faces. Looks like a bad synthetic rash.

I think actually just on general principal you could argue that changing people to be part synthetic is not the moral choice. It's forcing them to a change they did not ask for. And since you don't truly know how it will evolve, then you've pretty much just committed genocide by changing pure organics to organic/synthetics. That is the worst solution ever. Doing nothing would be preferable.
