what is it that Chris lied about?

'EC won't change the endings' it did.
'EC wont add new endings' it did.

This has been mentioned on this very page the last page already, are you even reading?

First paragraph (paraphrased): Endings are done, absolutely nothing is going to happen to them at all.

Second paragraph (paraphrased): There will be additional dialogue with the Catalyst regarding the upcoming DLC.

I've been gone for some time now! Still holding the line... I was quite aggravated with the EC when it came out. However, as mad and bitter as I still am about the ending... I still love the games... Oh well.

Still of course believe they should have done the IT... Firm believer in it.

Hold the line my friends.

Anger and name-calling solves nothing. Antagonizing the mods on their own forums accomplishes nothing. What we write on the internet will be here for anyone to see at any time, so don't post while angry. I would also rather not get the thread locked and inconvenience all the other people here.

Take it to another forum if you wish. If someone invites you over for dinner and the food tastes terrible, you wait until you leave to complain. Unless it's a really close friend, in which case you could probably get away with saying something.

Guys so what if he lies. We all lie to save the best things for last, and we do it to protect what we are protecting am I right. Also Chris likes IT and so do many other Bioware staff. We should not be mad a anyone, but Casey. He has not showen is face to any of use since ME3 came out, and he has the power to calm everyone down, and tell us what the hell happen. Everything that is happening is not EA's fault, but Casey, and Bioware it's self.

They could have gave us a heads up on what happened after a good portion of the players finished ME3, but they didn't.

Well I don't want Chris to come in here and close the IT thread down, so I will stop. But Bioware I want to tell you this.

The more time you keep the truth from us. The more the fans get angry and leave.

Like you wrote in ME3. You are going to have to chose the fans, our what you want. Chose the fans you are prased a hero.

Stay with your current path be seen as a trolling company that values little for their fans.

Either way if you continue the path you want. It's only going to get to the point, when nobody will care about ME, and that is all.

Sorry for acting like a troll, but you need to face reality and get out more on the threads, and get Casey to come out to the BSN, and let him see the damage the endings have caused us fans.

Indoc Theory is still being discussed?

I thought the update made it clear that they actually wanted that stuff to be the ending.

@ Raven. I did read the thread. Please, there's no need to be aggressive.

Before the EC, it was indeed said it would provide "clarity and closure", rather than change the ending. In my view they retconned details: eg Joker, squadmates disappearing, what happens to the relays. Of course these were important. But fundamentally, the conclusion is not changed. You still go up the conduit, talk to TIM, meet the catalyst, get subjected to his twisted rhetoric, and make three choices. Okay, you can now refuse to engage and get the thinnest fig leaf of a fourth ending.

The way the EC came about, to satisfy fans, it's not surprising that it may have evolved over time. I'm not sure I'd call Bioware liars, in the sense of "deliberately to deceive", over this.

The point that Chris is making about Leviathan, is fundamentally the endings will not change. You will still have the same sequence of events at the end, and the same choices. You will get new dialogue options, and it's not easy to guess where ("you would not know them") and the history of the catalyst/ beginning the cycle.

Calling him a liar over this is saying he is deceiving you. Worse, it's doing so without evidence, because unlike the EC, you can't find out whether what he said is true or not. Not yet.

I don't think he is lying. I don't see why he would. Bioware is managing expectations. They said straight away they're done with the ending, when introducing this DLC. I have no reason to disbelieve them.

I do think, however, they're planning to cash in on the uncertainty by releasing several pieces of DLC. If you were criticising them for making an ambiguous, unsatisfying ending, purely for commercial profit, I'd be more sympathetic.

Funny how they keep encouraging us to discuss it if it's completely wrong.

You know what's funny Bioware could have said Oh there will be no ME3 because many players would not like ME3, or the way we wrote it.

Okay really done with off topics, but they could have done this, as they did with the endings.

The EC is what it is. Did it do it for you, or did Bioware simply polish a turd? I want to thank Bioware for trying. I personally look at the whole ending as a hallucination. I gasp at the end, after refusing the starchild, and wake up to continue the fight. Where is the medigel??????????

Ok, then you probably didn't hear about when Chris also said IT was a "valid interpretation" of the ending and refused to move the IT thread to fan creations. His most recent statement just implies Bioware won't actually confirm IT either way with a new ending. Another mod has said that EC does not "confirm or deny" IT.

Obviously, taking that all at face value requires the assumption that Bioware always gives us good information regarding this game, which we know-for whatever reason--has not been the case in the past.

So, in short, we don't KNOW **** until Bioware actually puts the DLC in our figurative hands.

Some people here are acting like Shep and crew after Thessia, and are in need of Anderson to tell them to get themselves together!
