As for that guy who said Shepard can't be indoctrinated because the player controls Shepard, it got even better.

When he said that, I told him "They indoctrinate the player".

Upon which he replied with "Dude, it's just a videogame. Videogames can't do that. Reaper technology does that. OMG are you retarded?"

Were you there when my krogan died and it said starlitegirlx committed suicide. I was ballistic on that one. Krogans DO NOT commit suicide! It was reaper faction.

Yeah, I laughed but it was obviously a game bug and wasn't your fault.

It says that when you die because of walking into Ravager goo.

Forgive the narrow mindedness and bias of my last post, but didn't Bioware say they debunked the IT theory?
Some guy from another website told me they do while I was discussing the ending on that site.

They have done no such thing, anywhere.

What strikes me most about Shepard is that he isn't funny anymore. Renegade Shepard was hilarious in ME1 and ME2. I can't recall one laugh from Shepard in 3.

The best renegade Shepard line from ME2 (I like) is when Shepard sends the Volus(I am the Biotic God!) to his death by being ripped up by that Asari!

No such moment is even close in ME3.

"You're just yanking me around Mordin! Aren't you?"

Two perfect examples: Commander Shepard is such a jerk, Commander Shepard is still a jerk

They've said they won't confirm or deny it and it's as valid as taking the ending at face value, which I call the Face Value Theory, or FVT...

No! Shepard would never be Indoctrinated not by the Reapers, not by TIM
31%(12 votes)

Maybe indoctrinated after Shepard reached the Catalyst
5%(2 votes)

Definitely indoctrinated during Priority: Earth
3%(1 votes)

Definitely indoctrinated since the beam struck Shepard by Harbinger
15%(6 votes)

While I admit indoctrination is possible for someone, I think all of Priority Earth happened in reality including the ending
15%(6 votes)

Shepard slowly becoming Indoctrinated during ME 3 but not before
10%(4 votes)

Shepard indoctrinated to some degree since ME 2
15%(6 votes)

Shepard definitely indoctrinated since ME 1
3%(1 votes)

Other - if it just doesn't fit the obove 8 options comment down below
3%(1 votes)

While I get that the number of people who did vote out of the number of people who viewed (and probably said "IT again?  Will it ever die!!??")  *Thinks of a new poll* and eventually voted most voted for the top option

Swob, some guy from a website told him so, how much evidence do you need? You can't argue with the credibility of random people on the internet, IT is  finished.

Ummm, they said it is a valid interpretation.

This does not mean debunked.

Well, let's see what happens...

http://social.biowar...15/polls/41090/

I would love to create a poll where I can make the lines like how BioWare did the ending and get people to choose the wrong ooption.  Though I think I need to think that one through a bit.  It would be a bit of fun to do

Except that they then released leviathan which shows shepard indoctrinated or controlled, on his/her knees and that it is possible. Also leviathan states that the reapers perfected indoctrination over the millions of years so that they can create whole constructs like being in a holodeck of sorts. So with leviathan, it could use people from shepard's mind and communicate with them using them. Now make it more intense as leviathan said the reapers have done and you find yourself in a full on illusion/delusion/hallucination talking to an AI that happens to look like the boy we saw FIVE times previously in the game (taking images from your mind again here) and it's telling you about these options.

Also, there are mirror images from leviathan and the chamber. Shepard on his/her knees and leviathan tells him/her to breathe, IIRC. In the chamber with the choices the brat says wake up. But both times, you've got shepard on his/her knees submissive.

Then there is the addition of the "SO BE IT" part where if you refuse, the voice that says SO BE IT is almost reaper/harbinger like. Definitely not innocent AI that we thought. While we haven't determined what it is, we know it is evident that the 'innocent catalyst' is clearly not as it projects itself.

Did I miss anything? I'm just working off the specifics with leviathan which is recent and plays to IT very strongly.

look my first comment:

"It is pure, unadulterated self-delusion. The ending was real, it was horrid, and it's never, ever gonna be changed. Ever. Deal with it. "

All I asked was to simply pick yes or no lol

Ok I'm actually looking forward to seeing how people in the end vote and comment on that poll I just did after the first two votes and comments (separate people for the two areas)

Its sad because too many people will base their choice off of whether they like IT or not. Not by the actual options given.

I do enjoy these polls:O.

"Dont touch that!" And Shepard keeps touching the feces analyzer.

Most of the jokes came from other characters. Closest you can get are the jokes about Shepard's dancing abilities.

Leviathan tells you off an intelligence used to oversee the relations between synthetics and organics, that intelligence is the Catalyst.

Space brat tells you he is the Catalyst.

But of I'm correct, during Shepards indoctrination, the Catalyst is just a Reaper apparition in the form of that kid that Shepard saw die (another ghost).

What is Catalyst really?
Is the Leviathan hiding something, or are the Reapers really just bending the truth?
Probably the latter.

You know, BioWare could include that in the ending:

Starkid - "You can choose destroy but you will lose nothing more than you've already lost, it will target synthetics.  Also if you don't like IT choose destroy not because then you will wake up from the dreams but because choosing IT anywhere else will make you doubt yourself"

Starkid - "You can choose control, become one with TIM, become one with the Reapers.  Just simply give in and become a husk like the rest of our minions.  But wait we have grand plans for you, you'll house the brain of our next Reaper"muhaaahahahha"

Starkid- "You can choose synthesis.  It is a melding of organic and synthetic life.  In fact IT creates a form of synthesis where everyone will become more than they are now and understand the true nature of the universe around us"

Bet more people will pick destroy hehe

The scene with the Leviathan conversation is eerily similar to the desicion chamber scene. The Leviathan enthrallment scene takes place in Shepards head, while Shepards body is in the Triton.

Hmm, two more comments:

"I'd like to believe in IT, but it is only blind hope. The ending was intended as is. It was god awful, but I don't think any video game developer is clever enough to orchestrate something like the IT over the course of 3 games. Fans are just seeing what they want to see at this point when it comes to IT."

Did this person forget the founders of the company have degrees in the medical field that can cause them to edit and write in a possiblity?

"Its grasping at straws. The ending was tragic and with an ME4 coming out I can't imagine it running of of the IT theory. So yeah they made some fair points but i feel everything is explained in the extended dlc in order to prove it wrong. "

I would send the three vids I have on the signature line but then I bet I'll be reported for spam LOL

LMAO I have to admit this ending on this post was awesome!

"I think people who think IT is "secretly real" at this point have fried their brains too much by sitting on their computers and over-speculate on everything. Take a break. wow."

I admit sometimes we do overspeculate but then we go off and sleep, eat, work, play other games, etc

Leviathan doesn't use the word 'catalyst' once. That's just what you assume.

He tells you about an AI created to preserve life. He doesn't talk about overseeing the relations between organics and synthetics, that's what the catalyst himself says.

But regardless, even if the AI exists, there's still no reason to trust him. He embodies the collective intelligence of the Reapers, for crying out loud.
