I'd imagine that Bioware can only take so much stupidity at a single time.

Not locked just off the first page.

What I want to know is if IT is proven to be correct, wether it be by DLC, Bioware themselves, or both; will these nuts still claim that IT is false and that we're wrong even if the game clearly states the obvious?

They'll do what has been done throughout history - call it stupid, attack it, be pissed or flat out deny it. Maybe a few will rethink the game and go back and play it and look for all the clues they missed. Maybe half of them, but by the time this conformation comes, it will likely be irrelevant to them as they probably lack the ability to maintain the focus on it long enough to care. They'll be too busy playing whatever other games have come out, mostly games that require zero thought and a lot of shooting/killing. Not that there is anything wrong with those games. I personally love to just play the MP without really thinking about anything beyond what I need to do in that moment. It's kind of zen. Very present moment focused.

I think it would just be nice for us ITers to get the closure we deserve for having understood something that was happening that clearly went over most people's heads. For us, the reapers are still trolling the universe and harvesting civilizations. Someone mentioned they didn't want the universe safe because that would be boring. I'm a bit lost on that one because there is nothing to say that destroying the reapers makes the universe safe. That's like saying destroying Hitler made the world safe. No, it made the world safer as well as better. But here we are decades later with plenty of other evils out there. There will always be another 'bad guy'. But you don't get to the other bad guy until you finish off this one. We haven't even done anything close to that in game. It's just kicked our butts but we got out just in time so we didn't die right then. But we haven't destroyed it. We may not have ever even gotten to the crucible or in the citadel. It's very open ended at this point. Resolve is pretty much mandatory, especially given we made it this far in figuring out that IT was what was happening.

I hope they do, because then the shoe will be on the other foot.

I think some of these toe-rags don't even care if they're right or not. They just like picking fights on the internet. The subject doesn't matter.

There was a certain poster with a hanar avatar who used to troll here - (I won't mention him / her by name in case it summons them). He'd state that ME3 was terribly written in one post, then in the next claimed to be perfectly happy with control and would be indignant if IT "took that away".

He'd shift his position just to win whatever argument he happened to be having at the time. A masterclass in disingenuous hypocrisy.

Regardless of what Bioware does put into their game, I trust them, as master story tellers, to deliver something satisfying each time.

I guess any race could fight with the proper skills and equipment. Volus are capable of fighting, although they're about as handicapped as I expected. (500/100 base shield/health is pretty bad). I realize Bioware may infact be good at playing into the stereotypes we develop. 'All asari are masters of biotics' and 'all turians are expert soldiers' are just a few we've formed

I'm sure many in the galaxy as well as players themselves have always assumed volus were too weak and vulnerable to fight. Their lack of military power is, after all, the reason they lack a seat on the council despite working with council races for centuries.

i hope for the day when i can turn round to all those who mocked IT and tell them to "headcanon" their own endings....

lets just hope bioware didnt just chicken out of it and leave all the evidence in the game..because that would be beyond redemption... sometimes you have to fight for what you believe.. or else what the hell are your beliefs really worth....?

take a stand bioware... give us IT and go down in history as the ones who changed the way games are played... IT is a truly interactive experience... more than any kinect or hand held device can offer.. one that uses the mind of the player... instead of just mindlessly playing your way through the game... you truly experience it.. after all isnt that the point of a role playing game?

No it still exists - http://social.biowar...dex/14671208/40

It's just dying a slow, natural death on page 3.

Best quote from page 40 of that thread:

The only good reaper is a dead reaper.

AWESOME!

If you want to have a good laugh, take a look at that thread that Seival made about how Saren was about to talk to the "catalyst" at the end of ME1, and how Shepard interfered with Saren achieving synthesis.

Indoctrinated beyond any hope of redemption, that one. xD

I disagree. Even dead Reapers indoctrinate. (ME2 Derelict Reaper)

So, the only good Reaper is a disintegrated Reaper. =P

It's wierd because I often see Mass Effect alien races as just reskinned mythological creatures.
Asari- Elves
Salarians and Quarians- Gnomes/Elves
Turians- Trolls
Volus- Dwarves/Gnomes
Elcor and Yahg- Ogres
Vorcha- Goblins
Batarians and Protheans- Orcs
Drell- Lizardmen/Snakemen
etc.
Maybe it's just that these tropes are part of what Carl Jung called the universal subconcious and keep coming up.

When your argument centres around "the bad guy who we knew was indoctrinated by the reapers was only trying to do the right thing! I like the options the reaper AI gives" you really do have to look at yourself in the mirror and ask why you didn't work it out already

They don't want to, and it's quite sad and pathetic. It's like the story went right over their heads. Whoosh!

Not to mention the bad guy is using a male and female version of your  own voice to tell you all of his lies. That alone ought to trigger all sorts of alarms.

Please don't say it here, especially since I have to wait until 11/20 for PC, and I'm sure others don't want to be spoiled. I have no objections to links though.

It's possible (no offence to anyone who actually suffers from this) some of these people have Asperger's syndrome. You know, having a literal mind, not being able to make sense of symbolism, having trouble making associations...

A friend of mine IRL has it. Sometimes it's hard to communicate with him. He doesn't understand metaphors, for one.
