What the hell did I just watch?! I never played AC but I thought it was supposed to be back in the day. Why are there starchi-.....starwomen? What does that have to do with medieval assasinations? Why do writers always overreach by galatic proportions?! That ending gave me a headache.

Better ending to AC3

I think it supposed to be a Quantum Leap kind of thing. Nerdy dude from the future, time-travels into his cool assassin ancestors to uncover a vast conspiracy. Or something.

EDIT 'd

Except in Quantum Leap, you took over the bodies of other people's ancestors. This machine specifically ties you to your DNA. And it's not actual time travel, but a way to find out information from the past that otherwise would be lost.

EDIT: and actually, Desmond isn't nerdy. He's a cool guy who was working as a bartender before his life was turned upside down because his ancestors were pivotal figures in a war over pieces of technology left over from aliens.

Doomsday do you mind if I see the IT quote thread. I would like to read it, and see if there is anything I can add. Don't worry I wont mess up the quote.

The green hue people get in the Synthesis ending really reminds me of the geth under Overlord's influence (or under AI hacking).

Ah right. I rented AC2 once without playing AC1 and was utterly bewildered. Then gave up because I'm crap at platforming and couldn't even beat Ezio's brother to the roof without rage quitting.

Should have stuck it out, man. It's an amazing series.

I believe it was Bill Casey who said that playing Overlord was like shooting Synthesis in the face for an hour or two. Gave me a chuckle.

A friend of mine IRL has it. Sometimes it's hard to communicate with him. He doesn't understand metaphors, for one.

Sure, some might have that. But what about the other 99% ?

Maybe they were all indoctrinated before they ever played the game. Maybe being indoctrinated to one way of thinking leads to a deterioration in reasoning and logic across all subjects. How many people have you known that are indoctrinated to some certain beliefs or ideologies that aren't indoctrinated to other ones as well. It's like once it happens in one area, it makes it easier for it to happen in all areas.

The media does encourage the lowest common denominator.

Technology is a dangerous thing, I guess. But what I did not ever imagine was that it would make people dumber. That's the scariest part.

The purpose of technology is to make life easier. Sadly that sometimes means eliminating the need to think. TV for example allows one to be fed information without the need to think about it or analyze it.

To a certain extent, everybody who controls information controls you already. This is basically what starlite is saying and I agree with her to a certain extent.

Ya Overlord was a huge slap to Synthesis. Also did that Geth person say he wanted the Reapers to live? I am sorry did not see what the hell Reapers do. It makes Docter Heart look like a child. ( Wait what was the guy that Garrus wanted dead in ME1. Did I get his name right?)

play them in order or it will make no sense obviously. But you can start from 2 then go to Brotherhood and be fine. The first game isn't very polished but it has some great backstory.

I liked Ezio, but I'm excited to play as Connor. Playing as a Native American will be a cool experience.

It's a To Be Continued ending. It's honestly no different than the other endings in the series. It doesn't ****** me off in the least because to me it's just the hook at the end of a novel telling me there's more to come. It's the ending of The Empire Strikes Back basically.

AC3's ending has flopped too?

Yes, there are even two moons and it is a paradise planet (with an unstable orbit). Just like in the ending of Mass Effect 3.

While this is true, and honestly what I expected, I imagine this will still ****** some people off who were expecting a more fulfilling conclusion to AC3. It’ll be interesting to see over the next week or so if this will generate a fan uprising or not.
