If the starchild controls all the reapers than why are they gossiping about Shepard? Shouldn't they all have the same hivemind? Sounds like the reapers really are seperated entities, "each a nation."

You know, you might be right.  Why would Harbinger have to speak of Shepard if they were all a hive mind?

More importantly, why have the Reaper destroyer refer to Harby like he's the leader of the Reapers if it is in fact godcild who leads them?

Look it's simple at the end. The child is saintin. Saintin took the form of a snake and persuaded Adam, and eve to eat the apple. Shepard is being persuaded to pick Synthesis, and Control

If you notice on Destroy ( not refuse) doesn't let everyone live, how ever in Control, and Synthesis everyone lives. Destroy is the number one thing on our minds until the brat gave us Control, and Synthesis.

I also find it funny that the brat knows about Destroy, Control, and Synthesis and what they do. We also see visions of the future, and it all comes true. Just like arrival. Shepard is touching the Reaper artifact the Conduit, and is seeing the future, but Harbinger is twisting his/her visions.

We know that Harbinger has a foot old of Shepard's mind in arrival because if we fail we see the future, and what looks like the Conduit/beam run, and everyone is happy/being controld by Harbinger.

Also Leviathan to me confirms Harbinger is the brat.

It's easy to remember how to spell Satan, because it's an anagram for Santa, which I'm sure is totally coincidence or something.

Night. Byne, and right now i am in no shape to spell satan, but ya. XD. Bill well said, and Jesus died for all of mankind so they can be saved. Well look at Synthesis. Jesus dies for everyone so that mankind can worship god, and die for our sins. Yet Shepard is dying for Synthesising the galaxy.

Yet form Luke 4 to me it's like Jesus is refuseing/picking Destroy.

Thanks Davik and Restrider. This stuff is pretty mindbending, but it's a bit beyond me to be honest. That's why I did Biology at college - easier maths.

By the way Davik, please don't think my sarcastic comment from yesterday was directed at you. It was the one I made making fun of synthesis supporters which I later removed because it was a bit mean and childish, and I didn't want to offend LDS Darth Revan who seems a very reasonable person.

Doomsday, neat idea. Besides - remember in cerberus news daily there was a story about a very old derelict ship containing entire civilization inside - and how allince scientist were going to interface with them to figure out a way to save them....

But the thing is - Sovereign was fully aware of what he is, and didn't seem to mind it even a little bit. Perhaps the destroyers are different from capital ship reapers in that way.

I agree with that being an interesting concept. To use an anime parallel (I'll do this a lot) is the Philosopher Stones in Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood. It the show, the souls of the people sacrificed are showed inside the stone, though in agony, but the one inside Hoenheim have actually accepted their fate and dwell peacefully inside him, even helping in the final fight. Granted, he genuinely wanted peace of mind for them, but indoctrination can play a similar effect on those inside of a Reaper.
 
As for Sovereign, I've always seen him as one of Harbinger's and Catalyst's top lieutenants since he is trusted to start the cycle, and therefore may be enhanced more than other Reaper dreadnaughts. an example is that it took entire fleets to kill him, yet only several dreadnaughts to kill a random one over Earth.
