So haloweens come, did anything come from those holiday things in that MP map?

I mean apart from yet another MP challenge.

Well I seem to recall something in the challenge describtion about how there seemed to be more collectors than anticipated and that it needed to be verified if it was a Reaper trick or true.

Not sure if it has any importance, but interesting.

So nothing major then. I was just wondering because some people were convinced there'd be big anouncements on the hinted days.

I'm still trying to figure out WTF that was all about.

"Hey guys, what if these easter eggs are like, clues to future DLC release dates?"
"THAT'S BRILLAINT!  IT MUST BE SO!"

Not our finest hour.  Especially considering it's utterly ridiculous to set release dates that far in advance.  People were surprised, and rightfully so, when they announced Omega a month and a half ahead of time?  And people are convinced that 4 months ago they had a deadline set for goddamn Easter of 2013?  I'm not into drugs, but I'd like to try whatever they were smoking.

Haha, I was watching the GT Top 10 Video Game endings... the number 1 worst ending was for Ghosts 'N and Goblins- the ending screen was "This room is an illusion created by Satan! Start your journey over and complete it more rapidly"

Maybe if we have a trilogy playthrough under 20 hours? :)

LOL.  No ending is worse than ME3's.  At least that I know of.  Lots of games have had stupid message on a screen endings, but they were mostly ones where the story was just some bull**** thrown together to justify the gameplay.  Mass Effect is about the story, not the gameplay.  Ghosts N Goblins was about some dude in his underwear fighting zombies.  Besides, if you want stupid message on a screen endings, Ghostbusters for the NES has... I can't mock it enough to do it justice.  You must see it.

Look at that.  I just... ugh.  You can't hold NES games to the standard of today's games.  You simply cannot.

Don't be silly, ME3 has the best ending of any game ever. One of the out of touch bioware founders said so shortly before abandoning the company so it must be true.

Haha oh I remember Ghostbusters.Though it didn't have the same immersive gameplay as Pitfall for the Atari. You wanna see great storytelling? Play Pitfall for 17 hours :P

I had that game as a kid too... Terrible, even for the NES. I remember I'd eventually get to the part where you have to climb the 8 million stairs (who thought that would be fun gameplay? WHO?!) and that was it. The game simply stopped responding to commands. I tried every button, every combination of buttons, nothing would make the characters move. They just sat at the ground level until I got sick of it and decided I'd rather go get my ass handed to me in Blaster Master. Man, today's youth has it good with video games that are finishable.

Haha  did you take the cartridge out and blow in it?

It's kind of sad when I get warm feelings from remembering that, but barely any when I think of the games I played...

That's interesting. Does this suggest that today's kids won't have such good memories of games from their youth?

No matter how 'advanced' or civilized we are (or think we are), humans in their current evolution simply do have the sense of touching. It is an interface and contributes a lot to the overall feeling at attachment one develops to someone or something. So, even though we are in the age of social networks and DLC, it simply cannot be enough for a human being in its current state to enjoy something to the maximum.
Or that's how I see it, I'm sure DLC developers will argue that physical packaging and optical discs are old...

No, that's the epitome of slomo command usage.  Or something like Cheat Engine that accelerates a game's speed.

I play on Xbox, so I had to let the clock run down the old fashioned way.

can do that by just. Simply reading the strategy guide and reading through 10 pages of postings lol

hehe. Try Zelda 2. I've only beaten it twice omg!  But ya if they do a dlc of link to the past that one is worth downloading. The original's fun. If you play enough you'll always remember where everything is.

There were some incredible games back in the day, and I won't bore you kids by going into them.  N64 is like mid-gen for me, when consoles started going 3D.  Ocarina was still one of my all time favourites - maybe #1, at the very least top 5.

The funny thing is, ME trilogy was never gonna be a top 5 game UNTIL the ending, which made it one of the best ever for me.  That's the opposite effect it had for almost everybody else on these forums.
