This is probably a stupid question, but why do some of my weapons in MP have a weird glowy red background?
Does no one have an answer for this question?
You mean in-game?
No, when selecting a weapon, some have weird triangular glowy red/white stuff behind the picture of the guns.
Only ones I remember offhand were the GPSMG and the Carnifex.

Yes, I believe Bioware has said that it was "just reaper noise". The last thing you hear before being struck by Harbingers beam is "reaper noise" though. "Reaper Noise" from Harbinger no less.Davik Kang wrote...

That noise is in Leviathan too
@Baihu...
I wondered the same thing a while ago,
It sounds like submit to us or serve us or something, like spotless said. But the thing is, most Reapers in the game actually make exactly the same sound over and over again. So it's not really Shepard-specific. It's just the noise they make while tearing the place up. So there's probably little to read into it.
Yes, and at a pivotal point at the climax of the story. Bioware knew every second of the Extended Cut would be under close scrutiny as it was designed to rescue the franchise.
I do find it hard to believe, that of all the Reaper grunts, growls, squeaks and honks they had in the sound effect library, they just happened to pick one that sounded uncannily like human speech to play at such an important juncture. But maybe I'm just hearing what I want to hear.

That was quite uncalled for by Estebanus, I will give you that.
But your comment was not all that better considering that this theory has been called "a perfectly valid interpretation" by someone from Bioware. I cant quote who, but knowing my fellows in here they can quickly give a name.
Beyond that I would say if someone took the time to go through most of the collected evidence and hints, as well as put thought into the themes of Mass Effect they would realize that this far from bad fan fiction.
That dosent mean you have to agree with IT, but there is a reason this thread is called Mark III and is still going.
Also I am suprised someone who supposedly has watched Gurren Lagann would be so opposed to a "Brain Labyrinth" as I like to call scenarios like this.
The interdimensional labyrinth created by the anti-spiral was part of the story, and explicitly shown.
And I hoped that the reapers could have been lord genome, something bigger could have been the anti spiral.
Anyway
The franchise is gone, dead. It's actually quite convenient for Bioware that you people are still trying to defend the really bad ending to mass effect. They will like to keep you speculating so you can continue to finance dragon age 3. Bioware didnt have to solve their own problems, their community did it for them

Also Oh and Harbinger " You have failed we will find another way."
Destroy Shepard has failed, and now they will have to find another way because Harbinger had to release Control of Shepard's mind because the explosion could kill him. Meaning Shepard could have disabled Harbinger like he/she did Nazar.

I always pick destroy because synthesis is an affront to everything evolution stands for, and with control - what is to stop sheppard from seeing the organics synthetics problem from the reapers' point of view (since he is now a metaphysical reaper) and starting the cycle all over again

I'm glad someone else agrees with me that if literal, Control is still a horrible idea. Thats the exact thing I'm worried about with control in the literal endings.
