Tough nuts there, if you're not secure in at least a vague belief that IT is intended since they have a whole year's worth of dlc to play word games and slippery semantics. That aside, can we focus on what priestly said here and consider what that means for a very inevitable omega dlc?

That said, we are working on some very cool downloadable story based single player content. In these DLCs there will certainly be elements that will effect the end of the game. As Mike Gamble already said, depending on what you do in Leviathan there will be new dialog with the Catalyst at the end of the game. These sorts of elements are definitely possible for future DLC as well.

I only read ones like that, I don't like retcons, even of things I hate. The one fanfic I ever wrote was in the ME universe but starred none of the characters.

While I feel IT having been planned, Chris trying to make clear that they are not planning on releasing anything that expands on the ending (maybe I got the definition of 'expand' wrong) tells me that either I'm misunderstanding IT or their version of IT is something different (as he himself stated IT being a possibility for the ending).

And as I dig logical explaination and probabilities >68%, holding up the speculations is getting more and more exhausting with every statement from Bioware on their stand regarding the ending.

I know lex's advice to take a break is the solution, but if taking a break were only as easy as it sounds...

Except Chris pretty much said nothing we didnt already know, and even contradicted himself within the post, so I dont see what people are so upset about.

Its like when they announced the EC wasnt going to change the endings, or add any new ones, and people got all depressed, then it went and did both of those things to some degree.

I'd probably be less frustrated if we had a freaking release date for Leviathan to count down towards, that's for sure. Give me something, ANYTHING to look forward to here.

I still remain firm in my belief that Indoctrination was planned.The endings are too terrible and disconnected from the rest of the game to be what Bioware intended for the fans.

Well, we have a release date for the Firefight pack.  Now, I'd look forward to it more if it wasn't for the fact that it comes out the same day I'm getting my blood drawn for the first time.  That's going to be fun, isn't it?

Their fear of being wrong about Bioware's intentions lead people to jumping to conclusions without really analyzing a statement.

Don't forget MP storyline is not done yet, so still there is more to come, and Bioware is not writing off It just yet. If they wanted to do it, they could have done it before IT was even born, but they didn't.

Can we please not **** ourselves every time anyone at bioware says anything?

This is the very Chris Priestly who keeps categorically stating that IT is a possibility for the end of the game.

He also contradicted himself seconds later by adding that (as we already know) leviathan alters the catalyst scene. From the script we know that the way it alters it is kind of a big deal.

Is it too much to ask for people to have a little bit of patience, especially when we're right on the verge of a major DLC release with serious ramifications for the overarching plot?

Thanks for the compliment, but I fear it is too late for me. I really have lost all hope.

Truth is, I've been questioning my IT belief a lot the last few days, and I was utterly conflicted. For one, I wanted to keep on believing so I wouldn't let all my (now former) colleagues down, but on the other hand, I just couldn't because I just don't see any logical way how the IT could ever be implemented at this point.

So for me, this chapter of my internet life is closed. And although this must have been the best time I've ever had on the internet, and I can proudly say that I'm happy do have helped written that chapter, I must let go now, lest I become a wandering behemoth of sadness caged away.

It was a great ride, but here is where I get off. This is the end of my journey here.

It seems like there's still this prevailing assumption outside this thread that IT says "It was all a dream/hallucination." I'm curious. Is that still the most commonly adhered to version in here as well?

I actually prefer TTG's "long con" version of IT, btw.  For one thing, it doesn't require a "wake up and continue" scene.  We got an ending.

It is amazing how even some supporters take every Bioware quote to be a debunking of IT, even though Bioware have recently become famous for lies, contradiction, misinformation and doubletalk. I only encounter quotes put in this thread because I don't bother looking for them.
