Quick question, after Shepard wakes up would it continue from there or continue into ME4?

Well, we have no idea. DLC would make more sense I think.

That would make sense, I would still like a Cameo or reference to Shepard lol

Here's an out of game thought. Why did BioWare want us to experience From Ashes early? What was the message we're supposed to gain by having Javik in our squad 24/7? We could be missing something huge. I had a hard time using him because he kept dying on me in missions where others would live longer.

The message is to destroy the Reapers. He's the voice of an entire race that was harvested and enslaved. Also, they tried to control lesser races and used rigid tactics that the Reapers could predict. This isn't rocket science.

@Batman. Lol. I'm thinking Javik would toss the ninja off the ship before he even stepped foot on the Normandy for being too weak and not fit toward natural selection of the fittest will succeed

Edit- uses better terms of words

i know it's not but the literalists would say the same thing so what's the hidden meaning about Javik. It can't be that simple. He's a character with a lot of depth

And yet simple proved to be quite difficult to grasp for many people in the end, (the idea that the reapers must be destroyed).

What really surprises me - we don't get here as much trolls as we used to.... Maybe it does really start to sink in?

Maybe...we're indoctrinating them. After all it is an insidious means of changing someone's way of thinking and if we can indoctrinate their leaders entire nations will fall overnight. Javik can tell you more what happened to his culture.

Speaking of Javik. Anyone know why we are so trusting of a single Prothean when we know next to nothing about their culture or their species?  After all isn't it strange that Liara looks at Javik with suspicious awe and is getting suggestions from him that changes her way of thinking?

Javik is the least likely person to be indoctrinated.

hate to say it but how do you know?  We fought most of his race in ME 2. He was on a ship filled with indoctrinated people. And the big hint. What if the preview of him before he goes into stasis was not real but in part a hallucination?  For all we know he walked into stasis already as indoctrinated as Shepard is (orzo we all are claiming that is)

You've seen the stills I uploaded from the visions you get from Javik? (these 1 frame things) there some quite interesting bits.

Why does someone who thinks IT is not what Bioware intended, that it's bad writing, spend so much time exclusively in this thread spewing negativity, nitpicking everything, contributing nothing, and being rude to all but a few select people?

Who is this someone you speak of?

I've banned @estebanus for five days for a post in this thread suggesting that another user kill themselves. I am surprised how much controversy still surrounds IT, but that's fine... so long as we remain civil in our discourse. Suggesting that someone shoot themselves is not civil discourse.

Why doesn't vendetta recognize Javik?

Ah yes, it's not recognizing him but says stuff to him like "you are Prothean" and "your mission is known to me" or something like that. I'm really convinced you did your homework on what you just said.

Strange, in my playthrough Vendetta said "you are a DLC character who should have been included in the retail version of ME3 for free on launch day" so weird.

Some places (eg. Blizzard) will actually report people to the authorities for stuff like that. Not sure if Bioware does that or not.

I've communicated with estebanus, and I am satisfied that, in five days, if he/she chooses to return, all should be forgiven and we should all move on.

Speaking of moving on... please feel free to resume your ongoing conversation.

I don't care that you disagree because you're wrong. High EMS Destroy is the ending where Shepard wakes up from Starbabby's dream-state formed during the process of indoctrination while Shepard is unconcious. Therefore, anything that supports Destroy is valid for IT. Period. The fact that we have to argue about this astounds me.

This is utter BS
Remember Anderson? "There is always another way" one of the quotes that is predominantly used for IT, now I use it as "Destroy? There is always another way." Shep even says as much when she declines it "There has to be another way."
Just saying "destroy is good bumbum" doesn't make any stance valid for IT. It only highlights the persons stance towards that end.

You do realize that Shepard says that during the indoc attempt right?

Besides, Shepard is referring to another way to kill them.

Yes, but my point is standing that you cannot just go and add random quotes. You need context, you need intent. And the intent for none of these quotes is "in case you are getting indoctrinated, I remind you, you have to destroy the reapers, just in case there could be a try, maybe close to the finish line, but yeah, destroy them" This intent is just not there. It's random blurp that they want them destroyed and nothing else. As people here themselves said they cannot say if they getting indoctrinated or not you cannot say that the other choices are false. Maybe Control is a perfectly valid choice, not a good one, but destroy is certainly neither. There is just no bit of supporting indoctrination here but supporting destroy as a choice.

You know it supports it. Therefore whatever supports destroy supports IT since only High EMS Destroy is the Breath scene.

That one is so easy to counter: if literal Shep cannot awake because he dissolves in both Control and Synthesis. Hence no indoctrination hence your point is invalid.

To be honest, I was a bit surprised that no one really wondered about that post of his. I was disappoint in him...and that it tends to get rough in here these past days.
Are some people losing their groove?

Control has been shown to be an invalid choice through this thread so many times in so many different ways. If you of all people Megumi, who have been here since the beginning, have not seen this by now, there's no point in us arguing it with you.

Yet in literal Destroy he somehow awekens despite extensive blood loss, injury, burns from harbingers beam, being obliterated into dust by an explosion in his face, and further exposure to vacuum, hence the ending being an indoctrination hallucination. )))

IMHO, IT can be separated from the literal outcomes. IT greatly implies that Destroy high EMS is the right way to go, but... ..........it's equally possible that Shepard's brain is just so much mush after any or all of the endings. Indoctrination is a damaging process. If what we see at the end of the game is a massive indoctrinated hallucination, then none of it bodes well for Shepard. Shepard could "survive" in Destroy high EMS but be left comatose.

EDIT: I was going somewhere with this, but I've missed the mark.  By the time I straighten it out in my head, the thread'll probably be well past this post.  Nevertheless...

i was wondering how you all keep up with this thread given how fast it moves.  I guess I know now.  Though given your surprise, it will give us all something to speculate on hee hee. Hope you don't mind if we do most of us love speculating on odds and ends of this game.

*looks around and wonders why everyone is staring at me*. Did I go off into the distance again, like on Rannoch and in the Citadel and during arrival and during the dreams?  :)

Edit- and the mod gets the honor of the top spot on this page :D
