Yes. He had no context. Cool huh?

Freakin' cool. The words he chooses for synthesis are also very interesting. Not that negative at all, but also not really positive.

That's awesome. Or, wait, what if....Banshee, I think I know who's been using your xbox hahaha

Edit: listening to those tracks again,I can definitely see where those thoughts came from. Even the approaching a terminus fits well with the end of that track. Surprised triumphant didn't come to mind for destroy. Really has that military victory vibe going

WRONG. The main "bad guy" was established in ME2, the emperor of the Mass Effect series. Harbinger. All we are going against in ME3 are pawns to the main bad guy. The amazing lack of Harbinger is surprising. It's like not having Darth Vader make an appearance in episode 6.

WHYYYYYY BIOWARE?!?!?!?!

No, that's who it should have been.  Apperently we're supposed to believe Harbinger is an innocent little snowflake who needs us to end his grudging murderspree on the Galaxy.

Yeah, not buying it.

i vote for space hamster. After all he was mucking around in the engines when I found him

That's really cool!

And @ spot: I don't find Destroy to sound so 'triumphant'. It feels still subdued and wistful, however in its military way.

All the music for the original endings and the EC have screamed to me: "We're not done yet."

Of course they're not done yet. They've already announced the next one. There is still infinite possibility in the MEU.

And i can clearly hear "critical mssion failure" tune slowed down in EC control theme.

Yeah, Control music does have a kind of "you picked the bad guy option" tone to it. I didn't bring this up because it's the kind of thing that would cause a pointless argument with any pro-Control player.

Still think low EMS Destroy is worse though. Note that you don't get any music for it either.

You should see them try to explain this beauty.

I have an ME1 soundtrack and the tune we know as Critical mission failure is called "Saren"

In the CE for Mass Effect 3 there is also two addittional trakcs - one is CE-Creation (which is awesome, and it is the track from the character creation screen, but for some reason it is just Epic in scope) and the second one is called CE-Betreyal - i'm really not sure where does it fit the game at all (perhaps thessia, but i relly don't remember hearing it)

Which choice is that though?  I thought that the endings were called

Destroy vaporise / Destroy bad / Destroy good
Control bad / Control good
Synthesis

in the game files, which made me think 'Bad' was a namer for the lower-EMS endings, where more stuff gets destroyed (like Big Ben) without everybody getting vaporised

Yeah, I think it comes on when we first see Saren.  His first line is "Nihlus..." and the way he says it is perfection.  It's just so cool.  You can tell how much of a premium Bioware puts on voice acting when you hear stuff like this.

(At least I thought so... )

That's the thing with the handles from the control ending.

You don't hear Betrayal unless you're a horrible monster. You hear it at certain points where Shepard is doing something unforgivable, like shooting Mordin in the back.

That's control. All control. It's the model of the pillars that make up the device you use to pick control. That device is called "End_Choice_BadA" in the model files. Synthesis and destroy are recycled models so their names aren't as telling, but BadA implies that there's two bad choices. I think we all know which one the second one is.

True!  Though BadA could also imply there are more bad choices... maybe they are all bad

What are the models that are recylced for the other two?  I know you've said they're not telling but I'd still really like to know.

What bauffles me is that EC synthesis theme sound a lot like Uncharted worlds, + Illusive Man's theme from ME2...

Holy crap.  Even without the abundance of anti-Control, anti-Synthesis sentiment in the build up to the end, this filename, combined with the filename given to the choice feedback sent to Bioware does make a pretty compelling case that Bioware is on the Destroy side...

And the EC's "A future that many will never see" is direct reprise of ME1's "Victory" with a liitle of "From the Wreckage" mixed in(very very little).

No that were names given by players. The original names were:
(from bad to good)

Control:
EGO_BecomeAReaperAndEarthDestroyedAndReapersLeave
EGO_BecomeAReaperAndEarthOkAndReapersLeave

Synthesis:
EGO_HarmonyOfManAndMachine

Destroy:
EGO_ReapersDestroyedEarthDevastated
EGO_ReapersDestroyedEarthDestroyed
EGO_ReapersDestroyedEarthOk
EGO_ReapersDestroyedEarthOkShepardAlive

Wow.  I love how Control states bluntly "Become a Reaper".  Most amusing.  Doesn't say "Control the Reapers" or "Become an AI".

This is very helpful for me btw thank you.

Makes me wonder... given these ending names, how do you guys interpret Synthesis as being different from Control in IT?  Or do you just suppose that they're different flavours with exactly the same result (indoctrination)?
