In the first book, Revelation, when Anderson gets a message from his Divorce lawyer it's menitoned they don't have any children. Something about the lawyer being relieved there was no custody battle, just read it last week I'll see if I can find the page.
Adult children = no custody.
Quoted and discussed passage from book just a few post above yours. Not convinced they had adult children at that point, if ever.

Yes, I remember that too. And Anderson spoilers ahead they do not go back together, in fact Anderson is more interested in Kahlee Sanders.
It could be they remained friends after the divorce and that Henry is her actual husband.
A-ha, good point, and Jason could be Henry and Cynthia's son. That would make a bit more sense with the lore.
Yup, not to mention Revelation events take place twenty years before Mass Effect, who graduates at their 40's?

Shepard partially exhibits this towards EDI, even if its more formal than a true parenthood.
He'd be a good father./She'd be a good mother.

That's what emits the whisper-like sound. Being of light? There are multiple of those inside Derelict Reaper.

If you read the novels you would have likely seen that for Anderson the military always came first. So maybe he had family, but couldn't never really spend time with them. The dialogue in its original form (in pieces) is too ambiguous to say what is exactly meant.Andromidius wrote...
BansheeOwnage wrote...
Yes, exactly. Which, like most things related to the ending, means either Bioware absolutely failed hardcore or Anderson is part of Shepard's subconscious.Andromidius wrote...
Thing is, didn't Anderson have children? I'm pretty sure they are mentioned in passing.
Which makes the whole conversation completely out of wack.
http://masseffect.wi..._David_Anderson
It mentioned two men in the personal message, from his wife. From the language used, they are likely his sons.
Either Anderson isn't really there and its a construct of Shepard's mind, or its all real but Anderson and Shepard are sharing memories - a sign of indoctrination.

It's too bad (kind of) that no one here plays on action mode. I actually wonder how Shep acts. I also wonder if Shep acts the same if you play action mode on a non-import or an import.BatmanTurian wrote...
I found this interesting. I was reading through this thread and found something I did not realize. Apparently, if you did not play ME2, canon shep destroys the Collector Base. It's a big leap in logic, but it would make sense that canon shep would choose Destroy as well.

I like that not only does Shepard not get to ask any opinions from the crew at the end, she even looks like she's standing in a vacuum.

EDI is really just there as a walking 'from the Dev's mouths' machine.
Her whole character is there as a giant lesson about the plot.

Well, last of the season. They've confirmed they're gonna make more.
Not nearly as bad as when they told us season 5 was the end of the Blood Gulch Chronicles then didnt actually reveal they were making more for like a year

Attempts are ongoing at figuring out what the end product of our research was meant for. While it is obvious that the delivery system was to be implant-reliant, with evident neurological applications, many questions remain as of yet unanswered. The loss of Dr. Horace Armstrong in particular is hindering our efforts to speedily reconstruct the nature of the Illusive Man's goals. We have several parts of the whole, which lead us to chilling conclusions. But we are nowhere near figuring out what said whole might be - and that is what scares me the most.
Davik in particular should read this.
