Just finished on the past 4 weeks both Mass Effect 1 and 2 and started yesterday Mass Effect 3... This time I was looking from a IT believer point of view... And I must say ...it seems now, to me, quite obvious IT..

I mean it's so well laid out, after watching some youtube videos on it, everytime I see a reference, like the warning/danger signs everytime we get to see the kid.. Or the fact nobody else seems to notice him.. and comparing to the previous games that are still fresh in my mind those dreams about the weird kid, his eyes turning green on prothean info..don't fell right...

I never saw it this way and I believe I now start to understand why IT has so much support :)

Imo by what I've seen and felt, so far, from playing the trilogy in one take I have to start supporting IT

Edit: Can anyone please post the link to the IT sig most of you have? ;)

Welcome aboard!  It's always nice when we're able to free another mind from the matrix indoctrination. ^_^

To get the banner, just right click on the banner in my sig and copy it.  Then you can just paste it into your signature from there.  I'm assuming you know how to do that.  If not, then just tell me.

I can...

1/ Mission Journal.
2/ Face importer (still broken...).
3/ Priority: London.

A lot of the other issues I have with the game itself can possibly be attibuted to either being rushed, or unfinished, but are either more minor or less apparent.  But it had that 'feel' throughout the entire game for me, of being less polished then ME2.

IIRC, it was Garrus talking to a random crewmember in the Normandy lounge.

Yeah, that sounds right.  Now that I think about it, I can remember that part.  I believe Javik is there as well.

does this thread have a filter that knows when someone has a synthesis banner and thus filters out any posts they make?

lol that was pretty funny

No, we don't have a Synthefilter.  That's actually a good thing, since one of our members, GethPrimeMarkII, has a Synthesis banner that he uses to ridicule Synthesis.

So, I was thinking last night about what Omega might add to the endings, and the more I thought about it the more I concluded that it would probably add an extension to the "Reapers" investigate option during the Star-Brat conversation.  You know, like how Leviathan added an extension to the "Creators" investigate option (I'm pretty sure that's what it's called).  I mean, in the "Reapers" branch, that's when he tells you all that BS about cleansing fire, and, I think, more about preserving the old life in Reaper form.  If there are Collectors AROUND Omega, then you would encounter them and be reminded that the Reapers don't ALWAYS 'preserve' the old life in Reaper form.  Since you get that reminder, you can then offer a rebuttal.

I think it was mentioned either during the Ardat-Yahshi Monastery mission or right after it by one of the crewmates.

You know, I think I understand why I don't trust Synthesis. It's too utopian. Call me cynical, but I don't believe we can ever have a true utopia. And in Synthesis, it's just too perfect. It reminds me of how the (Oh look, here it is again) First Matrix ended. People couldn't accept perfection. They knew it was wrong.

Ya a filter wouldn't be good. we would look like close-minded bigots if we somehow prevented pro-synths from speaking here. Even if we disagree they are entitled to their opinion, as long as they aren't asinine about it I suppose. Now on the other hand, if they somehow had the power to make synthesis as it is shown in ME3's ending happen, then I would do everything I could to stop them. No one will force such a change on me, especially another human who thinks they know better than nature itself. Another reason I will never side with the ideals of the Templars in AC3.

on an MP note, has anyone not completed the two challenges yet? I've been engrossed in AC3 so I haven't played much ME3, therefore I still don't have them lol.

Edit: grammar

That, and the fact that synthesis (synthetic combined with organic) has been attributed to the Reapers. And the "leader/creator" of the Reapers desperately wants you to choose synthesis.

I don't believe a utopia can or even should exist; It is the notion of people reaching for "perfection"  but not even understanding what that means.  You learn by mistakes as much as you learn by doing well.  imo "perfection," as we understand it, is just another word for stagnation at its worst, at best, it is a vague notion of wanting something we don't understand.

We can't have an utopia because all the resources on Earth are finite and hence economy is an inseparable part of human condition. Until the Age of Abundance, forget that you can have everything without doing anything.

I agree with the Mission Journal being flawed and I heard there were issues with the face import functionality, but IMO London was epic and one of the best (if not the best) maps in the whole game.

Yeah, the Journal kind of sucked.  And the Face Importer isn't a HUGE deal for me since I still haven't used a custom face.  And Priority: London could only be improved if they did more with the War Assets.

I've never had issues with the face importer. I just wish there were more customization options. PC users get to have all the fun when it comes to customizations.

Finally finished 20 pages straight.  Couple of things...

Supporting what Rifneno and Byne said, I finished ME3 having inexplicably failed to get a romance option down for poor Shepard, but did not get any family-orientated dialogue with Anderson at the end.  So I also think it was cut and is inaccessible.

Spotless talked about the EC being a response to the initial severe backlash against the original endings.  I agree.  The EC changes very little about the endings in terms of game content.  The backlash was so huge that it seemed absolutely necessary, at the time, for Bioware to respond with some kind of free DLC.  Note that the EC's main effect is to add a certain amount of closure to the game, in terms of saying goodbye to the characters and the universe.  It doesn't confirm or deny anything; it merely expands on what was already suggested by the original ending.  Even the silly Normandy evac scene is just another way to say goodbye to your last two chosen squad members.

In summary, the EC isn't a useful reference for trying to decry IT.  It's just Bioware's way of trying to appease fans, while simultaneously making a stand by their original vision of the ending.  You can take it from the horse's mouth here.

This also lends support to DD's claim that any IT DLC will support Destroy (if it will support any ending) rather than Refuse, because Refuse was part of the EC - and so another way to appease fans and allow a different kind of closure.  It also made available the choice many wanted to make, but also revealed the consequences of that choice.

Did both.  Honestly the Biotic Charge one seemed...weird.  And was overly lengthy, and pretty much forced me to play on Bronze since you can't one shot anything with it on Silver (i.e. it would take far too long).

And now I'm sick of FB Ghost.

Is the Character Creation screen different for PS3?

You BioCharge, then use Nova (possibly even 2 times in a row) and then shoot the enemy if need arises.

I disagree entirely.  Reasons:

1/ Grey.  Grey.  Grey.
2/ Lack of music.
3/ Lack of choices - i.e. your war assets mean nothing.
4/ Too easy - only one part is vaguely difficult, and that's only because its a confined area filled with Banshees.
5/ Uninteresting map design - its just a grey corridor for the most part.

Now there are a few interesting bits in the level, and some cool bits in the FOB in the middle, but in general is a disappointing end to a game that was building up to something epic.

And 'some issues' with the face importer?  They said they fixed it six months ago - I imported my Maleshep and the importer didn't even get the skin colour right, let alone anything else!
