Let me toss out an idea here really quickly... Why do we need proof for a theory we strongly believe in that we feel there has been enough evidence for us to back it, particularly when it's the unpopular and even discriminated against belief? Doesn't mean we are not right or justified. I recall some horrible moments in history when certain now well respected scientists were labeled heretics for saying we were not center of the universe or whatever other examples there were that my tired mind cannot recall at this moment. Who cares if BW justifies our beliefs. Just makes us renegades and stronger for holding to unpopular beliefs that even the company who set them forth from minute one and didn't stop there denied in the end.
People read classic literature and are constantly coming up with unique interpretations and insights into what was written. But nobody is around to say no other than current followers of said literature. They don't get the approval. They may even be seen quite negatively because they don't conform to current doctrine. Our society runs on current doctrine. I look around and see indoctrinated people everywhere who think and believe whatever media and those around them tell them to believe. I've been that way and found pure misery and only in finding my own way and being more of a nonconformist renegade have I achieved peace of mind and a strong sense of self that nobody can undo.
So who cares what BW releases or says or what others believe or say. What matters more to you? Your beliefs based on the knowledge you have and how you obtained it or what the masses say when most of them are sheeple who take whatever they are told and go with it?
Sorry for my boldness, especially when I'm so new here, but seems like people are getting down because some sissy corporates are going the sissy corporate route which they most always do. True innovators like Steve Jobs are the ones who get the prize in the end. ME is microsoft linked, is it not? Microsoft had done nothing innovative and even stole from Steve Jobs yet who made the comeback and had to tenacity to revolutionize the industry in ways Gates only dreams of. And in the end Jobs was vindicated and proven to be a genius. Not saying we'll ever get anything like that, but Jobs was the underdog renegade in a world filled with unoriginal thinkers. His mark in history is pretty damn firm just like those labeled heretics.
So do you need new DLC to help you feel better in what you believe and know to be true FOR YOU.... YOUR TRUTH! We're not the majority, but look around and see what the majority is these days. Sheeple. Wish it weren't so, but everywhere I go there it is. So who cares what some developer from BW posts or what some DLC proves or disproves? The groundwork for IT has already been laid and they can't go back and change it though they are trying to rewrite it now as we post. Their loss. Going the Gates way, but Jobs was the true genius.
Because IT allows not only for parts of the final scenes being hallucinations, it allows for the whole ending to be a hallucination. That means the Reapers were never really defeated. And that in return means that we might've never actually 'taken back Earth' -- meaning that we maybe never really finished the game.
The way the ending is constricted it simply allows that to be the case. That is not only an interpretation. That is a major part of the story might be fake. And not having a DLC giving us something to tell us whether that's really the case or not, this is highly worrying to me.
This is not a question whether Deckard is a replicant or not -- something like that doesn't change a major part of the story -- it's a whether we actually did what we were supposed and promised to do. That's bigger and does need a confirmation of denial in some form.
