I tend to agree with you BleedingUranium, the thing about Jack having one of the prettiest faces of all characters.

Jack is remarkably similar in a lot of ways to a character in one of my stories, in that she's a physically beautiful woman who's a psychopathic sociopathic murderer. Who shaves her head and is covered in tattoos.

But then gets acid burns all over her face and goes even more crazy.

Hense I've got a bit of a soft spot for her. And she's more personable then my character, so... Yeah.

Psychological trauma.

Delicious, sadistic psychological trauma.

To remind the reader that everything beautiful must die. Preferably in acid.

More as a commentary that beauty is only skin deep.  And under Gerune's skin is nothing but hate, bile, rage and viciousness.

Yeah, that makes sense. It's just that you're talking to the guy that had a hard time leaving Ashley to die even though I despised her and liked Kaidan. Posted Image

Cant imagine how hard is was for you to sacrifice either the geth or quarians

That's some kinky stuff right there.  Forget whips and chains, get out the knives and salt.

But yeah, don't you worry.  I won't be killing her off.  There are much less deserving characters who need to bite the bullet, while the class V Antihero gets away with it time after time.

You don't kill off good scumbags*.  Too much time and effort was invested.

*Which is why TIM can't die.

Oh god I sat there staring at my screen for about half an hour when I was given that decision. I finally picked the quarians because, well, Tali is probably my favorite character of the series.
Then I was given the get out of jail free  paragon option and everyone wins!

mmmmmmsalt... thanks for the mental image..

And if a character must die just give her a good death or at least a deserving one.
and one should know when a good scumbag looses it´s magic and should face death before becoming something lame. like TIM turning super-evil in ME3

Yeah, i knew this option was going to be in the game, so months before the game came out i was doing my cons & pros list to know who to sacrifice.
Luckily the renegade option came and my shep gave one of my favorite badass moments and got two armies for the price of one

Taking Tali and Legion out of the picture I would have picked the Geth in a heart beat (due to them being portreyed as good guys throughout ME3) but I see Tali is effectivley the recreation of my best friend so there was no way I could kill her. I was glad, in a sense, that you couldn't always save everyone (Mordin :crying:).

Actually, it would've been hard, but not because the actual decision is hard. Geth vs Quarians? Geth everytime. Legion vs Tali? Legion. Except Tali's a she, and I've always been bothered by pretty (well... y'know) girls getting killed. Same problem as Ash.

EDIT: This isn't some moral problem I have or anything like that, it's a purely subconscious, automatic reaction.

I can't finish a Jack romance. I've tried a few times, it just... no. God, God no. She neither looks nor acts the feminine role. Even Cortez looks good in a dress if you ask nicely, but Jack... :(

Jack actually has one of the prettiest faces out of any character. That's face specifically, not the rest of her appearance, including baldness.

I have seen comparison pictures (I think in the Jack thread in the romance forum IIRC) of Jack and Sophia Loren. The resemblance is striking and would account for the beauty of her face.

On my PC.  I'm not finished with them yet.

Might show it off some time when I'm satisfied.

Kaidan's one of my favourite characters, as he reminds me of me in a lot of ways, but he really is Paragon-Stupid, like Batman, which is the way he's not like me.

He won't work with Cerberus, even if it means we all die. He has doubts about shooting Udina if you make him do it. There are more, I'm sure.

Another way Kaidan is not like you is that I actually like you, and the same cannot be said for Mr Alenko.

Awww. Kaidan is good but they turned him into a tool for ME2 which was totally incongruent with his behavior on ME1 regarding his feelings for femshep and his trust in her and that he pushed for her to go to Ilos breaking regs and risking court martial. He didn't care about anything but stopping the reapers. They basically backpeddled on his character particularly if you romanced him in ME1. So in ME3 I get payback by romancing Thane from now on since I get the best letter from him after he dies that he wrote before he was stabbed. Honestly, it was beautiful and makes me wish Thane were a permanent character or in ME1 and ME3 as a love interest because he was the best.

But yeah, kaidan's kind of spineless. He has a good nature, but he lacks balls and has this false integrity. I would think he would be floored that alliance and the council called shepard delusional about the reapers after she died. In his letter to her after horizon and in their meeting on horizon he goes on about how it tore him apart. In ME3 they even bring that feature back. But when she is standing there, fighting to save people who were just abducted right in front of him, no less, he is all pissy about cerberus. Sorry, but if I were a writer, I would have had him join the team because of how they disgraced her and broke up a great team (that saved the citadel and stopped the reapers!). That he is so broken up about her being dead and she explains to him that it took 2 years to bring her back and his first reaction isn't 'thank God you are alive' followed by 'I know you. I trust you. I followed you to ilos. I'll follow you now." - not that he should be a lapdog, but considering how they write his great love for her, he sure fails beyond the fathomable to show it. You would think given his feelings he would follow her to hell and back. Garrus did and he was only a friend and fellow soldier. Most especially, I have serious issues with any guy/character who has such deep love for another but is okay working for the people that call her delusional regarding a threat that he knows to be real. Donnelly showed more backbone and he never even met shepard! In my renegade/ruthless run, I'll romance him so I can kill him in ME3. Just for bad writing and not leaving the alliance after they trashed her memory or allowed it to be trashed with the whole delusional stuff.

I chose the Geth several times until I figured out how to make peace. Now, I choose peace. But yeah, I liked the Geth better. They were just trying to survive and didn't want war. They were sentient synthetic slaves, which they actually seemed to be fine with since they return to helping the quarians (when you achieve peace) despite everything the quarians did to them. How can a person not love them with all that in mind? A bunch of loyal, highly intelligent synthetics that will remain loyal and helpful to their creators even after 300 years of creators trying to kill them. I just wish that Koris could have survived those runs with his children.
