okay first video you see the boy with an alliance fighter. which we all thought at first it was a real ship.
Now look at video 2 and you see a girl with an identical Allaince fighter the boy has, And later on a Reaper comes down from the sky and in the next video you see Shepard pick up the toy.
Now in video 4 if you let it play for about 5 seconds Shepard looks pissed of when he sees the Husk. What if this happence after Shepard is back in the fight. Also the funny thing about the video title is " Take Back Earth" Not end the Reapers, but take BACK Earth.
sorry I forgot to say maybe when Shepard picks up the toy he is thinking about the boy, and when he sees the husk, he knows where the Reapers got the idea from. I mean where the Reapers created the boy from. The girl.

You see a ship. The ship isn't real. The kid is creating an illusion for the player. The kid controls the ship/illusion.

You've touched on something here I've been wondering about for a while. Where does the Kid actually come from? If he's a hallucination, where'd the hallucination come from? Because all other hallucinatations we see are products of Shepard's memory. Not conjured out of the ether.masster blaster wrote...

I had various theories about how he could be one of the other characters when they were younger, but they lead nowhere. I also thought it might be someone Shepard saw when she was younger, but again it leads to nothing but headcanon/speculation.
The simplest explantion of course is that the Kid is actually on the roof when we first see him. Seems odd given the symbolism of him 'controlling' the Normandy (and therefore the plot in a sense), but having seen that trailer, maybe that idea is just off.
It could be a huskified child (is that what you're getting at MB?) but we haven't been made aware of any kind of similar transformation before... would seem a bit out of the blue, especially as we need to see a trailer to even begin to understand the link...

I have to say, they made the face quite...aestetically pleasing, at least from the front. Nice design! Obviously not attractive like Asari, but hey, they're Turian (although I'm sure rule 34 won't draw the line here).
And it looks really believably alien, as it should be for Mass Effect.
Really intriguing!

The Marauder Shields comic writers came up with an interesting story behind the kid recently. The kid is from Shepards childhood and he/she saves him from bullys, the Reapers warp that memory to suite their needs trying to make Shepard forget why and what it is that they fight for.

You can use them against Eva. They just don't do jack, and you have to shoot her with your pistol.
maybe it is done to forshadow the idea that sometimes shooting the damn thing is the only way to go?

I was thinking of something similar too, but the problem is, we are not given even the remotest indocation that this is ever happened. Furthermore, other memories Shepard sees, she recognises (well maybe not the Kaidan/Ashley corpses). Wouldn't she have recognised the Kid and figured something was up?FFZero wrote...

It's probably another thing that goes nowhere... but if the Kid was real at some point... explains why he's on the Memorial Wall... but then... rather a coincedence that he's so prominent there...
Anyway. Anyone got any thoughts on the Matrix stuff? Or why Vega goes "Yeah! Yeah! Come on!" etc. when Cortez dies?

James Vega - secret head of the Westboro Baptist Church?
But yeah, that's odd. And the picture on the memorial wall is stupid as hell when you think about it. Last seen on Earth? REALLY? So he was last seen in the 150 million square kilometers of land that 11 billion other humans inhabit? Great, that narrows it right now! Has anyone seen my keys? Last time I saw them, they were in the Virgo Supercluster.
I've heard that Allers' memorial wall has all the other photos from that wall, but the kid's is oddly abscent. I haven't checked because... well, that sounds almost as boring as listening to Kaiden and Jacob discuss the weather. Oh, and if you look at that building where Shepard saw the kid after you get control of him (it's tough to spot but it's possible), then the entire garden and everything isn't there. Some people believe the Reapers blew it up before you get control of Shepard, others that it's just a bug, but it's also possible it's a hint that the child was never really there. Because there's nothing there.

Point. But this one is almost as offensively virulent as the "arrow to the knee" one from Skyrim.

Thinking about it, might've been nice for Shepard to notify the authorities "Ah yeah I saw that little blond angel, he got vaporised by Reapers, by enormous coincedence I was right there at the time, looking into his little blue eyes..." You know, to put the family out of their misery.
Reminds me of the theory someone touched on in here the other day, that the Kid is actually a person from the future, that is, Shepard's kid... the last dream when they both burn could be seen as a reference to that... what with their body language...
I wonder if they'll do a Kid reveal in Omega. It would be kind of mind-blowing if we got DLC where he was shown in some menacing or all-revealing way... like alive, or on a video, maybe in flames, "Rosebud" style...
The only problem I have with such a reveal is that it would mean that players would have to pay extra to get the full ending... unless they release some more free content at some point...

Those indoctrinated scientist saw a grey blob or something come out the wall...what memory is that from, the wife's meatloaf? And it's not like Shepard hadn't seen a kid before. Kids multiply the guilt factor by 87 (math may be off)

That actually was a common theory back in the beginning of IT. Later analysis of the disc showing pretty much all the data being accounted for disproved it though.
